The Curse of IMHOTEP - Confirmation & Discussion
Cecilie replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Johnson Cox here, sorry I'm late, I was busy trying to decipher some of those hieroglyphs over by the statue. Oh my, Sheila, you look even more lovely with some sand in your hair . -

Wow, that's an impressive build! I love that stone wall techique, and everything else about this! The snow on the trees is a nice touch, and you've created some very lovely interior furnishings.

Welcome to Eurobricks Fridwulfa . Nice to see more fellow Norwegians in here, not to mention a fellow female Norwegian . Btw, have you discovered the Norwegian LUG at www.brikkelauget.no yet?

Well, he got a lot of help with that, Chromeknight was the one who orchestrated his rescue behind the scene, helped by me who thought Chromeknight was a trustworthy townie! But luckily it worked out for the town in the end -
What can I say, awesome and hilarious review Hinckley! Now I just wish I could run to the store and pick this set up, but they won't be available up here in the cold north until Mars

Wow... I'm stunned. This is really the best quality brick flick I have ever seen. Not only is the animation smooth, but it feels like a real movie with great transitions, positioning and lighting, and the story and voice acting was great too! I'm truly amazed and impressed. It's not just a good brick flick, it's a great movie that happens to be made through the medium of LEGO. Hoping to see more from you

I'd love to get a chance to play with the more experienced players . 1) Killed first night in Cirque du Freak, passed Mafia School in the Withbreed. 2) I'm never far away from a computer, and I'm not going anywhere for the next 6 weeks. 3) I've been following a few Mafia games before I joined a Mafia School, and it's hard to pick just one moment, so I'll go with one bad and one good: - Captain Tamamono's Gut Feeling leading him in the completely wrong direction on the last day of the Belville Mafia for a gigantic facepalm moment. - How Rick outsmarted everyone as the serial killer in the Baritones 3, and won it with the scum. -
Thanks . I spent a lot of time getting the window design right... I actually had the idea already last year, but didn't have enough tan bars then .

Thanks everyone for your nice comments . Uhm, you mean the chimney? It has occured to me that the sheaf of grain may be a bit too Norwegian (or possibly Scandinavian) for people to recognize it for what it is, but at least my fellow Norwegians are getting it

B-OV-16D The newest addition to my winter village is a chocolate shop. The kids love to stop by just to look at all the chocolate goodness through the windows. A Christmas wreaths salesman has put up his booth next to the chocolate shop. He sure knows where the customers are . Maybe it's not such a wonder all the houses in the village are packed with Christmas wreaths... An old lady is feeding the pigeons some breadcrumbs. The most popular item in the shop is apples dipped in the chocolate fountain. Maybe it's because the parents feel it's a healthier treat for their children? Mr. and Mrs. Chocolatier live upstairs, where they also make new chocolates to sell in the shop. It's not easy keeping up with the demand of the chocolate loving people in the winter village! More pictures can be seen on flickr.

Don't be so modest . The building is great . I love how you did the corner, and your interior is just mind blowing! Looking forward to seeing more from you!

How did I miss this? It's just awesome on so many levels . Fireplace Toy Soldiers Bowling! Go Santa! Love how you did the gutters btw .

That's an amazingly great build! You've captured so many fantastic details in this. And the scene is so lively. I like how you've posed the guy in green so it looks like he's just drawn his katana. And your bonsai trees are excellent! Everything is so well thought out. Please keep your comments in english on an international forum.

Sure us Norwegians haven't been left out on purpose? With so many winners, I can't help but feel a little bit left out . Oh well, someone had to be in the small group of losers... Congratulations to those who did win, and thanks to CopMike and Siegfried for making an exciting advent calendar here on EB

Now that's the way to get into the Christmas spirit! Thanks for sharing this.

That tricycle is ingenious . Merry christmas to you too

In my opinion, even if the new style life jacket wasn't so poorly designed around the neck, it couldn't replace the old one, because they mimic two different styles of life jackets. The old style looks like those vests you would typically use on children, that has a big collar to keep the head above water. While the new one looks more like the type worn in water sports such as sailing and jet skiing (and thus is actually more appropriate for this set). This vest actually allows you to swim with it, while the first type just forces you to lay on your back. It's just too bad it has the problem with the neck, because the rest of it looks very nice. (Yes, I have spent a lot of summer time near the sea, where we have a small boat... and I have progressed from the first type of vest as a child, to the latter as an adult )

Now, I wonder what this could be ..........

REVIEW: 8827 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6
Cecilie replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Awesome review WhiteFang . I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this series, I feel it's one of the best so far. Some of my favorite things about this series: - The hair on the sleepyhead - The sleeping face - Not only do we get a surgeon, but it appears to be a female - Roman legionnaire! - Proper classic alien - So many cool new accessories: T-bone steak, cleaver, teddy bear, pot, x-ray tile, +++++ - Even if it's the third skateboarder, it's finally a female one! (And her clothing is awesome, except for the striped arms, which I don't like, but that can easily be fixed ) Yes, I admit it, I'm addicted to the collectible minifigs . -
Those new life jackets look completely ridiculous when the heads can't go inside properly. I wonder what on earth the designer(s) of that piece were thinking... Funny that both the picture on the bag and in the instructions shows the old style life jackets though... Btw, nice review . Too bad this polybag is nowhere to be found here in Norway (we never get any polybags anyway, except on very rare occasions when one is included with the Donald Duck magazine).

I just have one thing to say: that ice Pacman is so cool .
-
Thank you . Sadly, I doubt I'll be able to come this year . But even if I did, I think I would have some troubles transporting that many vignettes on the plane .
-
Cool idea, and nicely executed . Looks a bit like a greenhouse, only for growing people in it instead of plants? .
