This head is PERFECT for Solidus from MGS2:

Hi. I've never done a review before, and I don't think I'm going to even try, as it would most likely suck (and I don't even have the boxes or instructions for my old sets). There is a little creation I maybe would like to share, maybe I will, maybe I'll not... I'll just leave it at that.
-
Don't you think that's a little too much?
-
I guess your favourite theme is Police...?
-
EDIT: Look what I just found!!

Hello. I'm from Poland. I'm a fan of LEGO since 1992 when I got my first System set on my birthday (it was a small police car). I got a lot of bricks from my elder siblings, though (mostly basic blocks). I started more seriously collecting sets around 1996, but I wasn't really concentrating on one particular theme at the time, and just "impulsively" bought sets that caught my eye at the shop, usually. Thanks to that, I have a pretty large variety of useful pieces now. Although my collection is really miniscule compared to some of the people's I've seen online. I became a big fan of Adventurers when the theme came out in 1998, and got almost the entire line of the Dino Island in 2000. I have also always liked the Castle sets, although I'm not really fond of anything that came out after 2000 in that regard... Unfortunately, I'm too young to remember when the Classic Castle was in its full glory (I don't really consider Dragon Masters, Royal Knights or the Fright Knights as part of Classic Castle; I don't even think their generally labeled as such, as I believe the term "Classic Castle" applies only to sets from before 1993), and barely have several used minifigs from that era. I'm looking forward to the new Kingdoms line next year, as it looks very promising. I've never really had a dark age, at least in the sense of "throwing the bricks down the basement"; as I recall, I never really stopped playing with LEGO (at least occasionally). But I did kind of lose interest in new sets around 2001, when I saw all that new <insert that tiresome argument> rubbish, like Jack Stone, Bionicle etc. I also dislike the current trend of LEGO having so many licensed sets (especially when it's some stupid kids' cartoon; I mean, come on! How could you stoop so low, TLG?!)... although I'm looking forward to the PoP because of the new useful pieces. Now I'm getting interested for the new sets again. My favourite themes: - Adventurers - Castle (NOT including KK2; KK1 wasn't THAT bad, but it wasn't nearly as good as anything before it, either) I don't think I'll be able to post any pictures of my MOCs or anything (I don't have a digital camera), but you're not going to regret it, trust me; there's nothing really worth looking at there (my best MOC would probably be a functional brown bear built for minifig scale). Sorry for a long and boring introduction. Luckily, nobody's going to read it, probably, anyway...

The retailer catologue says June 2010. No problem, and thanks for the compliment.

I hope the camel will soon be available outside of this theme.

I remember when I was in elementary school, there was a "knights day" where basically the whole school was filled with various drawings (by kids) of knights and other "medieval" items. One kid brought the KK1 castle and it was put on a table in a school corridor. The castle itself didn't really impress me... The other day, there was a "futuristic" exhibition (supposedly predicting how life would look like in the 21st century), and somebody brought in the Terra Tracker from UFO.

Where do you get these?! Anyway, I vote for the caveman, since it's a pretty original idea, and the minifig looks like it serves it purpose; not only that, it could work as a bum, too!
-
Right on! Very odd they don't have the chest armour pieces... then again, the sets are preliminary; maybe they'll have them added later. And I'd take a helmet with the moving visors over any other Castle helmet any day!!
-
Am I the only one who finds the idea of LEGO Toy Story ridiculous? Not to mention, I think they're overdoing it with all those new licensed themes...
-
He didn't say they rode unicorns. Same way the Dragon faction won't be riding dragons... it's just that their emblem resembles a unicorn (or does it?). And I believe there was horned headgear like that in the middle ages.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=390180 Where did this guy get so many of those pieces (I suppose the ones packed in huge amounts are real LEGO)?!
-
How would that piece make SNOT easier? Sorry, I can't see that, please explain.
-
Thank you. Finally a sane forum! I never understood why it is supposedly wrong to revive old threads... and I actually have a tendency to do that a lot.
-
I said there aren't any archers in the new castle (defending it)!! I do, and I don't see one in there! Well, not really an army but a group of soldiers that's capable of defending it. I don't think 3 of them is enough... That's why I hope more minifigs will have been added to the final version of that set. Do I make myself clear now? Sorry for sounding con-fusing. Hooray!!
-
I was talking about the new 2010 Castle (I can only see a crossbowman on the Dragons' side)...
-
How can you say the new Kingdoms line is <insert that tiresome argument> is beyond me. It's cleary a move from the more children-directed Fantasy Era Castle towards a more realistic line.

The Penguin's Castle Minifigures..... )
Mörs replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Why don't you make a Titan or an angel? -
So if I wanted to talk about this set, I'm supposed to make a new thread about it, instead of simply posting here?
-
Why not?
-
Ahh... I remember how badly I wanted that set when it was new... oh well... Definitely one of the most original castles, if not THE most. I actually liked how the 1st floor was made into a throne room. The tower looks pretty impressive, too. Of course, the castle has a flagrant flaw -- the walls on the sides are open. I also think it lacks in the minifig count, though that is understandable for a castle with a dragon. Totally agreed.
-
Outstanding! Probably the best official LEGO catapult I've ever seen! ...Or is it really a trebuchet?
-
Well, I guess that's why it's called the "King's Castle Siege". But even then, the idea of having a castle with 4 people in it, none of which are archers, and only one horse, doesn't stand much... especially when the attacking force is almost just as numerous... catch my drift? Fair enough but that's KK2, so that doesn't count! Yeah, what we have already seen looks like a remake of the 1995 Castle -- Royal Knights vs. Dragon Masters.
