What I meant was you could have minifigs of some famous Greek people (philosophers, in particular), like Plato or Socrates, maybe with an academy to boot. I don't really think it's a good idea, either...

Discussion: LEGO Action Themes Reviews Index
Mörs replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Can you add my review of the Loader-Dozer from Rock Raiders? Also, I might be doing some Adventurers reviews soon... but definitely not the Dino Research Compound, as I would need to deconstruct some of my MOCs in order to build it. -
I don't think many kids are interested in building Techinic vehicles with complicated mechanisms, either, yet LEGO makes them. Isn't there a line called "Architecture", actually?
-
Actually, sometimes I tend to do that in real life, too! Obviously though, on the Internet it is much easier and, I guess, more useful (well, you don't record all your real life conversations; this is supposed to be one of the advantages of an Internet forum...).
-
And another one: both of them! Romans vs. Greeks! Or maybe Romans vs. Celts? In any case, if you want to have Romans, you would need some other (historical) faction for them to fight; for Greeks, I guess mythical monsters could work. Actually, I'm not even sure I would like to see either of them... Come to think of it, for some reason, I don't think making a very realistic and historically accurate ancient/medieval theme would be a good idea... I don't know, something about that strikes me as being un-LEGO. Well, imagine that, instead of the usual factions, Castle had English vs. French... that's just... wrong. How about EGYPTIANS? You could have pyramids! Then again, who would they fight? Then AGAIN, who said a "historical" LEGO theme needs to incorporate violence? How about the Greek line (with or without the mythological element in it) be centered around ancient Greek architecture, or famous philosophers, and stuff like that. It could work.

Why didn't anyone think of making such an explanation sooner? Anyway, thanks for writing that up!

Do you mean Thimoty Treadwell? He died in 2003, and there was even a movie made about him called Grizzly Man... Anyway... RIP Steve Irwin 1962-2006. I can still remember how shocked I was when I learned about his death...

Psh... there's much worse stuff going on... (WARNING: You're probably never going to eat at McDonald's after watching that! )

I don't really see the point of drawing a minifig...

Adventurers Review Series Part 2/4: 5920 Island Racer
Mörs replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
BEST LOOKING ADVENTURERS CAR! PERIOD. -
I meant it's a given on New Year's Eve... What do you mean, as well? I sure as hell won't be!!

A fun fact about KK2 you probably don't know...
Mörs replied to Mörs's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Knights' Kingdom 2, AKA the Jelly Bean Knights, AKA the worst Castle line ever. So many Poles here... I don't feel unique anymore! -
I have no interest in Toy Story, but the soldiers certainly make up for this set as being noteworthy! Too bad they have green faces... well, you could say they're wearing facecamo, which makes sense. The jeep isn't bad, either.
-
Isn't that kind of a given? Anyway, I'll probably be alone at my house! YEAH!
-
Just for the record, I HATE KK2, and never had any sets from that line. But I know the main "villain" there is named "Lord Vladek". What's so funny about that? Well, I would imagine to an English speaking person, who has never heard a name like "Vladek", it can sound very mysterious, maybe even evil... but, guess what? In Polish, the name Władek (pronounced, "Vwahdek") is like a super generic name, one that makes me think of some drunken bum!

Uhh... aren't you supposed to be 18 or older to be a member here...? Come to think of it, don't you find it extremely ironic that a website about LEGO TOYS demands for its users to be ADULTS?! And, let's be honest -- all those supposed adults are children inside. I mean, if it wasn't for this topic, I would have a really hard time telling if a person is an underager or not, just by reading their posts... ...Oh, and I just turned 3*7 a few days ago. Solve THAT, math whizzes!

HOLY FLYING MONKEYS BATMAN!!! (Not really sure what to say here...) I AM SO UNSPEAKABLY AMAZED BY THE MECHANISMS LEADING YOU TO THE GOLDEN DRAGON, I ACTUALLY GOT SWEATY PALMS READING THE REVIEW!!! (I'm not joking!) This is the best Adventurers temple/building EVER! PERIOD! . <- Period! I was always impressed with the look of this set, but I would NEVER have thought the interior could be so ELABORATE!! ...Not to mention, the Chinese dragon is itself pretty interesting... just as the Chinese minifigs are. I would love to have this set now...

I took the name after a certain brown bear that lives at a certain zoo I often frequent, as I think both the name as well as its BEARer are cool. Ahh, I love bears... Had to say this, seeing as certain people thought I was German, which I'm not. THAT BEAR, however, is.

Wow, those Bricklink guys sure know how to make money... :pir-skull:
-
I actually took that name from a comment on Brickset, and I found that hilarious (and fitting), so.... The rock monkey can be useful for some fantasy castle/RPG/HoMM kind of stuff as a rock monster/golem/earth elemental or something of that sort. Have you noticed how LEGO has been remaking a lot of the old series recently? Alpha Team (2001) -> Agents (2008) Rock Raiders (1999) -> Power Miners (2009) Adventurers (1998) -> Indiana Jones (2008) [Well it IS pretty closely related.] Pirates (1989) -> Pirates (2009) Divers (1997) -> Aquaraiders (2007) Wait... aren't you Polish, too, Dunjohn?

WARNING: This review is crap, and as such reading it may cause you to throw up! Viewer discretion is advised! Theme: Rock Raiders Year released: 1999 Pieces: 90 Minifigs: 1 Price: no info found (I remember it being something like 80 z

Uhh... I don't think that's a good idea... Anyway, I just realised I have a certain set built that hasn't been reviewed here! I'll see what I can do... No, an earlier one. I just found it.

Interesting but I don't really like the gasmask... Have you tried making any other MGS characters? You probably know this already, but Saber-Scorpion has made great MGS MOCS (mostly characters).

Do you think Atlantis might have really existed in the past? What if it did, and the higher-ups at TLG know that...?
