I gave up on TRU a long time ago, not worth the frustration and effort to deal with them for the odd exclusive. There is much easier, better service from overseas dealers in my opinion. Glad it worked out for you in the end, I wouldn't of been happy with a Voucher myself, but at least you got something from them without having to take it further.

Does anyone know how I can get hold of a couple of the Lego Banners you see hanging up in the shops? Maybe someone has a connection where they can score me a couple for a price?

Looking back at the dates of shipping, they were actually shipped on the same day, so paying more means slower postage. Shocker!

Yes I received my second set today, sent exactly 2 days after the first one, arrived exactly 2 days after the first order, only problem is I paid extra for faster shipping. Good luck getting a refund though!! Ha.

Yes with the 30% voucher & I received the cancellation email. The box had a slight tear on one of the corners & was slightly creased there too, but the rest was in great condition. It was put in a larger box with some bubble pillow things, that did nothing really.

Funny you should all ask about the Mindstorms sets, I have just received mine today. Finally. What a relief!! Mine was apparently sent on the 1st of June, regular post. I do know that a friend of mind ordered one with the quicker postage, it was sent 2 days later & has not arrived, so that was a waste of extra postage cost.

Wow, I have never had anything held up that long. How do you know when it arrives at Customs, or how long it has been there? What date did your Mindstorms set get sent from B&N?

You have more patience than me. Mine was supposed to arrive in the country no later than today, going through customs and getting posted via Australia post shouldn't take any more than 4 - 5 days, less in my opinion. I contacted their customer service on Saturday, they had to get their warehouse to check it didn't come back & would email within 48 Business hours. Thats rediculous! Anyway, that should have been by now & still no answer. I should add that other items ordered from overseas obviously have to go through customs & I can often have them here within a week, no more than 2, so Customs doesn't hold things up long.

So has anyone received their Mindstorms Set from B&N with the 30% discount? I still can't get a straight answer from their customer service, nor have I received a refund.

I'm not a huge space fan these days, but as a kid these fascinated me. I think I had most of the M-Tron sets, plenty of the Blacktron ones. Space Police of a similar era were great as well as my favourite, Ice Planet 2002! Great review, thanks for bringing back some of those feelings of playing with these sets as a kid...

What shipping option did you choose? Did they say they send your King's Castle at a later date? I ordered once before from them & it took a few weeks, but packaging was excellent. I can't remember if it came within the suggested timeframe or not, 2 weeks sounds good.

Might be worth a call to their customer service. I had the same email, so I called. The guy I spoke to said it has definitely been sent, so I will still get it. He wouldn't answer me though when I said will you call the parcel back? I'm hopeful it was just a general email sent to everyone who ordered the set with the 30% discount & since it's been sent, they won't be able to actually cancel it. It would be interesting to see if other people get the same answer from customer service or something else.

Sounds great, I'll be doing my best to get down there, I think maybe a work trip to Canberra is due about that time What is the deal with exhibitors, is it just showing off MOCS etc or is there some who have a sales table set up, for exclusives & hard to find set etc?

I find it interesting that you ask for free shipping and get a great response. I'm sorry if this is slightly off topic, but how many people ask for free shipping or discounts on Bricklink & actually receive it? especially on international orders. I have on occasions asked for a discount if I'm ordering hundreds or thousands of a particular part, but have never received one.

Are you aware now, after the news of a decline of 1.2% to our economy? Don't believe the excuse of the floods & other disasters, there is many reasons, one major one being the fact people are spending their money overseas, supporting foreign jobs & not Australian. The short term gain may be pleasant, but the long term gain surely won't be. I hope you all have recession proof jobs.

Thanks for making us aware of that! I havn't bought much LEGO this year actually, last year it would have been a number of thousands. Can't see myself buying any of the current available sets in stores either.

Australia's price is AU$269.99. On Current exchange rate that puts us at almost double the US Pricing. I think Australia is fast becoming the most expensive country in the world for.... everything.

I've seen both the Cafe Corner & Market Street fetch near on AU$1000 & the Star Wars Millenium Falcon AU$1500. That to me is insane, although I do collect MISB sets & would love atleast the Cafe Corner. I don't collect the MISB sets necessarily to make money at a later date, I actually find more pleasure looking at a MISB set & even just thinking about having them. I usually buy sets thinking I will use them, but then can't bring myself to building them, or change plans on where I was going with my Lego Town & no longer want to build it. I certainly enjoyed building all the Lego Sets I have, however I sometimes feel a bit bummed afterwards when I know it is no longer MISB.

Hey guys, I'm wanting to buy a few of these set from the US & have my friend who lives near a LEGO store send them to Australia. I need to find out how many are in a master carton (I'm guessing between 2 - 4) and the dimensions & weight of the master carton. My friend knows nothing about LEGO, so want to make it as simple as putting a postage sticker on a box and taking it to the Post Office, plus I want to know what I'm up for postage wise. If anyone knows the answers to this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
