  1. IMPERIAL SOLDIER'S MAFIA SIGN-UP THREAD WILL YOU ANSWER THE CALL TO ARMS AND ENLIST? If you want to play, please post in this thread your interest within the next week or until we have reached 50 people. A group of 21 players will then be selected from those interested, and will be given roles within the game. Selections are final, and are not to be disputed. Only sign up if you are willing to make the time commitment to post every day and be an active player for the duration of your time in the game (expected game length is estimated at 2 months). If you sign up and do not participate, you will unlikely be considered for future games. This game will be a rather complex/different version of Mafia, so if you are new to the game and not confident yet it is suggested you watch this game and read up on previous games to get an idea for how it is played.
  2. The UCS Imperial Star Destroyer is my biggest set and was the set that took me longest to build. I remember some frustrations
  3. Everybody knows that both teams made PEACE after this battle and lived happily ever after.
  4. That's a lot of smilies! Never a good thing... I like what's happening so far! I have a feeling this chapter is almost over !
  5. Cool! I wonder if it would be less stressed if it was attached in the very front, near the tip of the barrel and the ramrod. It looks like the right thickness and may brove less stress (without the bulk of the stock)? Ah, I see. It's not of huge importance, but it is a very nice detail!
  6. That's pretty darn sweet, I must say! Can the bayonet go on the side? As that is where, in many cases, the bayonet belongs and not on the bottom. Looks like a percussion cap musket rather than a flintlock one (developed around the 1840s). I love the metal look! Amazing details, indeed!
  7. Centering sigs also adds a factor in stretching the screens. Or at least makes it appear to be stretched
  8. I'm loving Hinckley's responses more and more !
  9. I'll sort of copy Clone O'Patra . The general shape is great and I love it. It's just that the Alpha Team pieces , like COP said, make it not Star Wars. I think these would fit very well, in a Star Wars MOC, in a very subtle spot, having several space-like designs, but as the main body, it's no good. Color scheme and parts usage are the only problems here; change those and it could look fantastic! So, sorry for just copying Cloney, but I just wanted to voice my liking of the MOC I can see those wedges more in use if they were used sideways, in SNOT style.
  10. Happy birthday Capitan! I wish you the best!
  11. DEEP ENDS to fill the overflow is the trick This explains the trick! One of my favorites
  12. I say the ruins are the place! For the tragedy of John Willoughby's wet pants. And now to pay compliment to the host! It's like I'm reading a fascinating book with pictures! Enjoying every minute
  13. But with DEPENDS you'll need DEEP ENDS to fill the overflow. From wet pants...
  14. Let's not get into any fights, please
  15. Yes, it wasn't such a great idea. The pieces aren't ruined, though, they just lost the grip with each other. They seem to work OK with other pieces. HOWEVER, further in that thread, I also put them in freezing water and found that they did shrink (a little). While this will get them more to their original shape, it might make them brittle. Maybe not, though, mine have not yet broken (phew!) You should ask your friend what he did with them or where he stored them that made them look like this. Also! I had mold on my sails. Those weren't so nice. The sails looked OK after cleaning and intense scrubbing, though. Yours are in much better shape!
  16. I count 860 worth ! Though, this is not 100% all of the gold I have. I also have the coin sprues and 1x2 gold plates with ball on top.
  17. I don't think they're faded. I don't see how they would be or even could be! It seems like they were kept from the sun and placed in a container? I recall that ABS plastic (especially the good 'ol kind they USED to use)/LEGO bricks can't fade. They can be yellowed, but not faded. This is a guess, and certainly indicated by the gold paint on the 2x5 brick, that these bricks got coated with something (perhaps thinner?) that bound with the parts and produced these horrible results. Hopefully you can find the cause of the problem, so that you can find the answer to the problem Wish I could help out more!
  18. I'm not!
  19. Speaking of TheBrickster, I'm now fairly certain he gave me my current one, which accompanied a now-long-gone signature. Not my favorite one, I must say
  20. The poster is a big indicator that it's not Star Wars Or maybe it is
  21. A losing war makes some consider desertion! Check in February for the next Mafia Game of a battle between the good guys and traitors of the Grand Army of the Blue Coats!
  22. I don't smurf what's wrong. Everysmurfing seems smurf!
  23. The lopsided hats are a cool detail. You can notably see the tape in the fifth panel. You can also see it in...well... most of the other panels as well
  24. By now, the snow in Philadelphia is already more than a foot! Biggest and best snow storm I've seen since a while !
  25. With the Holidays so near, let's keep up the Christmas cheer! Tell me about it. Those pirates... Thanks for the comment :) . Happy holidays to you to! That it is
