Well done on this beautiful work so far mate! The flower shop is simply brilliant, the apartment is very nice, and just about everything in it is perfect! Good work indeed, and keep brickin'!
-
Well done Mdrn! I love the roof shaping, as well as all the detail you added, such as the actually sliding door and white trim, plus the ramp which is also very accurate! I've always been happy with your builds, and this is one of your best! Keep at it mate!

Well done, the interior and book shelves are quite clever, and I too think that the yellow and tan blend quite nicely! Good work on this creation mate, and keep brickin'!

Well done on this beautiful work mate, I think one of my favorite rooms is the galley with that curve technique, I've never seen that before! This entire ship is just insane, and the power functions are beautiful, good work mate

How much would it be for the Indiana Jones sets and the Green Grocer?
-
I think I can about cover this with HOLY SCHNIKEY! That is one of the most insane town builds I've ever seen! The level of detail with the pillars, the roof, the windows, just everything is amazing and beautiful. Well done on this simply fabulous build!

Review: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack
Fires-storm replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks so much for this nice review, I actually ended up picking up 3 of these the night Wal-mart had them in, and a golden staff guardian set as well! I must say that all the figures are beautiful, and even if you don't like the biplane or the obelisk they have tons of great parts that are very useful in other builds. All in all a great set that I'd recommend for anyone who loves Egyptian themes to grab -
REVIEW: 2260 Ice Dragon Attack
Fires-storm replied to Dunjohn's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I was a little surprised to see the price tag, as all of our stores over here have this for $19.99 that I've seen, but other then that, a cool set! I may have to pick this little beauty up, and thanks a ton for the review -
Thank you, the aircraft of the 30's are why I've fallen in love with that era as well! I'm glad that you like the Sparrow so much

MOC: Pedestrian Bridge Building with Ticket Office
Fires-storm replied to AussieJimbo's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I actually quite like this, the color scheme is good, the height of the building is just about perfect, and the gorilla made me fall out of my chair laughing while choking on my cereal Well done on this mate, and also from what I can tell your track layout is pretty sweet too! -
The Sparrow was invented by the Sky Pirates for good PR and recruitment, and as a result entered into the world circuit in the late 1930's. The Sparrow's maneuverability and speed have made it an excellent racer, even in the high altitude spiral cup, where participants are challenged to complete a 300 mile course through dizzying spins and loops touching each ring they pass at a minimum of 400 mph. Now for some stats: Speed: 430 mph Max Altitude: 25,000 ft. Engine: Mercedes RBI Mk5(custom made) Pilot: Raina Garland(the only one insane enough to actually get in the thing.) (note: full credit to John Lamarck for the cockpit window design ) Now on to pics! Front: Side: Rear view, it has working flaps!: Top side: And finally a bottom view, this one is nice for me as it shows it's working landing gear, as well as the flaps!: My main inspirations while building this were the Rocketeer, as well as looking at premier air races from the 30's. Also slight inspiration from the P-51 slipped in, although not much I hope you all enjoy the plane! (Note: please forgive the photography, I had to force my camera to work and rush through the photos. I hope it is still slightly enjoyable all the same )

-
Well it says in the forum description anything from Jules Verne to space, and since Dieselpunk is sci-fi I thought what the hey, plus it's something new for here Thanks for the compliments

The year is 1936, the Baron begins his advance across Europe, and begins to conquer enemy territories in blow after crushing blow. He began his reign of terror with his own people, coming to power in a night of blood and horror that had not been seen since the great war. Spain rapidly decided that this would not be allowed to stand, and secretly began construction on "Project Bull", a project made to produce the next super fighter to end this war once and for all. While not all their answers were very successful, this one stood out among the rest by far. Some stats: Speed: 450 MPH. Armament: 4 50 cal. machine guns, one death ray, nose mounted. Maximum Altitude: 25,000 ft. Crew: 1 Current Pilot: Francesca Gomez. On to the pics! first (of course) a front view: A side shot: A rear view: And finally a bird's eye: Forgive the quality of some pics, as I was trying to hurry while my camera was still working. I shall acquire that Nikon yet! one of the main influences for this plane was surprisingly a red and yellow vic viper I saw, combined with at the same time reading about a Russian fighter used in the Spanish civil war nick named "Little Mule" I hope you all enjoy her!
-
Thanks for both of your comments! I agree with you Flare that a little tiling on the wings would be a nice look for her, but as I had no more pieces I decided to just let the beauty be
-
I couldn't decide between which of the two forums this piece belonged in, so I hedged my bets Without further ado, the Blitz Nacht, literally translated as Lightning Night, was created as an effort on the part of the German and Russian combined mercenary corps, Night Fangs, as an attempt to stop the Baron. Pulling together some of the finest aeronautical minds in the industry, harvesting the power of death rays, and creating an offensive speed and strength combination the world had never before seen, this beauty entered the scene ready for battle, and to rain death on the Baron's forces wherever necessary. Stats: Speed: 470 MPH Maximum service altitude 25,000 ft. Capable of reaching service altitude in 10 minutes Armament: Two large death rays in the nose, electronically powered, two 20 mm cannons in the wings. Crew: 1 Pilot: Manfred Diechter And on to the pics! Front views first: A side shot, fairly menacing methinks: A rear shot, I love how the engines turned out! And finally the bird's eye, or the cat-looking-at-the-bird-from-a-tree's eye, whichever is higher at the time, view: Forgive the wood floor, I wanted to use something a bit different from white this time, and lacking a good editing software I found my hardwood floor made a pleasant change! Also, the inspiration for this fighter came from a combination of the Messerschmitt Bf-109, the F4U Corsair, and the British Mosquito fighter. Also, some features not shown here as I was just trying to make my camera work are that it's wings can fold up, and it has working flaps! I hope you all enjoy it!

Well done, this is simply beautiful! and I'm not just saying that because dark red is my favorite Lego color of all time

Blitz Nacht, the pride of German mercs
Fires-storm replied to Fires-storm's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well I was torn, because I saw a lot of military here, and a lot of good in the sci-fi, maybe I'll just post doubles if that's allowed
