I completely agree!!! i just got hold of the 6290 and 6291...even if i have the 6280 and 6289... i am missing just one boat...the 6250!! i am desperate to get it, but hard to find :(

Done i said i was a bit nostalgic of the old pirate sets... i do not like when today's minifigs have got everything on them already. and some new colour things... may be i am just getting old :)

Hello everybody I am going next week to Boston and New York. ( I Live in Sweden) and I was wondering if there are any shops that sell Lego second hand. I am not talking about Lego stores ( i will attend the Garden city opening one) or other TRU or FAO Schwarz, as i already plan to visit them. more like second hand shop where you can find sets from 1990 up to now or something like that. any help welcome. I also have a few of the small outpost that are coming soon, but i have not received them yet, will add them later

thanks for the review, that is one of my favourite set of lego pirate! i have it without the box, but now trying to find it with it. I looked on ebay for example, and there is a big difference between the prices.

Hello everybody, I visited the stores 2 days ago, and even chatted with the lego salesperson responsible for Paris. you have 3 main stores, the ones mention above, and another one, Toys r us, in La defense area, in the commercial centre "Les 4 temps" They are similar in the way that they all sell Exclusive items, latest collection, and have specialist lego sales person (paid by lego) I would say Galeries Lafayettes, are a bit more expensive due to being in the galeries lafayettes store, must have to pay extra fee. jouet club is for me the best, price wise and knowledge. exclusive items I saw were fire brigade, taj mahal, carousel ... Galeries lafayettes had more exclusive items, they were selling death star, medieval village, fire brigade, carousel, taj mahal. That was nice to see those shops, but i was not that impressed...I feel my local jouet-club in Britanny had good offers (except exclusive items) We miss a lego shop in Paris, that is for sure!!!

first i thought it was a review of a real set coming out! but no, it is a beautifull MOC that you did there! I would buy it!! congrats!

nice sets on sale...but shipping to Europe might be a bit complicated :(

thanks everybody! i have been looking around the forum, and some of the pirates MOC ships are just beautifull! I am getting 9kg of pirate legos this w-e, i will start building ships and see what we can take out of that :)

Hello everybody, I am starting my second life as a lego fan at 32 years old, after a break of almost 20 years :) The combination of my son's interest for lego and that I found some old lego in my parent's house made me come back to my old addiction :) I collect mainly aviation/cargo and Pirate themes...but also interested in some 80/90's sets I am planning to make a nice and big airport soon, and also a pirate ships fight.
