  1. Its currently a shade over 5 feet (1.6m) and will be slightly longer once the "tail fin" thats sticks out past the engines is put on.
  2. I was planning on doing it in all Light Grey but I've just been informed by my 7 year old that it will be like the one in The Clone Wars.
  3. yup, we have somewhere between 150-200 Storm/Clone Troopers, it should be well staffed.
  4. Mostly got the dimensions from pics on line and EaW. The hardest problem with something this size is keeping structural integrity. I've only used up 1/4 to 1/5 of my technic dark bley girders. We've already moved it off the kitchen table anddown to the Lego Room in the double garage before my wife got too mad at us. It was fairly sturdy after we added another 3 rows of "ribs" along the "keel" I'll post more pics on the weekend.
  5. Little something I'm working on with my two boys
  6. Thanks for all the comments everyone! Henry Jones will soon be exiting the stage soon, working on brasso-ing the Henry Jones face right off and replacing it with a generic face. To order 100 fleshy heads (figure minimum 50 bucks) when I've got heads, albeit with Henrys faces on it, seems abit extreme, but I may have to if the new faces look wrong. The North Shore Regiment (New Brunswick) was part of the 8th Brigade of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. I hope to have the landing craft finished by end of March, the beach and water finished by April, the Beach defenses finshed by May, and part of the village and strong hold finished by June.
  7. Thanks! Also working on the Juno Beach Nan Sector defenses too.
  8. I wish they'd make both! Dark Grey is great for Allied vehicles and Dark Bley or Light Grey for Axis
  9. Helmets are made with sculpey, after cooked and hardened I took a couple leaves off of a plastic tree cut them down and glued them on with crazyglue. When thier weapons show up I'll post more pics. (eta 2-3 weeks) I've got another 35 soldiers or so planned along with a Churchill AVRE (Royal Engineers) a Centaur tank (Royal Marines) 3 LCA's, and maybe a LCI. With all of this I hope to make a fairly massive D-Day Juno Beach Nan Sector Diorama.
  10. Fantastic job!
  11. I agree with Tanotrooper, the turret is the hard part. I`ve been working on a T-34 as well, but its in my `Frustrating Project Box` along with a Churchill tank. I had the wheels and body and a temp turret is a couple days, then I played with the turret for a couple weeks trying to get it right, and volia!
  12. Thanks! PS I love the Blues Brothers
  13. Thanks for the compliment, bur if you think that's impressive check this out! ;-)
  14. Got a Squad of Wehrmacht for my StuGs now
  15. Very nice! good scale. I'm quite sure my german minifig and tank collection will be cowering in fear with this bad boy soaring the lego skies.
  16. I'm envious of your Brickmania instruction CD, thanks for the comments, make sure you post pics of your half-track ;-) 3/10 ouch! Just think how many treads I modified to make this pic! ;-)
  17. Yeah they were green, but the dark green color lego has doesn't have the types of pieces I need. Eventually it will be all Dark Grey and the dark Bley will be gone. Yup thats a Sturmgeschutz III see this thread for more pics http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21811 Yup....I cut em. Actually it worked out to be cheaper than using the single stud wide tracks in two rows.
  18. Hopefully a cool effect, 37 years old and I have never smoked a cigarette. I put some kleenex in a tea light candle holder, lit it and then blew it out so that it smoldered and put it under the rear of the Tank. Just a test for an up coming scene idea I have.
  19. Yup modified..horrible I know. I'll probably end up in Lego Hell someday for this where all they'll have to play with is MegaBloks and Lincoln Logs. Yeah, the Sherman didn't know it was a non-smoking vig, so the StuG put it out for him...BLAM!
  20. Hi there! My poor StuGs needed someone to fight and after bending Daniel Siskind's ear a bit here's the prototype Here's a little diorama of a knocked out Sherman with a StuG
  21. Perhaps Mary is still with child? Great scene, and Merry Christmas
  22. The Ardennes Offensive occurs several decades late but several days early!!!!
