Great. This looks fantastic! The skin and all is great. I like how the minifigure is moved ever so slightly, just like in a LEGO Movie :D It's a great idea and I'm glad it came through!

I'm just assuming this, but the box that is on the back of the Imperial Guards is, in fact, not a place to carry personal stuff like you would in a backpack. I would assume it to be the cartridge box that holds their rounds. However, it's not on the white bandoleer, so it makes no sense, now. So, I'm withdrawing my said statement above, , and assuming it to be a haversack. Anyway, I said yes. But also think no. A backpack adds a nice depth to the minifigure. With the shako, epaulets, etc. Without it, the figures look a little unbalanced. But not too much. It looks good both ways!

I find that I don't like pearl gold too much. (Pearl Silver is O.K.) It doesn't really give the luster of gold.

Instead of a new piece, I'd just rather have lots more gold coins in the sets. By the hundreds, hehee !!

Bayonets are more often on the right side of the musket, than under it. Most muskets I've seen and the one I have (though it's American Civil War) is on the side. Anyway, I think it looks great. Really looks like the sword type bayonets!

What makes you say that? I would say they are Imperial Guards (the original red coats), because the new soldier's flag is almost exactly that of the original Imperial Guards.

I use hot lamps too, and I never had any problems of paper burning. I've even put them up to 500 watt lights and they didn't crisp Not that keeping a fire extinguisher close by is a bad idea

Put paper over those lights to diffuse them. I do it when filming LEGO sets and it gives a nice even lighting. Btw, this arc is very interesting and enjoyable!!
