Hey! I remade the knot some times and now it kinda works :) She's happy again
-
No, it's definitely not the knot of the anchor getting stuck in the hole. Maybe it's something with the winch? Maybe the knot of the winch is too loose or whatever (but I've already tightened it). I've got no clue. Wait... there's one thin string included and three stiff ones. Maybe the thin one was actually intended to be used with the anchor and the crane should be built with a stiff one? No... don't think so. Thanks for your reply anyway, Big Cam. Mmh...

Hi, Yesterday I received my re-release of the Black Seas Barracuda and assembled it in the evening, but the anchor doesn't really work well for me. I can only raise it, but when I want to lower it, the anchor stays in its position (or sometimes moves half a centimetre) and there's more and more string in the room between the winch and the anchor. Then I can take the anchor with my hand and lower it manually. Because everywhere it says that the anchor works well and you can raise AND lower it, I thought that I maybe made a mistake with building the anchor-winch system. So, are those problems just normal or did I make a mistake? If yes, I did a mistake, what do I have to keep in mind to set it up properly? Greetings, funkybrick EDIT: problem solved... spent some time making new knots

Outstanding creation! The curved corners and the color scheme are just great! As good as it gets!
-
So do I! Absolutely right! Thanks again!

Would be great! I think that it's not really likely to happen, though...

Awesome pictures! Thanks for doing this! And a nice fleet you got there! :D

Great review! And great set! I'll probably get myself a copy it if I witness a good deal sometime -
Mmh... let's see how it looks in plastic :D I must admit that I can imagine it to be quite cool in plastic Thanks!

Meh, it's too detailed for mefor some reasons: 1. The surface isn't smooth, but there are (overdetailed ) ornaments. 2. Generally, there are too many details... the detailed BA weapons doesn't fit to the less detailed LEGOish body very well... and by the way, Rick, you cannot compare the weapon you linked with the BA prototype:this rifle is the actual equivalent. 3. LEGO figs aren't tin soldiers! Metal isn't very adequate I think... What do you think?

Honestly, I can't understand why everybody goes for a more and more realistic look. Lego isn't meant to look that realistic! Its style is simplified, innovative and original - and that's how it should be! Lego is supposed to look nice... not real! Minifigs - they don't look look like real humans, do they? So why should their weapons be that realistic? Just my opinion. funkybrick

Preference of Imperial Guard Epaulette colour

I like blue the most... TLG did give the redcoat soldiers blue eps for a reason, didn't they? -
New (10040) and old (6285) Black Seas Barracuda
funkybrick replied to funkybrick's topic in LEGO Pirates
Okay, thanks for your answers guys :) -
Hi, I just wondered if the colours of the sails were different? Is the red of the new 10040 BSB darker than the red of the older one? Regards, funkybrick

Yeah, I noticed it today myself that the wrong mode was switched on. But I did my best and I think there are some good photos in my review.

Wow 2 MISB ones! Mine is the first and only 6277 I possess. I myself started to collect the whole Imperial Guards line in MISB condition... I open them, but treat them extremely well so that they are still in new condition in 10 years :D
-
It felt... amazing That should answer the question about how it felt to open it
-
Still... there are better deals! THIS ONE for example is not bad! Hope that helped
-
I don't know what the condition of the set is like but 163$ without the box is a not very good deal, I think. Btw there's one for 200$ on bricklink with box... that's not bad!

Nice review of a nice set. Good work!

You can definitely iron sails or other lego canvas, but I've got no idea whether you can wash them or not!
-
Yeah, it is indeed mine! :D I see that you are watching the market^^ @bengun: which pictures didn't load for you? Is anyone else here experiencing the same problem? And thank you for the great feedback, guys
