  1. I down a smelling salt, and wait.
  2. High in the tower, Dyric notches his first arrow, waiting for the enemy to come in range. This was the second time now he would have to fight his own kind. He only hoped it wouldn't happen yet again.
  3. If that's your thinking, boss, why fight at all? It would be better then to just sit back and watch the armies destroy the bridge themselves. No, Nerwen is right. As much as I hate to change leadership this late in the game, the bridge should be our priority. Everything in the area depends on it.
  4. I will stay in the center tower. If any of you younger heroes could use my chain whip, it's yours.
  5. Nothing ever seems to happen on Hoth or Dagobah, except for during Empire Strikes Back. Nothing ever seems to happen on Naboo, except for during the Phantom Menace. Nothing ever seems to happen on Geonosis or Kamino, except for during Attack of the Clones. Just because a planet is quiet most of the time (and let's be honest, most of them should be) doesn't mean they're vital and important to the story.
  6. They've united for freedom. If it weren't for the attack, there'd have been no bloodshed. I switched over once I understood the mechanics a bit better.
  7. Except for the fact that that's not what 'Civil War' is referring to in this case in any way shape or form. I'm honestly wondering if Agents of SHIELD was built to be a one-season deal. It would certainly make sense, considering what's happened. However, unless Graviton and Blizard show up in the last five episodes, it'd be a bit dissapointing, so there may be plans to continue.
  8. I second that motion, boss. You've done us well enough so far, and I can't think of anyone better suited among us.
  9. Is there any confirmation of that at all? Last I checked, with Phase 2 especially everything was pretty up to date.
  10. I suppose I will have to spill the blood of my homeland yet again. If this is about sides, my side is Baltarok's, and I will fight with them.
  11. So this choice will give the heroes a specific side to fight and continue to fight with?
  12. If we're all working together for now, I'll fight the orcs. As much as I respect and agree with their cause, I'd prefer not to spill my own's blood if possible.
  13. Blow up the bridge? Yes, I'm sure that'd settle things down. We'd only have the revolt of the High Kingdoms for cutting off their new supply route, and outrage from Baltarok over blocking their route to freedom. We'd only have a brewd war trying to erupt, but unable to. We'd only have a completely unresolved war that would only resume later. Cool off their heads tomorrow? Things like these do not cool off in a day. If we blew the bridge, we'd only have a larger, messier problem.
  14. And how do you suggest we make peace, Hoke? I've made it clear it's option I still strive for, I'm just increasingly less sure how possible it is anymore. The orcs seek freedom from the High Kingdoms which have attacked them, and the Kingdoms are led by fear against the orcs they've attacked, and will continue attacking out of fear. As Valentino said, it's a vicious cycle which will continue to repeat itself. What do suggest that will appease both parties forever? Even a massacre today will simply lead to another someday else.
  15. I hope not. I, personally, felt Iron Man 3 ended with a good cap to the Tony Stark arc. Having another one just feels like unnecessary pandering, to me. Like having Wolverine be the star of yet another movie.
  16. What I feared, Nerwen, is the three of our groups coming to blows. What I feared was a massacre on all sides of the war. Something that, like you, I hope to avoid. I turn to Hoke. What Grishnod wants is liberation, and while I disagree that torching the High Kingdoms is the way to do, I do feel that Baltarok has more than earned its freedom. With all the cards laid out, it is difficult to disagree that the High Kingdoms are at fault here. I was wrong about them, I thought they'd be wiser than to evoke open war. However, the time for such sentiments has passed, and we need to figure out how to deal with the situation at hand. I agree that the return of Valetino would do much to end this war, I believe at this point it may be too late. A full-scale orc attack on the High Kingdoms would do us no good, however - it would confirm all of the High Kingdoms' suspicions, and they'd unite in an even greater attack that would wipe out Baltarok. Both sides are ready for war, and there seems to be no way to stand them down at this point. Like Nerwen said, what we might need is a force at the middle, warding them both off, however even that is a short-term solution. ...I wish I had answers here, but I don't, I admit that much. I do, however, believe that peace is still faintly possible if we try.
  17. Seeing a party full of people he recognized, Dyric's face turns to horror. This is exactly what I was afraid of.
  18. We're here to preserve a culture. Halting the invasion merely goes hand-in-hand.
  19. For me it would definitely depend on how it's done. I feel more and more people keep trying to bring things back to Tatooine because 'hey look, we're on Tatooine, it's cool!" where Tatooine was basically made with the intention of being a desolate planet in the middle of nowhere that few people would go to.
  20. I can't afford to think like that, Haldor. It's possible they've signed on to the wrong side, but that can hardly be their fault - they where chosen for that quest, we were chosen for ours. It's how the die is cast. I'm willing to fight for the freedom of Baltarok, but I'm less willing to kill heroes who are up against us by pure chance. ...You can be sure that if it's the way things will have to be to ensure peace, I will do it. But I am less and less convinced that we are in fact ensuring peace.
  21. So you're ready for this? Fighting other heroes? Dyric frowns, but downs a mead. I can't say I am.
  22. I could see the MCU doing Civil War right, but I think it would be down the road so they can set up more people, and probably take more than one movie. It was a very big event, after all.
  23. This. I'm almost a bit annoyed that they spoiled Winter Soldier for anyone who didn't view it early, but there really is no other way around it, and Winter Soldier still has a degree of twists and turns.
  24. Agents of SHIELD was again fantastic tonight.
  25. If this is how it must be, than let it be. Dyric gave a weary look over the army.
