I was actually wondering something similar in that even though he may have been janitored the way by which affiliation is determined is by inspecting the stump which in Alastair's case are inexistent. Would he regrow a stump? Makes no sense! The more I think about it the more I fear we will never find out if he was Maple or not ... At least not in the short term.

Speculating I know I can talk here, I can't vote and I think I can't PM the living; still looking to find out the extent of my limitations.

2 votes missing; I'm a big fan of the "we need a lynch on day 1" strategy so ... let's go! I understand your need to pursue the person you feel is more suspicious but let's face it, a no lynch does not advance the situation as much as a lynch would regardless of the outcome. At this point, a vote for Agnes, Berty, Hazel, Catarina or Chester is a lost vote. Just a thought ...

Quite a lot was said whilst I was gone; based on the conversation I am more suspicious of: Larry -> Why did you feel it was necessary for you to step in and defend 2 peers when you clearly had no reason to? Alastair -> Let's face it, Hazel's justification was $hit and you know it; there was no reason for you to unvote and now, once under scrutiny you may re-vote for her ... what? Hazel -> Random vote, really? You contributed next to nothing since this whole thing started and used someone else's conclusion to justify your vote. Now, these 3 are as likely as anybody else to be Maple but my heart wants to vote Hazel to spare us the nonsense later in this situation, my gut tells me to vote for Larry seeing that defending people we know nothing of is really not an Oak-y thing to do, and finally my head tells me to vote for Alastair since his lynch may give us more insight on his main detractors. Not really, this was in the optic that people were still discussing game mechanics and making puns and all that irrelevant stuff It was meant as sarcasm; you know how when you retract yourself, it can be perceived as maple-y

Typical day one accusations/discussions so far; have we moved passed the "william is maple-y" thing or is this still on the table? As far as I concerned, this is the thing that struck me as the oddest; we only had a few comments made and there was already someone poking or trying to get a feel for what I presume was an attempt at setting up a lynch.

I was kind of hoping my post would steer the discussion away from the puns and random speculation about alignment and numbers ... Failed ...
