  1. It would definitely be a great success for LEGO if your predictions go true. As for this being a success for resellers as well that's exactly how collectibles work in general. I doubt so many people will monopolize whole boxes. A whole box of 60 fix costs 120 bucks and there are much better LEGO things an AFOL can get for that price.
  2. seems related to the cache of whatever desktop gadget/OS you are using.
  3. As skeletal as Jetrax was (I personally think it looked cooler than drop ship) It still had more pieces, a more interesting build and an actual function ... Even Rockoh had those things and it costed 10 bucks less than drop ship, whose only function seems to be a rope and a pulley... Yes, that's non-sense , the whole line - with the exception of the heroes which are just as overpriced as 2009 agori - is priced a lot worse than 2009. Systemically everything from 'canisters' to vehicles and also including titans keeps the same prices as last year but with much fewer pieces and less ... value? I mean, the sets are definitely shorter, and due to more simplified pieces are less useful for MoCs and construction is quicker.
  4. Those silly
  5. It might be environment dependent but every white single sticker applied on a non-white piece is doomed to end up looking pretty bad thanks to the white borders which appear after some time, eventually they get so ugly I have to remove them. Oh and the transparent ones, it will be lucky if they don't just lose contact a year after. They are such a contradiction to the usability I am used to with LEGO. Once you remove a sticker, it is not going to be the same. You might try to preserve it but the second time you try it, it will look worse than the first time, this is another place in which the borders ruin everything. Ben 10 parts being used so freely is just a sympthon of a trend there is with the sets. We probably don't lose much aesthetics with the simplified parts, but a lot is lost. Bionicle had always had poor buildability but it seems LEGO every year pushes for more and more reductions of this aspect. and now they invented the "constraction" thing. I think they might as well eventually start shipping these things pre-built. You could argue that for 8 bucks "impulse" sets it would be good for kids. But to do that even with titans to the point that HF's titans are midgets with far less pieces than past titans, it is too much... Even drop ship is pretty bad when compared with Jetrax...
  6. Must really sort. Tear down stuff as well because there could be clone bricks inside the built up things, get rid of non-lego and place clone bricks in another bunch. You might actually like the clone bricks but they cost less none-theless. Right now I think 40 USD was way too much, but perhaps there are good things hidden inside that box, seriously, sort.
  7. It could be a lighting artifact.
  8. Well, it is not that hard to remove the printing on printed pieces, but it is way too easy for stickers to go bonkers. I am really afraid of what will happen to Tuma, he is eventually going to lose 50% of his personality :( I don't really think putting stickers is really a great building experience... Anyway HF is starting to give me a roboriders feeling. Let me explain it to you. Slizers were awesome in every conceivable way. But TLG decided to cancel them and make roboriders instead. At first it looked like they were annoying car things but at least had tons of useful pieces for making new throwbots. So I got them all... but overall the sets weren't really that good, and honestly I think it would have been better not to spend on them all and instead wait for a year and use the money on a rahi...
  9. The whole line seems over priced. At first the heroes followed av-matoran tradition. But the rest are really hard to believe. The small villains are not really as complete as toa/glatorian were to deserve the 13 bucks tag. They would have been fine with 11, imho. The large titans are very small and have few pieces in comparison to last year's titans at the same price, in fact they are just the usual toa build with some few extra accessories and piston legs. Specially with these guys, it does not seem that excuses such as new molds would work this time considering these two guys are mostly made of old bionicle pieces... Drop ship is insanely bad in regards to price, it is smaller than Rockoh but costs 20% more.
  10. THE MIME HAS THREE HEAD PIECES!
  11. Then it looks like we'll be getting a worse torso piece than the Ben 10 ones. Take a look, it is a new mold which seems like the fusion of the Inika torso and hips. And at least thunder has Ben 10 limbs.
  12. The yellow was a super large garage! I think it has enough space for the huge tank. God this set is going to be so expensive but totally worth it.
  13. There are no titans anymore which is what I liked about bionicle. Now we have just two inika build guys (which will probably cost as much as titans, great!), four ben 10 guys and six av-matoran-ish guys. Rotor and Nebula are cool and I might get them assuming they don't charge more than 15 USD for them. The rest seem poor build-wise and I am feeling like they will cost as much as canisters... I felt bad vibes ever since LEGO started to brag about the "constraction" concept... I am sure kids would love it but this new philosophy makes it unsuitable for my taste. I might get Nebula and Rotor if their prices are reasonable but I am moving back to system. I really miss the times of the exo-toa and the Rahi. :( . Perhaps one day technic will once again include giant robots again. BTW, in one article they said HF sets would cost between 8 and 50 USD. The only set that looks worthy of that price tag is drop ship, but it looks kind of too much for it. Edit: Oh, the cards have price tags that's useful. I am not sure Nebula and rotor are really worth as much as 20 USD. Drop ship might be bigger than it seems else that price is quite crazy. So: Heroes 7.99, small villains : 12.99 large villains: 19.99 Furno bike: 29.99 Drop ship: 49.99 Edit : Ah well, they just seem like Inika build, but might be a little more complex. They have titan legs and Rotor's box has a piece count. I think that although rotor and nebula are sort of small they should be fun to build, so I'll probably really pay their price. I like rotor's new color tone or is it just a better pic? I have mixed feelings about Nebula's new color, it looks cool now, but I liked the gunmetal goodies. Nebula's box is so incredibly awesome that I expect it to vanish from the shelves. I'll rush to buy him.
  14. The first half of my LEGO life was 100% dedicated to space. Then space... died so I moved to bionicle, then bionicle canisters got repetitive and my money/space were no longer helping so I had a dark age. Recently I recovered from the dark age and went to bionicle by default... Nowadays I can't help but see the invention of the 'constraction' word as a very, very bad sign. Also I've been really liking some stuff . So I am just a set purchase away from moving on back to "system" again. My current plan is to have an eclectic Creator + Space + Star wars collection so I could do many sci-fi stuff.
  15. Well, I am just commenting on what people that were at the fairs say: Like this from brickset: I'd love to see the new molds used elsewhere.
  16. I swear next time I am forced to watch a dubbed movie i am going to scream. Just because nobody named it yet: Super Mario Bros. It easily goes for all three categories, specially Why?
  17. Do notice that for example, the shovel was changed for no reason. Just about every fig we got close pics of turns out to have a new mold even for pieces that already existed. They are trying to make the figs 'exclusives' .
  18. I would settle for an occasional alien civilian faction.
  19. There are also fish that do that. One of them is rather cool when sucking everything with his mouth. My father uses them all the time and there is rarely any algae. Though I guess placing the aquarum away from sun sources helps too. When I said fish water I am talking about all the sort of things that aquarum water brings, mainly algae I imagine water going through the small space between bricks would be pretty bad because of algae growing inside of the construction. Well, maybe someobody should try asking the guys at that aquarium for a tip.
  20. I am afraid part of the marketing related to these figs says that none of the new molds will be ever used again ...
  21. haha Pocahontas. Let's accept it though, nobody really went to this film expecting a good plot but expecting good fx. The visuals were amazing. Can I have all your LEGO sets now that you'll die?
  22. Or perhaps they have some sort of isolation between the construction and the water. I'd guess it is possible with bricky constructions to cover them with some trans plastic? I dunno I just thought of how bad would fish water entering between the bricks can be and so my first idea was something like that. If you put used bricks make sure to clean them up before introducing to the aquarium, and if you clean them up make sure to get rid of all soap first...
  23. I don't think it is a good idea to just not speculate about the quality of this minifig promo. I vote for the thread to get split so that we could have the ambassador's statement and also the posts about the mark of the beast and stuff like that and etc, etc, etc. The series01 folder is earlier than the Robid Hood one so probably it just had the usual cgi pic of all the figures and other stuff we've already seen.
  24. Well, it was one of all those blogs that talked about the figs series that mentioned there is at least one of each fig in a box. Huw from brickset.com was the first (or one of the first?) to mention that they come in bags and that the bags are too solid to allow you to use your tact to feel the figs.
  25. TAKE IT BACK! -- Space police or police space? Hehe, how about MoCs of civilians riots and resistance against the police asking for rights of the aliens? Makes me want to make my planned return to system official ^^.
