LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Roebuck replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
We are not so lucky that we will get more than one regular a year I think -
Not very easy to get sets, but the bricktober sets has a rabbit and a hen in them as far as I can see A Castle civilian farmer fig with a couple of sheep would be fantastic if that finely came in CMF 22 and a fig with some pigeons please (my modular street in naked without them)

The reindeer battle-pack comes with 4 big animals and cost only 7 euro/dollars more, so I expect more then one horse now, with all the animals we have gotten this year as well I hope the train keeps rolling (do I even dare start hoping for an updated foal mould) -

Last CMF had only 4 figs that have not come in at least one set as well, and of those I think only Harry's parents are unlikely to show up in a set soon, so it would be no problem for Lego to fill 12 spots for a HP CMF. However I believe it comes down to sales and how it fit in with their other CMF plans. The first WW CMF sold like crazy, if the HP CMF 2 was even close to that I am sure we will get a HP(/WW) CMF 3 it is only a matter of time.. I hope they will make more FB sets/figs and I think we will get a few sets with the 3 movie, then it depends on how popular the movie is. If it is really a hit we can see more sets and a CMF inclusion later, if it on the other hand only do fine or even poorly the chances are slim. FB are more like other licenses e.g. Lone ranger and Prince of Persia that have excellent sets. but as long as the movie is not a big hit they will not sell a lot. Things like HP and SW are now more evergreen so they will sell a lot even if there is a mediocre film or not one at all, unlike in 2003
-
I found the source at least one of them, better late than newer SW or HP had not any new movies in 2003 or first half of 2004, so sales plummeted with more than 220 million dollars and Lego almost went out of business because of it. So it was both SW and HP combined I only remembered the HP part of it Source; The Toys That Made Us, Lego episode season 2

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My theory is that they update the animals when the mould is worn out, so they must make a new one anyway. Most likely it is cheaper to make the same one, but when it comes to animals it seems that they often come to the conclusion it is worth the extra cost to update the mould. From the top of my head the following are not updated among the older animals: foal (was only in two sets, will be updated when it makes a comeback one day however then we need a new farm subtheme or maybe a CMF to do it I think so it may take a while (maybe next years horse transport set if we are really lucky). Kitten, but we got a adult cat in return Frog, bat and scorpion, my guess is that they are so often used that they must have worn out the mould at least once by now and that the TLG decided against updating it when that happened. The old spider was fine, but I think the new one looks a lot better so they will probably be able to approve the other small animals as well. From those 4 I would say they would benefit from an update in the following order; spider (done), scorpion (more round shapes like the lobster), bat (more realistic) and frog (less eyes and more legs maybe ). I think the frog is fine as it is and prefer that they use the budget on other animals before the frog at least. The designers love to use it as well in all kinds of builds so that may be another reason why they have not updated it yet I really hope we get at least a couple of animals in series 22, a fig with a couple of sheep, maybe a foal (or calf, piglets etc) with one or the new juvenile crocogator with another. Some pigeons would be on high time as well, maybe we get surprised like last time -

The original came in green, dark green and dark grey (have also seen it in brown, but that version is only in Billund). The updated mould we have now come in dark green, green and tan. In this years Marvel CMF the first juvenile mould came (with slightly odd blue eyes) and there is a printed egg that can be anything, but in 60302 is a crocodile egg -
I have nothing against new brick costumes, but as you say keep them in BAM or sets like @williejm say. With only 12 figs now it is better they do not take a spot
-
Or maybe they retire 2 sets to make room for 2 new on the shelf and from now on we will get 2 new ones every year I wonder if I will be pleasantly surprised buy some owls in the sets

You never know with the high City budget, but that is more likely if we ever get a farm/stable subtheme again -

Nor do I, but you can try google translate Was not aware there was one -
One dog in the city police-station and one dog and one cat in the City fire-station rumoured for 2022, I assume they are familiar variants. There was a rumour about a horse transport earlier, but nothing so far about that now unfortunately Edit: The horse transport is still there just do not have much info about it yet

Lego City 2022 sets: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-city-2022-neuheiten/129421/ The rumoured set with the horses are not there unfortunately, but can surface later I guess 2 dogs and a cat, so not much for me it seems There is a bus so I guess one City fan in here is happy now Edit: the 60327 horse transport is still on the table, just not much info about it yet -
A great year for winter village fans if they get two sets then
-
Is this not it?!
-
This years winter village set has 4 (!!!!) x-mas deer in it Edit; Apparently it is not the winter village set, but an additional one, it still has 4 deer that is the most important anyway

What a year for animal moulds 4 in a set is really unexpected and I will buy the set just because of that even if I have a flock already
-
Ships, ships, ships! I have plenty of ships, would much rather have a fort or a fortified town, with soldiers and civilians
-
Some nice figs, great to see the pig is there as well
-
If that turns out to be right, I am worried the B-bay did not sell as much as I thought and in turn lower our chances to get a follow up set or even a normal pirate wave
-
If the kids did not buy/get as gifts 8 out of 10 HP sets we would most likely not be sitting here having this conversation
-
I made some assumptions in what I wrote because I do not remember the details like the year it happened, but it is a fact that the HP line sold very poorly one of the first years (I do not remember the source, but it was from an interview with a Lego employee talking about the time Lego almost went bankrupt). Some more assumptions: It could have been the second wave as well, if they expected it to sell a lot in 2003 and the sales dried up as the movie hype from 2002 settled down, then instead of a full wave only released 2 sets that year. For 2004 they had already designed the sets before they where aware of the bad sales and most likely had a contract with the license holder so no other choice then to release a full wave. After that they did not take any chances with the license for a few years This darkness business is just and excuse in my mind to why they did not give us DH sets this year Back in the day they made as you say the: and in 2011 made 4865 The Forbidden Forest set where basically Harry is killed
