Werewolf Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread

I think that the jobs will be told publicly, and it's just a job and has nothing to do with what I use to do at night. My motto is working at day and... "relaxing" at night. Is any of you nice girls interested in helping a detective to "relax"? I assure you, I find out what you're hiding, cleavage or not. Yeah, hope I didn't kill myself before the game started. I think I should shut up. -

I think that's beyond all question. Wait a minute, you are the policeman of this town that calls a detective from London because they can't handle a werewolf problem? I guess you are very authoritative. -
Pirates of course. They've even got an own forums, while castle has to share one with the other historics. Although I have far more castle-themed sets than pirates, I prefer the pirates. I've always liked the shakos and the red coats at all, and the muskets and the ships were very nice as well. I'm afraid I came late for them, and the new line isn't as good as the old one. I wonder why Lego has constantly a castle line, and has brought up a pirates line that late, but at least they have. And although it's discontinued, they still have a pirates-themed line. I think there's much more to do out of pirates than castle, as we see castle is only castles, carriages, knights, kings, princesses and grotesque monsters, while pirates has forts, blue coats, frigates, red coats, hide-outs, armada, treasures, islands, islanders, you might even use foreign countries like chinese piracy during the Opium Wars, Wokou piracy, African piracy, colonialism, imperialism and so on. I think Lego is concentrating too much on castle stuff which is dealt with ad nauseam, while they underact the pirates line. Sorry if I offended Castle fans, I didn't want to sound harsh. Just what I think, said in a drastical way.

Well, the guy with the Lupin outfit with the cracked seams could be a werewolf, the Lady with the nice boobs, oh, and of course the guy who wears a hat wrongly. -
And there's people who say it was unhealthy when the arm is separated from the body Nonetheless, great one, WampaStompa.

Not that I trust our host, but if we kill him, this game will never start. Don't think you're of the hook! unvote: JimB/the host[/b Vote: Alopex You better be right about this one, or I know who to vote for when I change my mind again! You're accusing a bit too much and too many to be "innoncent". I just hope I won't be the first one to die once the game is up. Don't want to annoy anyone. -

You're always Quinn, right? Well, I just realized that JimB first played villagers off against werewolfs and now avoids us killing ourselves. Clear sign of scummyness. Unvote: def Vote: JimButcher -

This vote seems very scummy, if you ask me. Vote: def -
Wow, I've just read through all the 82 pages, and I must say, I'm more than impressed. I am not really bothered about the digital Lego, it looks very good. One question: Is there any particular reason why you used mostly real existing parts and figures or do you just want it to be more realistic? The story is catching, I can barely wait for the ongoing. Overall, great job you did on this

I'd like to look under the carpet in the living room and in the refrigerator for anything suspect.

Great ones, George and Luxor. I love the viking one, although I must admit, it took some seconds to get it The one with the ape and the monkey is hiliarous, but you're right, it doesn't need captation.

I like the possibility of smaller, more minimalistic mafia games, hosted by rather young hosts where mainly newbies and some people who didn't get into the current big mafia game can play. I think, such games with 8 to 15 players might be played quite fast and would allow more people to get hosting experience. I think that's what you meant, isn't it, def?

Nice home you have, Nurse Parker. I'd like to look in the garden for something unusal, suspicious or communist.

Well, I think it's hardly possible to understand my weird mind I'll try to explain this a last time, and then it goes into my brain's recylce bin. Overall there's the struggle scum vs. town (or roylists vs. revolutionists, staying with my French Revolution background, to do it more concrete). The town (revolutionsts) consists of four smaller partys (Girondists, Jacobins, Enragés and Indulgents). The townies know no nothing but their own party, not even the other party members. The scum knows only who's the other scum. The townies have to work together to kill all the scum, and the scum has to outnumber the town.(as usual). Each party has a seperate winning condition and a seperate party bonus. I think that sums up my idea totally, if it's still too weird to understand, relax and try not to think about it anymore.

I don't think so. The flag can only be seen from the roof, so a ship or a submarine wouldn't even see it. Maybe the commies came more often than once up here, and this is a sign to a second spy. Or one of the firefighter has been a sleeper, and the flag on the roof of the fire house was the "awakening" signal.

You know you're a LEGO addict when you can't go shopping without buying some collectible figs, no matter what you originally planned to buy .

Don't worry, it's just an idea, and I most propbaly won't even get to use it, as I have a much easier and much more worked out idea for a mafia game, in case I should ever host one. Which I'm not gonna do yet, as I have only played two games so far.
-
Actually, I meant that people don't know each other's side. It's like normal mafia games, but instead of one side town and one side scum, the town is divided into 4 sides. So, normally it's Town vs. Scum. In my idea, the town sonsist of four sides, so it was Town 1, Town 2, Town 3 and Town 4 vs. Scum. To differ, each of the towns has a special winning condition and a special bonus, and the members of one town side don't know each other, only the scum is of the knowledge of themselves. Example role: You are NAME, [characterization of the role]. You win if the whole scum dies and your groups passes it's winning condition. Allegiance: Town 2 (in a themed game, the groups would get names) Your group's special ability: It takes two more votes to convict someone of your group (or something else) Your groups special winning condition: Your group's members only win if those players get killed: (or something else)Your night action: You may attempt to investigate someone at night to learn his allegiance. (or something else) Or however you want to write a role PM. Just to explain how this was meant. The scum would be as in usual games, they would just have to figure out the town's night actions, prevent their men from being killed and finally outnumber the town. Of course you would have to make sure that the conditions are possible and the special abilities aren't too imbalancing. A possible background would be French Revolution, with Royalists as scum, and Girondists, Jacobins, Enragés and Indulgents as four townsides. This would have to be more worked out, as it's just an idea, and I don't have the figures to realize it, but you can transfer it into another theme.
-
I'm not sure I get what you mean. If you discover one scum, you will still have to find the others, or you won't win. And if the scum outnumbers the total of the 4 towns, they will win, so you have to make sure you vote for the right persons. But please clarify, as I don't understand Maybe you misunderstood my idea, I'm not sure I expressed myself clearly.
-
Yeah, but how would voting be done? And the use of night actions might be much more randomized, as the need of precision is much smaller. Yet an interesting idea. I've thought lately about an idea I had, about a mafia game like that: There are 5 sides, 4 of them town, one of them scum. The scum knows all the other scums, as usual, but the four towns have all no clue on the sides of the other townies. All townsides have to work together to get rid of the scum, but each single one has both a small special bonus (like taking one more vote e.g. to convict them)and a further winning condition (like killing someone or keeping someone alive or preventing or doing something), which they have to do. The single sides are more likely to win if they find each other, but overall they have to kill the scum. Sounds interesting, doesn't it? I'm yet thinking of it, and I have some ideas. I also have some ideas on further mafia games. I'll sure try to host one sometime.

Are those communists already bringing the flags for an invasion? No, seriously, it's highly suspicious. It might be that Brandon or Jesssica or Brenda are related to the USSR spies. And if the government has started evacuations long before, why did they wait to send an investigator until 9 days ago? Washington should have sent Matt some weeks ago. Well, back to the flag. Could it be seen from different angles, like the streets, the air or neightbour buildings? Which buildings are near to the Firehouse? It's possible that it was used to give a sign, maybe the commies wanted to be extracted when they heard of X-K2P. This would explain the shots we heard of. Is it possible to go to the secret faculty, or will the national guard shoot us? Can we go with a group of them, or maybe just send down some of them down there to investigate? Or will they just stand around and make sure we can't escape when the commies come to kill us?

You seem to be right. But still a good thing. And it seems to be in the foutain and the cabin as well. I just realized Skeleton Barbossa had Ninjago skellie feet. But the apple is a great detail. And there will be new sword-holders (sorry, i have no idea how they're called, neither in German nor in English)in the style of the indy bag Can't wait to get some. And I don't think the globe is a new piece, it's just a fully printed Bionicle shooting ball thing. But I don't exspect anything more. And yes, I saved all but the Whitecap and the QAR. Or is it illegal to claim so? -

Yay, fnal pictures. I must say I'm positively surprised. I'll have to buy the isla de la muerta, as it contains lotta gold, a great Elizabeth, two of the new musceteer hats and do I spy a new compass in Jack's hand? The captains cabin set is already bought as well, as I always need dark tan and black figures, bottles and a globe, that looks prettier than any preliminary pic could make me imagine. The ship in the bottle seems to be printed, but I don't mind. The cannibal set might be great for many pirate fans, dreaming of growing islander tribes, but not for me. It's well done, but not well enough for €39.99. The mill is a nice set, although I'm not sure I like Hadras. It's a bit small, and doesn't contain globes, compasses, red coats or anything else that is interesting to me. Edit: I forgot the heart. Beautiful, butdoesn't tip the scale. The fountain looks far better than in the preliminary pics, but I'm not sure. Blackbeard and especially his sword look a bit too comic-like to me, but Barbossa has a great new hat and a blue coat commander uniform. It also contains the round map. The whitecap bay is of no interest for me (since the mermaids ain't topless ). It makes a nice pirate hide-out, but not with that price. The QAR is a bit high toward the stern, but I like the color. Let's look. And no picture of the London escape I want to see red coats
