"The only items issued to you, privates, are a shako, red epaulets, knapsack, uniform, musket, and a bayonet. Usually only officers are issued swords." [shows off his sword]

I just want to comment that I only used the cutlass because I didn't have knife at hand. Also that you shouldn't really be looking in the pictures for clues. The logical reasoning is that you're not there to see it happen. You're sleeping while bad deeds are happening. It's being shown to you for entertainment reasons and to tell you who has been killed. The real information, if it can be trusted (disclaimer ), is in the PMs and text, not pretty pictures ! In that sense, just because I'm using the Imperial Soldier minifig for these scenes, doesn't mean it's a private. With the classic grin, it's what the all black minifigure was in other games.

Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 3 In the dark night, a soldier walks towards a tent... "Now it's the Lieutenant's turn!" "Time for a nice night stride. I need some cool air. Especially after all this voting!" -Lieutenant Pellcan- Surprised, the soldier leaps towards the Lieutenant... "What are you doing out so late Private aaaaaaaaaaaargh!" The soldier quickly attacks the Lieutenant and leaves him to bleed to death. The morning sun rises and everybody is present for roll call, except the Lieutenant. Though, nobody took much noticed and figured he need a little more sleep. Soon, the last sausages were cooking on the fire. The soldiers had a more restful night, not being woken up by any explosions. A few soldiers commented on a few screams through the night, though. "HE...HELP!" screamed somebody. Running around the tents, the soldiers found the Lieutenant crawling on the ground. Private Yellman and Private W. Gale went to help the blood-soaked Lieutenant. Quickly galloping toward the injured Lieutenant, the Provost General inquired as to what had happened. "We don't know, sir! He was most likely attacked last night by one of the deserters! Fortunately, the killer must have been rushed, as the Lieutenant only suffered a deep cut instead of a fatal stab." -Captain Qocél- "Very well. Well, take him to the infirmary and let's hope he survives. As for the rest of you, keep diligent! And, please, vote a deserter today!" -Provost General- Later... "After checking the wounded Lieutenant's tent, we have determined, regretfully, that he was an honoured soldier." -Captain Qocél- Returning to their meals, the soldiers are sad that their Lieutenant is now gone, unlikely to return any time soon... A total of 11 votes are needed to convict today. [Note: The player of the Lieutenant is dead, but the character will survive as he reveals to you guys the loyalty of the brave men of the 42nd!] ************ The Rules This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. Each "day", you will be given 4 real days in which to vote for someone to kill. The day will end as soon as a majority decision is reached, or when the 4 days are up. If someone has been convicted, you will find out their loyalty shortly after end of the day. After this a night phase will begin, which will last 2 real days. Then the cycle will repeat. Those players with night actions must PM them to me during the night phase. If I do not receive them within the two days, they will not be counted. In Imperial Soldier's Mafia, there are the Honoured and there are the Deserters. - There will be two main sides in the game. You win when your side has defeated the other. - Voting is to be done in the day thread, and should follow the following format: Vote: Character (Player). Please note the use of bold. This is the only format that will be accepted. To unvote someone, the same applies: Unvote: Character (Player). - Voting will ONLY begin after 24 hours into the Day. - You may not edit your posts. Violation of this rule may result in a court-martial. - Please avoid posting out of character in the game thread. - Do not ever directly quote something the game moderator has sent to you via PM, whether it be your character information, night action results, or any other form of communication. Violation of this rule will result in a court martial. You may of course paraphrase any information you receive; if it is your own words then it is fine. - Do not discuss game tactics or "play the game" outside the game thread, including in the Confirmation and Discussion thread. You may communicate privately via PM, but this is at your own risk, and should be considered part of playing the game. Any violation of this rule will also result in a court martial. - Please be considerate towards the host. I am unable to commit every possible minute to this, so things might be delayed. I will try to not to delay, though. -Please stay in period while in game. This is to better enhance the quality of the game and make it more fun! This is to say, do NOT post anything modern or things past the early 1800's, the set time period of this game. You will be warned when you do this, and with three warnings, you will be put up to court martial. Any mentions of PMs in the game should be really be called "Letters". -Please do not metagame. Metagaming is where you play the current game based off of the results of other past game. While it is a good tactic, it has ruined other player's game (like getting quickly voted off) because of their past character. Metagaming will result in an immediate court-martial. COURT-MARTIAL If you are to be found breaking any of the above rules, you will be put to court-martial. These were military courts that would deal with soldiers who broke the rules (deserting, criminal acts, stealing). After you have been caught breaking the rules, the host will PM 5 random members in the game. They will decide your fate with a Yes/No vote. Found guilty, you will be sentenced to death. Found not-guilty, you are free. Be careful! Guilty members will not be replaced by the reserves. Lastly, Have a ball Character List: Pvt. Alex Gierdieu (Alex the Great) Pvt. After an intense discussion, the men of the 42nd regiment convicted Private Dan Gale (def), also the brother of Private Wilson Gale (WhiteFang), as a deserter. Once the grave was dug, there was no hesitation in bringing him in front of the firing squad... With their duty done and a sad result as Private Dan Gale was honoured, the soldiers went to bed for the night, curious as to what will happen during the night and the coming day... ******** The day has ended and def has been convicted. Please send in your Night Actions, preferably by tomorrow night. I will most likely be leaving Friday (for certain, this time!), so I'll try my best to get a complete night and start the next day as soon as possible.

"Vote: Private Dan Gale (def)! Wait, I can't vote? Awww, but everybody else was having so much fun! 12 votes are necessary to convict a deserter...and our vote currently now is... Private Alain Entaine (Alice) - 4 votes (TinyPiesRUs, Captain Genaro) Private Dan Gale (def) - 14 votes (Alex the Great, BigCam, Bob the Construction Man, def, Dragonator, General Armendariz, iamded, MetroiD, pedro, Quarryman, Rick, Roncanator, Sandy, Shadows) CONVICTED Lieutenant Pedro Pellcan (pedro) - 1 vote (Alice) Non-voters - 14 (def, New Right, Tanotrooper, Whitefang) And so...oh, my! My dear Pvt. Dan Gale, I'm sorry to say, but there are enough votes here to convict you! To not receive the Provost General's wrath, we must execute you, I'm afraid. I dearly hope you are a deserter! Lieutenant, form a detail and have two men dig a grave! We have a dozen bullets to put into a deserter!" -Captain Qocél-
-
There's one rule I forgot, which is odd because I've been big about it in the making of this game. Sandy and one other made the big offense: NO METAGAMING! Let it influence your own decisions but DO NOT bring it here! Games should not be based off of other games and should be within their own respect! Since I didn't write this rule, which I should have, Sandy will be let free, since it would be unfair. However, the next offender will be put to Court-Martial, with no delay at all. With that out of the way, it is exciting the quick movement recently Also, another note, (You don't have to adhere to it), can we get rid of potato messages? I'm much more favorable towards a letter, it seems more authentic. Plus, who wants messages on their potatoes?? Don't they get eaten and all?
-
"Unfortunately, my dear Lieutenant Pellcan, convicted soldiers are sent straight to firing squad, where they'll get a dozen bullets, rather than words, put into them." -Captain Qocél- "'Infection' and 'Prohibition', Pvt. Yellman? Why, those books have been banned by our Government! Looks like I'll have to put in a report to the Provost General that one of the sutlers are selling banned books." "Anyway, let's see the markings: 12 votes are necessary to convict a deserter...and our vote currently now is... Provost Guard Mason Dalese (MetroiD) - 1 vote (def) Private Alain Entaine (Alice) - 4 votes (pedro, Alex the Great, TinyPiesRUs, Roncanator) Private Dan Gale (def) - 1 vote (MetroiD) And...what? 'I vote for Captain Qocel!'?? That's not even the proper voting format (seen in The Rules) nor can we vote the Provost General's replacement of Captain Lecoq! Anyway, let's see who has not voted... Non-voters - 14 (Alice, BigCam, Bob the Construction Man, Captain Genaro, Dragonator, General Armendariz, iamded, New Right, Quarryman, Rick, Shadows, Stash2sixx, Tanotrooper, Whitefang) ...oh, what's happening by the bridge?" A soldier screaming is heard by the river...http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4040/4515368483_d28be03de0_o.jpg[/img] "Don't worry, I got him!" -Private Tulón- Crack "Ahhhhhh!" "Sorry for the disturbance, Captain Qocél, it would appear that a member of the 3rd Regiment attempted a desertion. A rather poor one, I must add." -Private Tulón- "I am, then, glad that the Provost General put the 53rd Guards on the duty to prevent these desertions. You are doing a fine job. Though, it may seem like such a thing will happen to us if we do not convict today. By my pocket watch, it would seem we have until the afternoon tomorrow to do so. In this order, let's get to it!" -Captain Qocél-
-
"Captain Qocél, I'm here to report that the 24 hour probation is over and the 42nd Regiment may begin voting. I hope you do vote very soon. That Provost General is a toughie." -Private Tulón- "Thank you, private!" -Captain Qocél- "Oh, no! The sausages are being in the running out! I'll have to be in the getting of more!" -Private Shadón- "I'm afraid that will be very difficult. New orders has put a, I guess you could say, 'embargo' on the camps. The only things you'll be receiving are rations of salted pork or beef, and the other goodies in there, and heavily scanned items sent from home. We have to take every precaution, I must regret to say." -Private Tulón-
-
The soldier's stomachs rumble as the sausages sizzle on the pans near the fire.

Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 2 In the dark night, somebody is rolling a barrel. Who knows what it is. Whispering to himself quietly, "Hehe, this'll sure do a good number on the no good Captain." Planting the keg in Captain Lecoq's tent, the soldier makes a line of some black grain and lights it. He runs away. Far away. BOOM! The poor Captain didn't have a chance. The blast wakes up almost the entire regiment, who run to help, but find it is much too late. All that is left are the ashes and his bicorn. Lieutenant Pellman notices that the Captain's backpack still survives. "Perhaps we can find out his loyalty with his back pack!" "After looking through his backpack, I'm sad to say that our beloved Captain Lecoq was indeed an Honoured soldier." Before they can grieve anymore, the Provost General gallops towards the men. "What's happened?" "Sir, the Captain is dead! And furthermore he was an Honoured!" -Lieutenant Pellman "A darn shame. Well, then, I guess since everybody is up, we might as well start the day. And this is a warning to all of you. Fail to vote off a person tonight, and the consequences will be dire. I will send you a new captain to your regiment, as required by the Department of War. Dismissed!" -Provost General- With empty stomachs, the soldiers go to make breakfast. It was not long, though, until their new captain arrived. "Hello 42nd Regiment! Captain Qocél reporting for duty! Let's get these deserters!" -Captain Qocél- "Do all of the Captains look the same?" questioned one soldier. Computer Game - Napoleon: Total War
Scouty replied to Sir Wellington's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It's a lot of fun, I must say! There are a lot of interesting things happening in there that provides for a very good playing experience! I'd recommend it -
As the soldiers mumble about what they're going to do, they soon realize that the day has gone by very fast and that not a single vote has been cast. The Provost General checks in with the Guard. "What goes, guard? How is it going in the 42nd camp?" - Provost General "It goes bad, sir. Progress has gone with absolutely nothing. I can hardly blame them, they have not much evidence to go on. They are also abuzz about a killed soldier, or should I say dispatcher, of the 32nd Regiment. They seem to take it very curiously. All I see is just a poor dispatcher who saw too much and the killer could not risk it. What he saw? Who knows. A meeting, perhaps? He does go around and about. That's about all, sir" - Private Tulón "Dear...! I'll have to have a word with them!" The Provost General rides to the 42nd camp to address the men, who assemble on him. "You have failed me! If not that you had little to work with, I'd have you flogged! Or perhaps worse. Captain! Get your men ready for Taps. It's almost [checks his watch] 10 at night. Hold a peaceful night and you better move along in the next day." -Provost General "Yes sir! Drummer! Play Taps, the call for lights out and all in their tents, preferably sleeping! Roll call is at 7 in the morning, you better all be there!" -Captain Lecoq With no progress, the soldiers retired into their tents, disgruntled that a day was lost, because of a lack of evidence. Perchance some will result from the night? Only the twilight hours will tell... ************ Anyone with night actions, please send them to me within 48 hours of this post. Failure to do so will mean you lose your night action for the night. If you do not have a night action, enjoy your rest. Day 2 will continue soon. Note from the host: I'm expecting travels this weekend, so night actions sent as soon as possible will be the difference of Day 2 being released Thursday night, Friday morning, or Monday afternoon.

Happy Birthday WhiteFang!! Hope it was great !

Give me the proper flogging!

One of the guards approached Captain Lecoq. "Captain Lecoq, Private Tulón of the 53rd Guards. Permission to approach?" "You may." -Captain Lecoq "Private Camon is correct, we believe the body floated down in the past few hours. We saw no such body down when we took our posts. We made a proper burial for him." "Thank you, Private." -Captain Lecoq "Ah, yes! I have orders from the Provost General. He wanted me to relay to you that you may begin the voting process. The necessary probation has past. That is all!" -Private Tulón walks back to his post. The soldiers of the 42nd return to their work.
-
"I wish we could, but we've been at a stalemate ever since the Battle of Willow's Creek. That was just a few months ago. Plus, with the coming winter, I doubt either of us will have any strength to dredge on with war in the harsh winter. At least we've got the deserters confined!" -Captain Lecoq
-
After a fullfilling sausage and egg breakfast, Pvt. Oult went to the river to fill his canteen and wash his face. Upon reaching near the banks, he discovered the body of a dead soldier! "Murder! Murder! A soldier has been killed!" screamed Pvt. Oult as he ran back to camp. "Murder!? What do you mean!?" yelled one soldier. "Is it one of our own??" questioned another. "Wont somebody think of the drummer!" cried one soldier. Running to the men, Captain Lecoq took charge of the situation. "Stop all your yelling! Quiet! Pvt. Oult, who was murdered?" "He was not one of our own. I think he belonged to the 5th Regiment. His throat was slit!" Lieutenant Pellcan interjected, "Captain, he was here to pass down the news of the Army in the west. I don't know why he was killed." Captain Lecoq ordered again silence and ordered everybody of the 42nd to assemble on him. "Listen! This is obviously the work of the deserters! The poor dispatcher must have saw too much and was killed cowardly by a deserter." "But why don't the deserters just desert!?" questioned one soldier. "If you look around, our encampment is heavily guarded, per the orders from Command. It would seem to be difficult for the deserters to leave with so many guards. Once we all finish breakfast, let's get to work!" The situation looked grim. "Well, it's vote or die, eh?"
