  1. I especially like the island counter in the kitchen.
  2. Are we allowed to cut flex hoses to make them shorter? I'm only asking because the rules say no modifying parts, but some official sets have you cut hoses. I'm using them for axles.
  3. Shouldn't the whole engine be longer?
  4. Ballasting raises the track by a two or three plates. So while you don't have to make it look perfect you'd need to at least lay some plates under all your track. But you are correct that you don't have to make everything look super nice at the same time.
  5. Great shape and colors.
  6. I didn't initially think that was the logo, maybe an action scene or a view of the inside of the containement facility. Regardless, its great. And remember, don't cross the streams.
  7. Both the ferry and terminal have a great shape. I'd like to see some interior photos of the parking garage area as well.
  8. I like the upside-down grey curved slopes at the base of the second floor, under the bay windows.
  9. Looks great. I'm using similar stonework on my first floor, just not as extensive. If this is any indication of the quality of MOCs this contest will be fantastic and very hard to judge.
  10. Where in that definition does it say prostitute? There are many non-sexual escorts in the world.
  11. Regardless, I think Lego needs to evaluate the MOCs at 5000 votes to decide if they will produce a set. Its very dishartening to be enthusiastic about something hitting 10k only to have it cancelled.
  12. They still cost you something.
  13. Well so it does.
  14. How does it do on carpet, both shag and oriental rugs?
  15. I think I know the answer already, but can we make brick-built doors and windows? I know things like skylights can be brick-built, but what about the regular facade windows and doors? Do they need to be lego pieces so our entries match the offical sets better? I was going to be sneaky and pm this question, but I figured everyone should know. I have to say that I'm quite enjoying this contest.
  16. I don't understand the fuss over the colored bricks. They're hidden so they don't bother me.
  17. What a great review. Would someone who is about to build this set show us the modified third-leg mechanism which allows R2 to lean back further?
  18. What a great little cafe.
  19. Arwen will be in the Rivendell set I know we'll get.
  20. My fiancé was very disappointed none of the female characters are available in sets. While I understand that none of the scenes depicted have them, Helms Deep could have featured Éowyn.
  21. *cough* Gold C3P0 *cough*
  22. Mine will have a large interior vertical space. Does each floor have to be removable, or can I have a removable wall which will show the interior?
  23. As I've started building at this scale, which is smaller than Miniland scale, I too would like to see them moved out of Technic. I suppose Special is the most appropriate as well. The funny thing is that the Modular buildings aren't really minifig scale. The interiors are, but the height is all wrong. Heck, even the lego doors are too tall.
  24. I'm not sure how I can tell the number of bricks in mine, I'm not designing it in LDD. As long as you don't have a behemoth like that modular hospital or a Grand Emporium with ten floors you should be fine.
  25. In regards the EVE ship, the owners of the game put it on the login screen for a while so it was easy for 10k fans of the game to see the project and support it quickly.
