  1. Simply fantastic! I have daily updates on that topic, and everytime i receive an email about it, i am so happy to visit this! well done!
  2. I was in Geneva a few months ago and two shops had plenty of lego: 1) Weber in the main shopping street (as mentionned), on the top floor) 2) MANOR, big department stores (Rue Cornavin 6) I even found a the train 7898 -( cargo train) there and bought it. they have a huge lego display on one side and on the other side....Playmobil. they were knowledgeable about new sets coming and eveything.
  3. oh nice to know! I would love to come and meet you guys. I will try to make it happens next year!
  4. looks like i wont get mine... and when i see people can just go to a store and buy some... thing is i have no store close by... oh well...looks like i will have to pass on that one!
  5. yes you should be worried... my order placed at 9h00 CET on the 3rd was just put on backorder, and one guy from lego called me saying that there are no minifig left, so they won't be able to send me one!! i am so dissapointed!! one of my friend ordered the same day at 16h00 CET and NO star wars, and got a minifig!!!
  6. I had the same problem, ordered a couple of star wars sets to get to the limit, and no mention of the minifig or poster. It was though a "special code" mentionned when i ordered, but it is not mentioned on the order details. Just called Lego service center, and will call me back as they experience a lot of traffic and problems...
  7. I am watching Avatar right now with my son, and I just watched a couple of episodes with that poor guy and his carbages! hahah thanks for making me laugh!

  11. well...if it is a 1st april fool, a bit early...unless you live in Australia :) if it is really true, it is sad...actually the first time i see somebody giving up EVERYTHING. Seen many giving up themes...to go for other ones... anyway...any star wars episodes 4-6 I would be interested in.... and good luck!
  12. If you take the historical part, you could technically make the army of the "chouans"... They were royalists and were fighting in the middle of the 1790's.they look a bit like your minifig. I have two suggestions though: white arms seems to be good, and flat hats, instead of those tall ones you have. i found a picture on the net for you: and this one is famous in France, he was the leader of the "chouans" army, le marquis de la roche jacquelin:
  13. i will ask a friend that works close by if he can confirm on monday

  17. Hello everybody, I got hold of some MISB bionicle boxes (8995 and 8996) in a lot I bought, and i have no clue about that theme... I can see they are discontinued on brickset. Would anybody be interested in those 2 boxes? i have a couple of copies of each. and if yes at what price? i can see roughly prices on bricklink and ebay, especially the 8996 looks rare. they are by the way brand NEW in mint condition. I have a bricklink store as well, so we could deal through there if anybody interested. Thanks for reading
  18. interesting topic! :) i am 32, came out of "dark age" a little bit more than a year ago, and i am very open about it! colleagues, friends, family, i mean everybody knows about it. my wife been collecting lego for me, my mum did, my dad did, my mother in law did!! picked up lego for me that i bought on local second hand markets or ebay... i have even convinced a few colleagues that did love lego secretly, and by opening my mouth, 5 colleagues went to talk to me and we talked about our lego passion! we are even thinking of creating a lego club in our office since more and more colleagues come to us and talk about it!!! the other day, at a dinner, i met a guy who was a collector in comics, i told him i was a fan of lego...well we spent 2 hours talking about our common passion... felt great! i have so much more examples with neighbours, friends, colleagues, or just people you meet in local shops...I feel proud and happy being an AFOL, and i want to share it!
  19. thanks for the review... was not considering buying it...but now that i read your review...i think i will !! :) smart also that minifigs fit in the cockpit
  20. trully impressive! well done on the ski lift!
  21. very nice creation here!! jansued = 1 pt kost u grlu = 1 pt skalldyr = 1 pt etzel = 1 pt twigman = 1 pt
  22. i love that bank and i love that plane! I will buy them definitely, but i won't bother with the new police sets...
  23. interesting topic regarding the end of my dark age...it happened exactly 1 year ago...when my son (4y, now 5y) got the city fire station for christmas...his first lego set...we spent the whole afternoon building it together...atfer christmas, the local toy shop was doing sale and we bought a few more sets related to city and built and played with them doing stories. the light came to me! i was such a big fan of lego when i was young, now 32, that my mum told me that i would spend hours in my room with my brother playing with castle sets (mid 80's ones) and later technics... (one of my old friend recently told me "i remember you had the biggest castle of all" :) ) anyway, my passion came back in the past 12 months, and today sharing with my son. we plan to do a nice city airport that i will hopefully be able to show you within the next few months. (a big airport with cargo, passengers, monorail train in the middle and all that stuff). we also like pirate theme, toy story and castle. regarding my wife...she complains sometimes that it takes some space in the house! but she softens a little bit when i spend so many hours building and playing with lego and my son "leo"! money wise...well yes...i have bought a bit too much this year...but hey, we live once!! I guess it is easier to explain when you have kids, and that is how i came back to lego hobby. LONG LIVE LEGO!!
  24. great job! i like the conveyor and the large glass windows! very very nice!
  25. it is a beautifull castle you have done here! if i have one critic to make, when the knight is talking with the ladies, on one the last pictures, would have been nicer with some sort of windows, may be Light Gray Panel 2 x 5 x 6 (number 4444) would have looked nicer? but hey!, no big deal, such a nice detailed castle!!
