  1. Awesome, thanks for the Hi Res photos Grogall
  2. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Huge-Lego-Mural-Flinders-Street-Station-Melbourne-/290613866495?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item43a9efafff#ht_862wt_1139 So, now which one is the Legitimate one?? I knew something was up. Edit: Nevermind, it appears as though the other one was cancelled and re listed under this account.
  3. I wouldn't be so sure about them making a loss on this. They may not be making much money, however I would suggest that LEGO offered them an extremely low price for a large quantity, perhaps because its a slow moving line, or LEGO gave them some rebates if they've not sold well. I'd say that when there are these Clearance sales, much the same as the Toy Story Clearances last year, LEGO would give the retailer Rebates, otherwise known as Price Protection, to help clear out the stock. Otherwise these items would continue sitting on the shelf for months and years to come and I'm sure LEGO don't want that.
  4. I'd build a spare wall big enough for it! haha. The guy is who they say he is, however the photo does look like someone took a happy snap of him standing in front of the mural. It is pick up, so I suppose there is nothing stopping anyone bidding and attempting to pay cash when they pick it up, they could really have done a better job of the Listing Though!
  5. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Amazing-170-000-piece-Lego-sculpture-Flinders-St-Charity-Auction-/280743366794?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item415d9bd08a#ht_500wt_1156 Can anyone confirm this is Legit? Would be an awesome artwork in anyone's living room. Just find it hard to believe it would be legit with such a basic description & One photograph of the item in the distance.
  6. You have a great collection & if you were in Sydney Australia, I would be exremely tempted to take everything you have on offer. Unfortunately you don't appear to have any Shell Sets, which I would possibly be interested in. If you do have anything like that, or if you are interested in selling your Green Grocer, send me a PM. Guf
  7. People walking in through to shop to look for Clearance Specials are more likely to pick something else up while they are there. Batteries, a block of chocolate, anything really. If you buy online from Big W, are you likely to order a block of chocolate with it? I also presume the clearance lines aren't necessarily stocked in the warehouse where the online sales come from. Saying that, they do sometimes put nationwide specials on their website.
  8. I'll take the Cafe Corner! The last Modular Building I need to finish my collection. PM Sent!
  9. You have one of those yellow LEGO banners! How did you score that, I've been trying so hard to get hold of one. (Sorry it's a bit off topic)
  10. As disappointing as more Police sets are to me, I'm glad they've atleast gone with a different type of Police Theme. I Love the 4WD with the quad bike & the Helicopter & Bear in the Police Station Set. As for the other sets, I love most of them but don't quite get what the orange truck is supposed to be, or rather what the point of it is. I Love the Ambulance design & the Recycle Truck. The Car with the Campervan is also interesting, not as exciting as I would have hoped, but not terrible. Is that a new piece for the car's roof? Oh & I love the red Wheelbarrow.... Is that a new wheel guard in some of the sets too? It appears to be shorter! & am I seeing things, or is that a new Trans Headlight piece on the Police 4WD coming out of the Police Station?
  11. I'm sorry if this has been mentioned previously, as I really can't remember seeing it. The new Kingdoms sets have arrived at K-Mart. All at RRP I believe, so not really a sale Post I'm afraid.
  12. 20% off LEGO at Myer for this Saturday only.
  13. Come on mate, please stay on topic as has been requested by the Mod's. They might not take to kindly to the excessive question marks either. We all love this thread & don't want to see it closed because it continues to go off topic. To make this post somewhat worthwhile, I popped into my local Big W & also found there to be no clearance on the King's Castle. But an idea I am yet to try is to take in a copy of the discounted docket to a competitor to try & price match. Might be worth trying yourselves if you get a chance?
  14. Really the best way to find out what something is worth, is by checking the "price guide info" in Bricklink, or do an eBay search for completed listings & see what people have been paying for them. You are the best person to know exactly what condition the sets are in & where they should fit in with all the rest of what's available out there. I hope that helps.
  15. Unfortunately I doubt eBay will do anything about this unless the owners of the images actually file a report. Then there could be a problem for the seller. If they don't get onto it quick enough, the guy will make stacks more sales as they seem to be extremely popular. Really sad when someone has to steal another person's talent to make money.
  16. Nice little car, I have a 1970 MGB & have wanted to make it in red, however the piece you have used for the rear of this car is not available in red. I can see it would also be difficult to use & still have the front grill etc. I do however think it would give a better shape to the car, more appropriate as it is pretty flat from front to rear.
  17. I think you will be lucky to see Series 5 before September, I have heard it is atleast a few weeks away yet. I believe Late September.
  18. This set was no doubt my Favourite Lego Set of all time. I had it as a kid & remember the frustration of having my Dad making a mistake with the coloured tiles, so one of my Shell Signs had a grey tile, not white. I have since bought another set & it takes pride in my Lego "Guftown" Town. Thanks for the fantastic review!
  19. Hey guys, I have received my series 5 minifigures. They have a dot code, but 3 of the figures are extremely difficult to tell apart. For those who will be collecting in store, your best bet for a full set, is to go for the first 2 rows, you will find a full set in there. The first row has 12 different figs, so go for that one if you want a good variety. You will find multiples of the Zoo Keeper & Guard in the first row. Now, for anyone who has bought a box, I am desperate for a Boxer in a Sealed Bag. This is one of the near impossible ones to tell apart by the dot code, I tried the feel technique as well & failed miserably. So I now have a whole set sealed, but no sealed Boxer - The only Fig from all 5 Series' I don't have in a sealed bag. I am willing to trade with anyone, or buy it from anyone who can guarantee it is correctly identified in a sealed bag. The only real way to do this is to open the other packs to be sure. They dots are the same as the Zoo Keeper, so if you can find and open 5 zoo keepers, then you are just about guaranteed you can find the boxer. Hopefully someone can help! Cheers Edit: You will find the boxer is most likely 5th, 6th or 7th in the box in the first (left) row. So if you are opening a full box, starting from the last row will ensure you find all the Zoo Keepers before you find all the Boxers, if you go the other way, you will find all the Boxer's before finding the Zoo Keepers...
  20. Hey, I'm looking to get a hold of some LEGO Shop Display Banners, the ones you often see hanging from a shop ceiling. I particularly want the bright yellow one with the LEGO logo but I am open to others on offer. I'm happy to pay for shipping from anywhere around the world to Australia for the right item/s. The more available the better. I have checked out eBay & haven't seen the Yellow ones for a long time & stupidly forgot to bid on the last one I saw a few months ago. Please let me know if you have any available & what you want for it/them. Thanks Guf
  21. And free postage from WA, which would only cost about $30 - $40 to send over to Sydney or Melbourne via regular parcel post. I can't believe people are willing to throw their money away like that.
  22. I would, so far the guy has scammed near on $50,000 just on completed sales, sold 200 of these sets and 200 Nook readers @ $80 each. Goes to show eBay are slow to react to scams, I'm sure there were plenty of people who reported the sale.
  23. Well spotted, it took me a minute to work out what he was doing, I knew it was cheap but he has great feedback. Although all the feedback is from supercheap with free delivery items, cheap stuff like memory card readers, all done within a few months. There is an aweful lot of people who are going to be disappointed & angry soon, especially the person who bought 11 of these.
  24. It's been an interesting few days, I put an order in from BN & I believe they only charge PayPal once they have shipped the item. So since ordering, I am likely to have to pay another $5 - $10 Saying that, I wouldn't be too trigger happy with ordering right now, because if it is the USA & other countries that are in financial strife, surely that will mean our dollar should become stronger. It's just at the moment with all the uncertainty that we seem to take a hit. I don't fully understand it however.
  25. Is this the first set with the Black Lamp Post part? I can't recall ever seeing it before..
