  1. A good old blast of the past. I might just have a copy of that same catalogue in my Loge-booklet-box, thanx. This was from the time that I started with Lego-technic myself, I clearly remember the 8030 to be my first technic set.
  2. I like this very much for nostalgic reasons !
  3. The XML-parts-list files on my website make it easy to find the parts at Bricklink. The Elecxtric Power Functions-parts can best be bought at shop.lego.com To load the Brickstore XML-files, right-click on the link and use “Save target as...” To open the Brickstore XML-files, Brickstore-software is required. This can be downloaded at www.brickforge.de . This program makes it easy to find the required parts at Bricklink. http://www.brickforge.de/software/brickstore/ In Brickstore, there is an option “Export List XML to clipboard”. Use it after loading the parts-list file and press OK. Then the Bricklink site opens on the "Wanted list Mass Upload page". Paste the wanted list to the entry field (Ctrl + V) and press "verify items". Scroll down and press "Upload file" and then "view your updated wanted list" If you go to the (next) tab "By shop" you can see which shop have how many of the parts you need.
  4. Isn't that what all us guys do: talk about beatifull cars (Vampire GT) and women ?
  5. Truly amazing and absolutely stunning creation.
  6. Hi Efferman, I've been making instructions and parts-lists for some time, so here are my thoughts: 1. I make instructions with MLCad. I use Brickstore software to create parts-list files from the MLCad-file. You also might consider contacting Rebrickable to have an online-parts list. 2. I use as little text as possible. Not everybody understands english, and pictures are universal. 3. Yes, it's quite usefull which additional parts are needed. The are lots of people who don't have spare parts, only constructed sets. 4. If possible, use the normal battery-box. But if building-space is limited, the AAA-box is a good replacement of the Rechargeable one. I really like the rechargeable battery-box, I can advise it to everyone, but I realize, it's very expensive and a lot of buildiers don't have it. 5. Yes, avoiding rare parts is a good idea. 6. I don't use LDD. 7. A way to contact you if people have questions.
  7. Looks good so far. I'll be following your building progress.
  8. MLCad and LPub4 are the Lego Cad-programs I use. But I only use them after completing a MOC in real bricks. I use these programs to make instructions.
  9. There are models and free instructions on my website: Jurgens Technic Corner
  10. You can also design your own chassis and put the 8466 frame on top op it. I used the Chassis of Sariel's Jeep Wrangler and made it look loke an 8466.
  11. As you can see in the video, this car can drift a bit.
  12. Nice instructions, thanks. You might want to move the 3 x 0.5L grey liftarm to the very last step (from page 13 to page 14), or else the inside of the LA cannot be placed.
  13. Noop, I didn't get any Lego for Christmas, so I'll just work on my own model.
  14. There's some goodbuilding going on there, Jack-Jedi. I can see some similarities with my Small Red Racecar, I recognized the bumper. It looks like your car has return-to-centre steerings as well. With me it works best to just start building, keep what you like and change or remove the things you don't like.
  15. Cool mod. Just a pity that you just leave your PF-receiver lying loose inside. I can advise to mount in in the roof to improve signal-reception.
  16. It's been quite some time since I've built it, but I remenber being quite exited about the building proces as well as the finished model. I didn't add the extra hose to the pneumatic cylinder, cause I didn't expect it to work better. And I was positively surprised by how well the 6-wheel-steering worked. But as with most of my sets, it didn't live long and it got recycled so I could use the parts in different projects.
  17. Very cool !! I like the suspension and of course the high speed.
  18. I'm not a fan of tanks, but this MOC is remarkable, having all the PF-functions nicely hidden away inside the small hull, impressive.
  19. I made these instructions on my own, without help from Blakbird this time.
  20. Does this mean my help is no longer required? And aam I allowed to post this in the Trains-forum as well ? There might be some train-lovers who don't visit the technic section, but who will find this model usefull.
  21. I created full building instructions of the container crane, designed by Barman (the same guy who made the big V8 and the Avatar Helicopter). The crane is in minifig scale and can be combined with normal Lego trains and trucks. It has full PF-operation of the 4 crane-functions. The instructions and parts list can be downloaded on the instructions-page of my website www.jurgenstechniccorner.com
