  1. Thanks a lot for answering KDog, that was very instructive
  2. The Jack Sparrow voodoo doll minifig also has a head like that. Why? this is a good question. I wish they return to the classic stud with "LEGO" written on it, it was cute!
  3. Nice work in the curved wall ACPin! I like the belly you used for the clones in the red tanks, it really gives the impression that those three aren't "baked" enough yet! Are the three studs in the small glass things fetuses? I love the way you made Ninety-Nine. To me he's an important character to make the clones look more human. You did a fantastic work as always.
  4. Hello Vickrion, that's very good for a first post dark-age MOC! You seem to have quite an important collection. I'm really a fan of those scenes, full of details and action. You did a good job on the brick-built squid coming out of the sea. Why are the redcoats shooting at the diver? They think he's some kind of monster too? Be sure I'll take a look to your future creations! Paul
  5. Sorry mate but my voodoo Jack is exactly similar to what I see on bricklink: tan head with gray vertical stripes...
  6. Aha I love the abrupt end^^ I like your story-telling and how you build the hole in the sand little by little. The 8-bit SNOT obelisk is very nice. Good job, Stormbringer!
  7. Hey Zyniker/Cyniker! I must say I like this guy, the cockpit is very clever and seems to close well. Seeing the upper part of the right arm, I suppose you have to work with a small collection of parts, so !!! The claw of course is a cool feature, it sure has a great playability and I might steal you this design in the future Keep building those neat mechs and improving your techniques!
  8. Yay another adventurers MOC! The lightening and angles of the pictures are perfect. Your statue using the anubis warrior's head looks great and Dr Hale running from the mummy made me laugh (this guy doesn't have a mouth?). I'm always impressed when people achieve to photograph the inside of the MOC, without any view of their bedroom/garage/lego room. I'd like to know, when you dismantle it, how long it takes to clean the parts from all this sand!
  9. Oh yes I see whay you mean and where the gap should be. Nice work anyway.
  10. Lots of grey, I love it! I like your idea for the cockpit. I expected the upper par of the wings to move, no feature here? Non lego-related question: how did you get the drawing effect of your first picture?
  11. Wow... All this room, the numerous crew members and cannons, lots of cannons You can tell your friend he did an amazing work that makes me want to be a child again and play! Thank you for sharing this!
  12. What was Walkyrie's life before she joined Blacktron?
  13. Congrats for your pro account and sorry for your wallet! It's very cool to have your splendid work shot in various angles now in flickr
  14. You did something really awesome here, too bad you had to stop the project. Animation is nice, but that's not just it: the brick built lab is very cool, there is a big work done with the sounds and visual effects, and you custom expressions for the minifig's faces make them nearly alive! Seeing your video left me speechless for a while, with a smile on my face
  15. Oh yes that's something I have forgotten to say! Thanks Meyerc13. LegoCityMann, you can use screw drivers for the sticks if you have some, that's what I did, it looks OK for the size.
  16. Oh sorry, it's not what I meant! When I first saw your link, I didn't look carefully and thought it was the first movie, again, and only realized my mistake when I saw LT speaking of the "new movie" ^^ So, thank you meyerc13 for sharing this movie!
  17. Hi Diana, and congratulations Ro87n! It's good to see someone from the "outside" having some interest in how we work. I have a pdf file I found sometimes ago, you may or not find it interesting, I'll mail it to you Diana.
  18. Thank you lightningtiger for pointing out the fact that it is a new movie! I first clicked the link but closed the page as I thought I had already seen it This movie is fun too, even for an adult (well, for an afol at least...) and I'm sure it has inspired a lot of kids to create some crazy adventures in their lego cities (and of course to buy some of the new city and space sets, blink, blink, blink )
  19. More than an awesome MOC, it is a wonderful picture, very arty. I'm a big fan of all your work with the squid dudes . Is there a back story? Hope to see more and more of MOCs of this style.
  20. Hi mate! It's a good build for a first post, I particularly appreciate the SNOT pillars on the top and the axes, dragon wings, pirate flags and flames as decorations. I like the small spots too. However there are some weaknesses (more than the lack of band members and crowd, that doesn't bother me a lot): even for for a two-guys band, more amplifiers are needed! It needs at least an amplifier for the guitar and a microphone, unless it's an instrumental band. Let's say the 2x2 yellow bricks with the grilles you put on each side of the scene are meant for the public to ear the drums, guitar and voice: they need to be a a little bigger and, why not, attached higher to the pillars. Hope you didn't take my critique too badly, I suppose that as a new guy, you don't have a lot of parts, just like me Check my flickr, I made something similar and I'm rather happy with some details, although I couldn't make a ramp for the lightings. See ya! Paul
  21. This is good! I like the pole too and a nice snot road is always a pleasure to see. The bike looks very aggressive, but I really don't like the tiny wheels. I don't blame you, I know it's hard to build a side-car. What piece is the grey wire?
  22. Here are the sets that trigger my imagination the most 6/ Museum Antiquities by TooMuchCaffeine: 1 point 7/ Temple of Amset Ra by Gabe: 1 point 12/ Attack of the Dojo by Legomaniac: 2 points 28/ The excavation of the fortress of Ra Ahmin Ka by Tervlon: 3 points
  23. Thank you guys! I did my best with this MOC and nearly became crazy while building the plane: because of a general lack of good parts, it was more a puzzle than an actual lego building but I still managed to throw in some features. I think I need a medal for this
  24. You did an awesome work here Tervlon! I love all the details and textures, there's a great variety of figs and it has a strong "raiders of the lost arch" feel. The modularity, allowing to access the tomb is a cool feature, I'd love to see this set for real. Good luck!
  25. The ruins of an old hotel in an oasis in Egypt have been used by a team of relic hunters to establish their base-camp. This is the place where their plane lands with all their equipment and from where they start their expeditions to bring back the golden treasures of the cursed Pharaoh Amset-Ra. But they'd better be careful for Amset-Ra's evil minions don't intend to let them go without a fight! Minifigs from left to right: the journalist/photographer girl, the old archaeologist, the mechanic/mercenary, the adventurer/relic hunter, a mummy, the undead scorpion warrior, a mummy, some scorpions. -I turned one of the mummies torso backwards to make the 2 look different (thank you back printing and double-sided heads!) Some cargo brought by the plane. Please notice the SNOT for the motors, it took me a while to make it work and it is actually the only design I really like about this MOC . The plane itself has a functional landing gear, open able body, room for crates and minifigs, a parachute, detailed cockpit and of course the wings can move. The off-road car is a newer and bigger version of the Scorpion Tracker, on of my favourite sets of my childhood This place used to be a hotel before nature, erosion and vegetation took their rights years ago. Half of the floor is conserved, there is a bed and the team can even prepare meal. They built a precarious tower to house the radar and radio stuff necessary for landing a plane in this area. The treasures are hidden in a crate behind the scale that goes from the bed to the control tower. -the black scale can unfold, the radar turns, the torches can be detached to be used to make signals to the plane. A better view of the building as well as the bike and scorpion guy I didn't show much. More photos will be available on my brickshelf when moderated, including ones of the landing gear, figs (the team), control tower... I would like thank you for your attention guys, I know I don't stand a chance in this contest seeing the other awesome MOCs (and not only in the PQ theme), but trying to build an almost decent entry with my limited parts was a cool challenge . Don't hesitate to comments and criticize! Paul
