  1. I wish that Lego had decided to make an armored Aragorn for Helm's Deep. But I'm sure we'll get one for the inevitable Minas Tirith set.
  2. I am glad that Lego appears to have abandoned the cheap plastic Battle Packs for this line. Some more Rohirrim would be nice. Also I am very excited for when they tackle ROTK and the Battle of Minas Tirith.
  3. I have never seen Lego go to so much trouble to make new molds and completely new pieces as they have for the LOTR. I am really impressed. They could have reused a lot of weapon molds from earlier Castle themes but instead they made them much more realistic and in line with the movies. These are awesome.
  4. I really like that they finally decided to make the Luke that comes with the Skiff movie accurate. In the movie his vest his grey and his sleeves are black. Glad Lego finally paid attention to that.
  5. There are way too many orcs. I realize that in the books/movies the orcs vastly outnumber the humans. But Lego still needs to give us a few more human soldiers. They should make a companion set to the Orc Forge like a Rohirrim Campsite from ROTK or something to that affect.
  6. After seeing the picture of Helm's Deep actually built I am much more impressed with it than I was originally. The blurry box pictures had made it look small and unimpressive. It looks much bigger and more detailed in the build pictures.
  7. I really like that so many of these sets have legitimate new figures, not just rehashes and figures labelled as "new" because they have a slightly different facial expression. I also like the attention shown to the OT and The Old Republic. I have never been a huge fan of the CW sets and am glad to see only 2 of them.
  8. While these sets look great, there are way too many Uruk-Hai and not enough soldiers of Rohan. I realize that obviously in the movies/books the uruk-hai vastly outnumbered the Rohirrim but it would be nice if either the Uruk-Hai army set or the Helm's Deep sets included a few more of them. Also I cannot wait for sets from The Return of the Kind. Minas Tirith will be epic.
  9. Nothing special here. I'm not really impressed with any of these. I'm glad that Lego has decided to release an OT and PT Battlepack in the same year. But if they're going to do this then they need to do it well. I'm hoping that he X-Wing is an improvement but i'm not holding my breath. The other sets seem pretty standard and don't have a lot of potential for really new or cool figures.
  10. The new helmet for the Death Star Trooper and was appears to be a new gun look really awesome.
  11. This is by far Lego's worst attempt at a Star Wars "playset". It is entirely inaccurate and in general just looks really bad. The Han, Luke, and Leia figures are cool, but other than that the rest of the figures are kind of standard. Lego should have included a Rebel commander and rebel soldier. I'm curios to see the inevitable mod's that are going to come from this. I'm also curious to see how people incorporate this with the last Echo Base. Maybe with some modifications the two can be combined into a decent base.
  12. The mini figures are very cool. I'm glad Lego is expanding the super hero genre beyond Batman. I am not a big fan of the larger figures though. They look too much like Bionicle knockoffs.
  13. Very interesting technique used to make it appear that the man's legs are crossed. Its very creative.
  14. I really like the Panaka. It's a pretty awesome figure. Hopefully it is a sign that Lego will release future sets that include Naboo troopers.
  15. I like the new Dengar. It's definitely more movie-accurate. Its nice to see that Lego is finally making an effort to make things more accurate instead of just using existing pieces and doing the cheap and easy thing.
  16. Like everyone else has said I agree with you to a point. I understand that you want to be totally surprised when you walk into your local toy store and see new sets on the shelf. There's a certain satisfaction and excitement that comes with this. But, like everyone has also said, most people enjoy the spoilers and grainy photos and such. So I would suggest that you just set your bookmark to the forums instead of the frontpage.
  17. It is possible that Lego might be releasing at least one of these figures in the future. The Jango Fett isn't as likely. I don't think they're going to worry too much about tweaking the coloring. The new Padme is probably more likely. I think that the new blasters are a long shot. Lego seems pretty content using the same rifles and two different kinds of blasters for every set and figure.
  18. After seeing the two versions of the ship side-by-side I now think the new one is an improvement. I still wish that Lego would focus on a vehicle that has never been produced instead of the Falcon. But, I have to say that the ship is very detailed. Of course all of the figures are way overused. It would be nice to see some new or different characters.
  19. I'm honestly pretty tired of the multiple Millenium Falcon's that Lego has been releasing. All of them are very similar and besides some cosmetic differences they'e all pretty similar. I would rather have Lego release a different large vehicle that has not been released before.
  20. This is a very interesting looking set. I am not really overjoyed with the figures they included. A rebel officer or two would have been nice. We already have enough Chewbacca's. The set itself looks kind of cool. Its definitely more of an extension of the previous Hoth set than anything else. It's interesting that Lego decided to make a set that by itself isn't super exciting. It's only really cool when combined with the 7666 Hoth Rebel Base. Usually Lego just rehashes old sets.
  21. I am honestly unimpressed with this set on so many levels. The minifig selection is boring and uncreative. The speederbike is one of the worst ones i've ever seen. The tree is neat, but honestly that by itself can't carry the set. I feel like Lego could have done more with an Endor set considering Endor is one of the most underrepresented and under appreciated Star Wars locals when it comes to Legos.
  22. Thanks for the review. The new weapons are very interesting. They look like something from Brickforge, not from Lego themselves. I would love to see them incorporate these new weapon designs into future sets. Hopefully this is a sign that Lego is interested in including a lot more detail into their sets.
  23. I'm not really a fan of the figures included in the Advent Calendar. They really should have included all new figures or at least some exclusive figures.
  24. I'm quite disappointed in the N-1 personally. I feel like there hasn't been any improvements between the original N-1 in 1999 and this one. I feel like they could have made the ship sleeker and the design more streamlined. The figures are nice though. I am still waiting for Lego to release a Naboo guard and not just a pilot.
  25. I would actually love if these sets were released, as I think a lot of other fans would be. There have been way too few OT sets the past few years. I totally understand that the CW is marketable right now because its on TV right now, but the OT has been kind of set on the back burners and ignored in my opinion. Plus all three of those OT sets need makeovers. Of course like everyone else has said there is very little chance of 1 of these, much less all 4, being made this year.
