  1. About the size of the 8878 Rechargeable battery: the height is exacly 4 "bricks"-high. This is the same as 12 plates. When you put a brick under and on top of the 8878, the holes of those have a distahce of 6 studs. This picture might be helpfull:
  2. Thanks, Tobbe Arneson for your further explanation. I was already able to help Efferman throug PM. We came to the same conclusion: the dipper isn't strong enough. As I see it, this could be solved in 3 ways: * add gear reduction * use XL instead of M * place the motor in the arm to shorten the drivetrain, making it loose less energy on the way. I didn't consider this a problem with my Ultimate 8043, because you can operate the dipper & bucker simultaniously. This way you have enough digging-power.
  3. The double rear-wheels really add to the looks of this amazing model. Although, I don't have this set, I once built it using instructions from peeron. Those studless versions look really nice too.
  4. Wow, wow, wow. It's like looking at my own model (which I do a lot ). Big thanks for this awesome render. I'm getting better at making renders, but haven't reached this quality. This image will be my desktop-background !!
  5. I still don't understand. What do you mean with "the motor from the stick" ? Maybe if you explain in German, I can understand better. I'm Dutch, but I know a bit of of the German language. You can PM-me or send me an email at info@jurgenstechniccorner.com. I'll be glad to help.
  6. Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. M ? Gooseneck ?
  7. Yes, it has 1:1 ratio. This drivetrain uses 16z instead of 12x and 20z gears.
  8. Thanks, that means a lot, coming from one of my favorite truck-builders. Your works has served as inspiration for this creation as well. Sorry, I was so busy working on my new LEGO-website, that I totally forgot to upload the MLCad documents. The files are now in my brickshelf-folder (when public), on my website in the instructions-area. Here are the deeplinks: MLCad-file for 8878-version (recommended) MLCad-file for standard batterybox-version Your fantastic renders are allways greatly appreciated.
  9. Brickstore-files are online. They can be found on my wegsite www.jurgenstechniccorner.com.
  10. Yes, this is the MOC is was working on. Now I can start making the Ultimate-8043 Parts list. And I've actually considered choming the grey parts, but it would require more than 60 parts to chromed, and that gets a bit too expensive. No plans yet for a bigger one, but who knows...
  11. Those tubes came from a very old classic space set 8-)
  12. This is a 1:23 scale model of a typical Maerican truck, inspired on the Peterbilt 389, topmodel of Peterbilts Traditional Line. It is not an exact copy, I just needed a specific truck which could serve as an example. The base of the truck is 13 studs wide, the truck itself 15, if you count the rear-view-mirrors. Features: * Studless design (whereas most trucks are brick-based) * Remote controlled driving & steering * Both rear-axles are driven through differentials * PF-lights * Can be used with joystick and speed-control remote * Opening hood with dummy engine * Opening cabin-doors * 5th wheel ready for trailer with steering Initially it was built for participation in an “Allround Car Competition” with the theme “All But Four”. This meant that all vehicules must not have 4 wheels. Eventually I decided that it wasn’t fast enough and that the ground-clearance was too high to drive over obstacles, so for the ACC, I built the Trike instead. I liked the model much, so I decided to finish it and make instructions for it. I will even make a special trailer for it, which will be my next project. Instructions The model was designed for the 8878 rechargeable battery. After finishing the model I realized that the normal batterybox fitted inside as well. So I decided to make 2 sets of instructions: 1 for the 8878 and 1 for the standard batterybox. Although I’m a big fan of the 8878, it’s very expensive, and lots of people don’t have it for that reason. Now those people can still build it with normal batteries. The instructions can be downloaded on my brand new website www.jurgenstechniccorner.com
  13. No, LDXCentre is a PovRay-Parameter and is used for rendering. It's being generated by software and represents the perfect centre of the model. 0.0.0. is "just" the centre of your model in MLCad.
  14. I'm really looking foreward to those video's. The working model I saw at Lego world is really remarkable
  15. Although this info is indeed completely useless, I really like this kinda stuff. And besides, it's still a wonderful model. I did a simple motorization of it last summer.
  16. @ Jetro: Yes, it's a real pity, I would really have liked meeting & talking you. I went there on the first day (20 october) and I didn't even know you'd be there. I'm seriously thinking about presenting my own models there next year, so who know, maybe will meet then :-)
  17. Very nice. And driving this one on only 2 wheels is hilarious. I like this little fellow
  18. Pneumatics are indeed really cool, I agree. But I like LA's much as well. When I would compare my Pneumatic excavator DEC-24 with the Ultimate 8043, I'd prefer the Ultimate 8043 in performance. Okay, pneumatics are stronger. But in an excavator model, it's important to have precise control of the actuators, and that's where LA's stand out. It was more fun to operate than my excavator DEC-24. Pneumatic Excavator DEC-24:
  19. Still working on my other MOC. And I just created Brickstore parts list for my previous MOC's. And I'm waiting for the new LA's to arrive. I like to use those when I make the 8043 again.
  20. Looks very cute. And quite amazing that he managed to fit all the PF-parts in that tiny car and still include a working V4
  21. I found out how to make a brickstore XML-file from my MLCad files, so I will be able to provide a Brickstore file when I finish the parts list.
