Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Conclusion
Scouty replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It was actually my mistake to not do that when starting the game! I just forgot to add it in, ! But I would have much preferred there be no PMs at all (except the deserters, as some would claim it's all a part of their strategy and things). It ends up making the actual game thread a facade and all the people are behind pming each other. I would like to see these conversations taking place openly, because, otherwise, it may actually lead people to ruin, as poor WhiteFang suffered in the game. All the evidence should be in the voting, not slipping people notes. Be clever in the open, not behind the scenes. So there's my little rant on the issue -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Conclusion
Scouty replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
At the time I was making the characters, I only had 16 blue coat soldiers (I've since gotten more, though), so I needed to create these NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) roles and such. Just be happy I didn't make everybody have the classic grin -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia In a calm, yet nerved, camp, the 42nd soldiers look at each other suspiciously. Are there really no deserters? Was it all just a rumor? Or have the deserters been very clever? There was a large silence in the camps of the Grand Army of the Blue Coats. Morale was extremely low and command missing. The silence, however, was soon broken. Along with the intermediate pace of the creek flow, a low rumble could be heard. Confused, the soldiers turned to look of the source of the rumbling... The Royal Army was attacking the camps! They've been found and the Red Coats took the initiative! Surely, in their fortified camps, they would hold off the attack, but the guards appear to be missing, though a couple dead bodies just noticed are found. "To arms, men! To arms! Get your muskets and form up your line!" But only half the men pick up their muskets, two being the drummer and flag bearer! "Ah! You no good deserters! Men! Men! Hold your ground!" "Ready, aim...!" But before they could get a shot off, the rushing Red Coats were the first to fire. The men were out numbered and shot down. It was a disaster. Even the flag bearer was not spared, dropping the flag into the mud to be trampled upon. The captain did not fare any better, getting shot in the face. Private Entaine, who was confused whether to desert or not, finally decided to help her honoured comrades. But it was in vain. Private Shadón, recently returned from the infirmary, decides to go to his tent for a nice sausage. But his in-tent stove proves deadly. Running toward the bridge, the deserters are free to run home. Private Cartelle, Private Aellot, and Provost Guard Dalese. Private Reutal, Sergeant Hemphill, Private Malne, and Private Yellman. But their fortunes had run dry, as a regiment of the Royal Army Cavalry head straight toward them! They were no match for cavalrymen, who struck them down one by one. Sergeant Stanely Hemphil. Private Rick Aellot. Provost Guard Mason Dalese. Private Bill Cartelle Private David Reutal. "Rawr! You can't kill me! We are dragon brothers!" The cavalry captain was not amused. Private Malne manages to shoot one down and continue running. Private Samuel Yellman One misses Private Yellman and hits her shako. "Hey! You wouldn't kill a lady, would you!?" Apparently, yes. Private Quinn Malne. Private Malne finds himself cornered. Inevitably killed. But what's this? Someone is viewing the carnage with some field glasses! "What a shame." "Even faced with all the true facts, the honoured became paranoid and halted their advances. The deserters, being so clever, took advantage of this and pushed them down to a broken army. Spies and letters were all that were necessary for a quick end to the pain." "Perhaps now there will be peace." Confused and paranoid, the honoured never convicted a single deserter. Nor was one ever killed. Here they lay, dead, and with the army in ruins and a lost war. Scheming and with the same sound plan, the deserters successfully knocked the honoured down like dominoes. But in their misfortunes, they never got farther than the edge of their detested camp before being hunted down by cavalrymen. At least they were killed with the dreams of home in their minds... Thus was the debacle of the Grand Army of the Blue Coats, falling into ruins and leaving the Empire unprotected. Soon, it too fell under the rule of the Royal Army's Empire. It was learned, though, that war is such a terrible thing, and rightly so, or else we would grow too fond of it. The End ************ Thank you all for playing and creating an exciting game! Please be patient as the content of the game threads will be restored and the behind the scenes posted here soon.

Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 6 "Haha! My first kill tonight! Uh, oh, what's happening here?" Private Shadón was being taken away by the 53rd Guards. "No! No! Let me go! I must...SAUSAGES! Let me GO! I'll desert! No, I can't do that, I must be honoured! NO! My sausages will desert! No, they must be honoured, too! The sausages and I will desert! Yes, yes, we will desert! War! War! It's horrible, so HORRIBLE! I will stay, fight to the end, fight to the end fight to the end fightotheendfighttotheend! LET GO OF MY SAUSAGES!" "Silly fool. Take him to the infirmary!!" Perplexed, the soldier returns to his tent. Soon, morning came and the soldiers found nobody but Private Shadón missing. They wondered until the Captain addressed the men. "I have been given a report from the Provost General concerning Private Shadón. As one of the sentries were patrolling the camp, he heard Private Shadón speaking of desertion in his tent. After trying to get him out of his tent, they concluded that he broke down, most likely from the horrors of war and the degradation of how things are happening in the 42nd. He's been sent to the infirmary, and might return to help finish our quest to find out the deserters. At least nobody died tonight. Well, eat up some breakfast and let's get to work!" Confused, the men still went about with their morning duties and conversations... ************ The Rules This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. Each "day", you will be given 4 real days in which to vote for someone to kill. The day will end as soon as a majority decision is reached, or when the 4 days are up. If someone has been convicted, you will find out their loyalty shortly after end of the day. After this a night phase will begin, which will last 2 real days. Then the cycle will repeat. Those players with night actions must PM them to me during the night phase. If I do not receive them within the two days, they will not be counted. In Imperial Soldier's Mafia, there are the Honoured and there are the Deserters. - There will be two main sides in the game. You win when your side has defeated the other. - Voting is to be done in the day thread, and should follow the following format: Vote: Character (Player). Please note the use of bold. This is the only format that will be accepted. To unvote someone, the same applies: Unvote: Character (Player). - Voting will ONLY begin after 24 hours into the Day. - You may not edit your posts. Violation of this rule may result in a court-martial. - Please avoid posting out of character in the game thread. - Do not ever directly quote something the game moderator has sent to you via PM, whether it be your character information, night action results, or any other form of communication. Violation of this rule will result in a court martial. You may of course paraphrase any information you receive; if it is your own words then it is fine. - Do not discuss game tactics or "play the game" outside the game thread, including in the Confirmation and Discussion thread. You may communicate privately via PM, but this is at your own risk, and should be considered part of playing the game. Any violation of this rule will also result in a court martial. - Please be considerate towards the host. I am unable to commit every possible minute to this, so things might be delayed. I will try to not to delay, though. -Please stay in period while in game. This is to better enhance the quality of the game and make it more fun! This is to say, do NOT post anything modern or things past the early 1800's, the set time period of this game. You will be warned when you do this, and with three warnings, you will be put up to court martial. Any mentions of PMs in the game should be really be called "Letters". -Please do not metagame. Metagaming is where you play the current game based off of the results of other past game. While it is a good tactic, it has ruined other player's game (like getting quickly voted off) because of their past character. Metagaming will result in an immediate court-martial. -Players are no longer allowed to PM each other. COURT-MARTIAL If you are to be found breaking any of the above rules, you will be put to court-martial. These were military courts that would deal with soldiers who broke the rules (deserting, criminal acts, stealing). After you have been caught breaking the rules, the host will PM 5 random members in the game. They will decide your fate with a Yes/No vote. Found guilty, you will be sentenced to death. Found not-guilty, you are free. Be careful! Guilty members will not be replaced by the reserves. Lastly, Have a ball Character List: Pvt. Alex Gierdieu (Alex the Great) Pvt. "Private Tom Perot!" "You have been convicted on the terms of desertion! May God have mercy on you. Detail! Ready! Present!" "I'm sane, don't you see!? I don't want to dieeeee!" "Fire!" BANG! "Honoured, didn't you see? This man was honoured." Finally convicted, but without a good result, the men return to their tents. It seems the 53rd Guards have let up, but they're still in pretty big numbers around the camp. ************ Day 5 has concluded with Private Tom Perot, TinyPiesRUs, being convicted. Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 5 "La....la....la...*hic*...la! Wifey wife! Imma comin'! Wif...*hic*...wifey...la la di da!" The posted guards notice the stumbling soldier immediately. "He's escaping!" yelled one guard. "I've got him!" yelled another guard. BANG! Shot on site and sight. "No good deserter." Everybody heard the guns shot, but nobody dared leave their tents. Soon, the sun rose and the new day began. They saw the body of Private Talón Rames being dragged into a shallow grave. They couldn't help notice a strange scent coming from the left, though. Pvt. Aellot, Pvt. Oult, Pvt. Cartell, Pvt. Stelly, Pvt. Perot, and Pvt. Toreil went to investigate the foul stench. What they found was most appalling... Provost Guard Ian Des has been killed! They decide to return to camp and report to the captain of the deaths. After searching their bodies, Captain Qocél gathered the men to tell the news. "Well, then," the captain sighed, "After searching Private Rames, I discovered that he was an hounoured soldier. The guards told me that he smelt of brandy, which might explain his absence." The soldiers gave sad expressions, but the captain was not done yet. "It seems Provost Guard Des was shot with a musket in the chest; I thought I heard two shots last night...Anyway, after searching his knapsack, I discovered that... that he was an honoured soldier, too. Blast! Two more down! Men! We must rally! Rally for the Grand Army! Eat your breakfast and begin your discussions!" I'm going to let the less participatory members know if they should wish to continue or be replaced. Or just simply replace them. Also, please, please, please let me know if you're going to be caught up, else you could find yourself in a grave! Just let me know and not be frantically looking around for my missing players Another "Also," the voice from the sky speaks in your dreams: "Oh, yeah! Report any potato messages you get from this game...of life...for it is now a crime to do so!"

With a sense of failure, the soldiers are distraught to find another day without a conviction, and most likely the consequences. Distant clops were heard and the soldier's hearts sank. The Provost General was galloping in... "53rd Guards, to your posts! Fix bayonets and move these men into line!" -Provost General- Half of the 53rd Guards invade the 42nd camp and usher the soldiers into a line, including the Provost Guards. "In position, sir!" -Private Trulón- "I'm not surprised at all to find that nobody has been convicted. Full of conspiracies and mistrust...you soldiers disgust me! As I have instructed my soldiers, anybody to step outside of restricted camp boundaries will be shot immediately. I am even more shocked to find half the regiment is as silent as Private D. Gale. Or just a peep. One little sentence and that is all. How do you expect to conduct this sort of investigation when all you do is look at each other and listen to those who dare to be vocal? Or is it that you care not to share what you have, only putting up a facade and hiding behind paper and potatoes? Fie, I say, fie! Let it be known that the paper and potatoes be withheld from this regiment or rot in any of your possessions! Go to bed, you silent undead. Tomorrow is a new day and who knows what will happen..." Pushed by the 53rd Guards, the soldiers are forced into their tents and begin their sleep until a new day... ************ Day 4 has ended with no conviction. Please send in Night Actions. Any member caught doing so will be put to Court Martial. You may now only discuss in the game thread. This is your punishment for not convicting two days in a row. With only three hours remaining in the day, the 42nd is found to be disorganized and confused. They could hear the Provost General's angry words at the back of their minds... The captain reads aloud from his notebook the current votes: Private David Reutal (Dragonator) - 6 votes (Bob the Construction Man, TinyPiesRUs, Alex the Great, AwesomeStar, Rick, Roncanator) Provost Guard Ian Des (iamded) - 2 votes (Stash2sixx, Sandy) They wondered what would happen...

As it stands, 5 votes for Privare Reutal and sorta one vote for provost Guard Des. 11 votes are needed to convict. [i can't do the proper vote count format as I'm 200 miles away from my computer now and just on my phone.

"Not to bother any of you, but you're all free to vote now, as the probation is over. Also, your Regiment should be getting rations soon. Quite good ones, too, I hear!" -Private Trulón-

Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 4 Hearing the roosters call out their morning alarm, Captain Qocél got up from his cot and put his uniform. Happy, he would go out and see the beautiful 42nd regiment, in line, ready for role call. He trusted his NCO's to do their duty. The sun was not quite risen, yet, a bluish tint shining from under his tent. He untied his tent and stepped out. He was shocked to find that only Pvt. Oult, Pvt. Toreil, Pvt. Stelly, and Drummer Boy Maetan standing in line, obviously quite stressed at the absence of their comrades. "What's going on here? asked Captain Qocél. "I don't know." answered one soldier. Just then, though, Provost Guards Des and Dalese, Pvt. Malne, Pvt. Gierdieu, Pvt. Yellman, Pvt. Rames, Sgt, Hemphill, and Flag Bearer Redman were coming from the river bank. "Ah, nothing like washing our faces in the cool morning water!" remarked one soldier. "You said it! Boy, did I need a bath!" said another. "Now my spare clothes are drying!" commented another soldier. "What on Earth are all you guys there for??" asked Captain Qocél. At that moment, though, Pvt. Aellot, Pvt. Perot, Pvt. W. Gale, and Pvt. Reutal were coming from another direction. "We shouldn't have eaten Pvt. Shadón's sausages at midnight yesterday!" said one soldier. "We'll need a detail to dig another latrine!" remarked another. "Ah! What's going on!?!" yelled Drummer Boy Maetan. "Just what I'm wondering!" replied Captain Qocél. Then, Pvt. Cartelle and Pvt. Camon are coming out of their tent, chatting with each other. "So I really think the royalists are stumped this time." said one. "I think this is the time that we will be winning!" said the other. Pvt. Entaine and Pvt. Shadón suddenly walk out of their tent. "Oh! So that's where you got the sausages!" said Pvt. Entaine. "Yup! And I got them dirt cheap! They were on the being of sale!" replied Pvt. Shadón. As everybody walks in, the Captain is quite baffled at the current situation. Still, he gathers himself and counts everybody. "One, five, ten, sixteen, twenty one! Wow! Nobody was killed last night! But why is everybody not at role call on time? Uh, oh, the general is coming. MEN! FORM UP A LINE! AT THE DOUBLE QUICK! The general comes!" ordered Captain Qocél. The general came galloping in, screaming his head off. "CAPTAIN! What is going on!? Why has almost your ENTIRE regiment miss role call!? First I hear they did not convict the previous day and now THIS!? INTOLERABLE! This regiment, and this goes for you, my Provost Guards, will CONDUCT itself in an ORDERLY fashion. Else, I will take drastic measures! If NOBODY is CONVICTED today, then I will have the 53rd Guards posted at EVERY tent. The first person to walk out of their tent is shot IMMEDIATELY. If it weren't for your brave and kind Captain, I would have you STAND in line the WHOLE DAY until you convict. However, I'm sure the captain will dismiss you. DO NOT fail me again. My eye-patch is proof of my capabilities. Captain, to your orders!" Taking a few breaths, the Provost General gallops back to his head quarters. "42nd! Break ranks, march! Eat up and start working!" -Captain Qocél- Nerved, the soldiers set themselves around the camp fire and begin cooking breakfast... [Note: Camera problems meant either delay or lack of pictures. Lack of pictures/recycled is the choice.] ************ The Rules This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game.
