Yeah in most cases the deck would have been tarred at one point o both provide waterproofing and grip in rough seas.

I take it you are wondeirng is i have penis envy LOL no i don't i just want to do something that has never been done before and as far as i have seen no one has made a 4 master and the HMCS Starwind is still underway she has just been scrapped and revamped now to go from a 12 gun ship to a 24 gun ship and the some of the parts are on the way. The HMCS Andromeda however is just a concept ship.

See here's the thing i've noticed in designing my ships lately in ML Cad and that is we are all too used to making comfy ships, now i'll tell you why things like our guns decks and the lower decks of these ships we are designing we are making them too high they are supposed to be very short decks if you see any movies or documentaries when somebody goes down on to the gun deck they are bend over like a wet noodle or on there knees so that is what i am implementing on my ships where the deck is just high enough to clear the gun and it seems to be working and allowing me to give the ship still a pleasant shape. phew having said that i always liked the corinthian even if she were boxy.

Well cow polks here is my thoughts the cannons are soooooooooo expensive to buy and the base of the cannons arent they are pretty cheap like 50 cent a pop so this was my solution to the cannon expensive problem. Well after careful consideration and realizing guns are too expensive and going with home made guns the HMCS starwind has been scrapped BUT only her top decks i am currently in the process of redesigning her and should have a completed product soon. ARRGH YES BASTARDS and yer cool ships lol it's kool actually you guys pushed me to push the envelope of my mind, thanks.

Yeah i know about the masts i was thinking about that last night but the logistics of where all the rigging would attach became a nightmare. Why white? I dunno cause i like the fact of being the good guys and beign able to blwo the S*** out of anything that comes along plus like ive said before in the lego universe the good guys got dealt a raw deal with their ships granted they were fast and more manuverable but they were out manned, and out gunned the only thing they had left was gile.

What i think he should have done and btw i love the sterncastle as that is the part of the ship i usually have troubles with. now where was i oh yes i think due to the nature of yachts you should have built the hull out of bricks to give it that angular cutting through the water like a knife that yacht and sailing ships bows are famous for because the lego huls are just too wide at the front and made for plowing through the water as opposed to slicing. BUT i still liked the fact you designed a ship without cannons because not every ship needs cannons. Plus if the ship were designed just right with the right type of sails it wouldn't need cannons as it could haul megablocks faster than anything pursuing it and to demonstrate this point i present a feat of canadian engineering which remained the fastest sailing ship on the sea for 20 years some call her the Bluenose II i just call her SCHEXAY http://www.greatexcursions.com/blogs/repor...99_M-703879.jpg

I lied after posting that one I found a 4 master described as THE WORLDS LARGEST SAILING SHIP http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/conten...?recordid=43702 check it out. Yeah according to my calculations and the latest BL prices its gonna cost about 26.40 USD to outfit the starwind with her guns having said that......she may only get one or two guns at a time hehehe. The starwind is being based off of what lies in my head for to my knowledge there hasn't been any 4 master ship ever made either well not in the sense or way that i am making it with full sails on all four main masts. I just want to make a new monster hehehe. 4 masted ship see the point of the ship was to balance out the lego universe cause the pirates had all the big ships and the imperial guards had tiny more manuverable ships but no frigs or even dreds which i find to be an over sight IMO. Due to somewhat of a miscalculation on my part and error in part loading on ML Cad's part i had to revamp the starwind design although im sure at first glance no one will know the difference.....but the masts here raised onto platforms and the railaings near the sterncastle were extended shortening the run off of the stern castle slightly but for the best i think. with the addition of the plates to hold the masts up it is forseeable that i might mount cannons on the deck of the ship but i am not sure what do you guys think? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/toyotawo...s/starwind7.jpg
