Looks absolutely great! Congratulations! funkybrick

Honestly, who cares? Anyway, "Colour of time" is way to go, isn't it? :D Seriously though, I think (as our dear, wrong friend Svelte has already mentioned above) that we should simply go with the BrickLink and peeron names. Other names would just cause confusion to BrickLink/peeron users. @CallMePie: Your suggestions made me laugh. You cut right to the chase of this thread's importance! :D funkybrick

Tahu (original one) of course! :D I'm not really into Bionicle, but he's a classic! Btw I got one MISB recently, which I am going to preserve in its sealed condition. It's a great toy!

I'd also like being whacked! :D Just use the fig shown in my avatar!

You got an Eldorado Fortress MISB for 80 euros?? And a Rock Island Refuge MISB for 113 euros??? What were the conditions of the boxes like? Wow... you are one lucky guy!

Hi, (I'm sorry if such a thread already exists, but I didn't find one with the search engine.) So, what's your favourite building of the exclusive modular series and why? 10182 Café Corner OR 10190 Market Street OR 10185 Green Grocer OR 10197 Fire Brigade OR 10211 Grand Emporium Tell me your opinions! Let's discuss! I, for myself, really like all of them very much, but I think that my favourites are the Green Grocer (which I ordered yesterday as to finally enter the modular terrains) and the new Grand Emporium. The Fire Brigade's got a sweet interior, though! Anyway, I like the overall looks and the great amounts of details! Cheers, funkybrick

Looks very good! But what tyres did you use? I don't know them, but they would be very useful for my Ford Mustang project! Cheers, funkybrick

BSB and Skull Island with shooting or non shooting cannons?
funkybrick replied to Ivan K.'s topic in LEGO Pirates
Well, then. If you are really going to shoot the cannons then swap! But keep the originals safe in the box! If you are not going to shoot them more than once or twice or never then don't swap. @General Armendariz: I know it's from 2002. Nevertheless, it's still a retired (and pricey) classic Pirates set! Cheers, funkybrick -
BSB and Skull Island with shooting or non shooting cannons?
funkybrick replied to Ivan K.'s topic in LEGO Pirates
I'd stay with the original non-shooting cannons! I'm kind of a pirates (especially redcoats) collector and I have some non-shooting cannons from MISB sets. I would recommend you: don't swap the cannons. I assume you are not actually going to shoot them and the non-shooting cannons look at least as good as their shooting companions. (I like the crossed emblem) AND the non-shooting ones are the ORIGINAL ones. Why buy an expensive MISB set and then swap UNORIGINAL parts that are not even in a better condition (if not in a worse one) for ORIGINAL parts which are in absolutely MINT condition! It's just that I think if you buy an around 20-years-old (and mostly actually way overpriced) MISB set, you shouldn't mix the parts of it with other parts you possess. I would also highly recommend keeping the box as well as the extra parts. Me, for example. I'd nearly panic if I'd lose one single cutlass of my MISB-bought (but opened) 6277 Imperial Trading Post. Why? Because I want to have all the original parts with my MISB (but opened) sets. I know, "it's just a cutlass", you may think. But: where could I get another such cutlass? Where could I get another definitely-produced-in-1992-to-1995 cutlass? And where could I get another definitely-produced-in-1992-to-1995 cutlass in absolutely mint condition? Just my opinion about the appropriate treatment of MISBs. And I really think the non-shooting cannons look good! Cheers, funkybrick -
Well, it's quite nice but it's definitely not a replacement for a real torch! ;D It lights up if you press down its head and the light lasts as long as the head is pressed down. Cheers, funkybrick

Thanks very much for sharing, CopMike! The spaceman looks great! Glad to hear that they are not made from the notorious "cheap Chinese plastic"! Cheers, funkybrick

Well, in Austria it's still there, but thanks for sharing your witness! It's slowly getting time for me to get myself a copy of it before it vanishes... Yours, funkybrick
