LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You must get up earlier in the morning If you are first in the shop the scanning works perfectly, if you live in a area with a lot of competition it is harder. It probably have been harder with the scanning since people without the talent, time and inclination to feel the bags before can very easy scan them now. If more shops do like some stores and only sell one per customer or Lego start selling them identified online it would be better. Some of you probably have collected Panini stickers, you can buy all the random packs you want, but you could also order the ones you are missing from the online shop, so something similar to that would be best. Probably not and I am sure Lego have tested them.. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Lego must have made an error and put an extra 0 at the end of how many of series 5 they should produce, the marked was drowned in them for a long. I am glad I mostly bought dwarfs from the huge pallet of them the local store had I think the problem was that the earlier series had lower budget than the newer ones (if they had fewer new moulds?) or maybe they needed to start one place and make moulds that later series also could use (a lot of moulds are used in more than one series so the other times they do not need to use any budget on them)? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes that was definitely the most boring fig in that series so no wonder they had little interest in it I bought 500+ on sale from that series and just finished selling them 1-2 weeks (so took 6-7 years) ago and the last buyer asked men why I was selling them so cheap With the exception of maybe 1-2 popular figs from each series CMF are hard to sell is my impression. Scanning will save me a lot of money, time and effort selling the figs I do not want from boxes As i said earlier all Lego stores should do that -
I do not think Lego care much about comments online for that. However you have a point with what actually people do, if a lot of people go out and buy the set at full retail price that might affect things. At least it seems like some sets that have not been so popular are on sale on Lego a short time after its release and that is not normal. Not impossible that it goes the other way as well however some sets may be bestsellers because they are reasonably priced compared to others so a price increase might backfire

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Roebuck replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
And Canada. Most other places we only have Standard now (previously Bestseller) after the original Standard moved to Bestseller However still missing some parts like juvenile gorilla that have not made the move yet.. https://www.newelementary.com/2025/03/pick-brick-usa-canada-standard-elements.html -
I agree, there are more adult fans today so there are probably more of them buying the LOTR sets as well. However the first waves was aimed at kids and then they must compete with Ninjago, City etc and they failed. 1 big D2C set aimed at adults can sell a lot less then a small set on shelf's in every store and still be a huge success. I do not think a normal wave of LOTR sets would do any better today with kids so that is probably why Lego only make big sets for adults. Since there are coming 2 this year they are probably doing well It is a god point that they could probably use close enough moulds in production today for a lot of the parts, it seems that Lego where willing to use more on minifigs back then anyway. However 4 moulds is probably still too much
-
Something like this you mean; No way they could bring back all these retired moulds for this set, just look at how long it took to bring back just the goat: After 5 years out of production, most moulds are destroyed if they want the part after that they must make a new mould..
-
If could be a set with 2 friends fishing in a boat, hopefully with a big fish and just the ring on the bottom of the river, nothing dark about that Seems strange that they will use the set budget in this set for a part like that, my guess is that it is made for another theme like Wednesday, HP etc and they just borrowed it (that is not uncommon)
-
Everything is getting more expensive and Lego has always been expensive however 10-15 years ago they made maybe 5 sets aimed at adults every year now it is crazy amounts of huge sets. The more they make the more picky I become since it is not feasible to buy everything anyway. Personally I do not think they have any problems with sales, I think they increase their sales area (especially in Asia) and make more different products so they get more different customers. The rest of the toy industry are in decline, but Lego still increase. I never buy sets day 1, I wait for a discount and 270$ is to much for this set so I will wait and see if I end up buying it

I always thought it was mother and daughter, but I could be wrong The GWP should include a big fish right? Glad to see the horse return to LOTR
-
LOTR comes with a horse at last, after all it was the theme that made it 12 year ago Looks like it is the orange one (+ a small blue bird) in the set.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

One of several castle sets this year that is not Castle: https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/first-look-at-lego-43263-beauty-and-the-beast-castle/ At least we get a new feather color now -
No a easy task and a lot of the bigger animals in Africa, in addition to moose etc are to big so.. I know a few so will start with that and edit my post when I decide the rest Roebuck (been on the top of my list for many years now) Wood pigeon (also on the list for many years) Hooded crow (also on the list for many years) Red fox (already got the minidoll variant) Juvenile goat (GOAT, enuff said) Rooster (tempting to put chickens on the list, but with only 12 left..) Kangaroo (a very well known animal that is missing) Beaver (already got the minidoll variant) Thomson's gazelle (or similar should be small enough to include) Goose (lot of possibility for recolours) Duck (lot of possibility for recolours) Juvenile roedeer (I only put 2 on the list) Edit, I managed to fill the list on the first try after all

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That is a good point, personally I hope they will win the vote, regardless Lego are definitely aware of their popularity so we will see. A future set with a Raven knight with a horse that has the bearding would be fantastic I think he meant the Raven knight and not the raven mould, but the point is still somewhat valid. However if they reuse a CMF fig they usually release only parts of it in sets so some parts of it is still stay exclusive I agree, that's why I said "the new raven mould" not "a new raven mould". Not a native English speaker so might have grammar wrong Anyway I meant a recolor of the Dreamzzz one Yes that fraction must really have hit some hard times, I assume they have eaten or sold of the pride of the land so they must relay on bricks instead, maybe the set comes with coconuts -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I assume the budget is higher for figs in the Ideas set since the figs are the main focus in the set, Creator always have a low budget so a new knight there might have a new torso and noting else. Hopefully the runner up feature in a new CMF, a Raven knight with the new raven mould would be perfect. Me too It is just a guess since the sales numbers are never official, however it did loose 2 years of it's planed shelf life so most like it sold below expectations. Hopefully Lego understand that this is due to the lack of animals, few minifigs and printed parts and not a lack of interest in Castle and especially civilian sets Me too, but it will retire this year so do not wait to long -

Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
They are not in short supply on PAB, but I would argue they are in short supply in Castle and other sets, but: Same here. Probably the most likely, but we will see. When do we expect the Ideas set, should be before August then 🤔 A new Disney Castle leaked, not sure if that has anything useful 🙈 -

It seems that the next Lego house set is Fabuland themed I wonder how it would look, even if there is still a lot of Fabuland parts around, none of the figs are Is it possible to reprint some of the Animal Crossing ones? https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/next-lego-house-exclusive-set-teases-a-fabuland-connection/ https://www.newelementary.com/2025/02/lego-house-new-for-2025-lego-fabuland.html

Why do you keep using Paypal if you know it most likely is going to be a problem? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I was talking about Lego selling known individual figures online, anyone else including Lego stores could just sell as normal. A lot of people would just buy the figs they want online instead of hunting them in shops and it would not be much point for scalpers clearing out stock since most of their potential customer would just buy them for retail price. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For those prices Lego demand I an not willing to blind buy so then I would stop, buy a box or buy them from resellers There could be a limit of say 10 of each fig per order online, Lego manage to mostly meat demand for sets (there have been issues in the past like in the pandemic) so they could just make more figs if they wanted. Yes resellers would still buy them, but scalpers probably would not (if I have understood the difference right). -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Did you ask if they had a unopened box in stock, maybe they could have found 1 for you there I wonder how many wolf-pack figs they could have sold if they let people buy the ones they wanted online. People that want a army of them are most likely not buying random figs in shops anyway so the overall sale there would not be much affected, maybe even scalpers would stop buying them in shops so kids could get them (if they wanted them). -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Roebuck replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I do not think so, probably just a speculation. My guess based on comments, popularity etc: Raven or Kraken Raven or Kraken Griffin Bull Kraken probably have the most loud supporters, however Raven are one of the more popular and expensive fractions so hopefully a lot of not so vocal people have voted for that -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes I think a female is most likely, however the classic fraction is called forestmen so just wrote that The raven would be great to get That is possible, but we have gotten several dragons and CMF Basil lately. So would be better with the return of the black knights for me, however not sure what animal that fit them beside a dragon as well..
