  1. Suddenly the final Wren battle makes sense.
  2. Is it ETHER AFTER ETHER, by Atkate Kinson?
  3. You really have no idea how long I've been waiting to introduce this into the official continuity.
  4. Oh well it’s very simple. See, say I touch you. While doing so, I must say the word ‘Tig’. Now you must do the same to another person, in this case most likely me. When you do so, you must say the word ‘Tic’- unless the person you are tagging is over six feet tall, then you must say ‘Tic Tig’. If there person is under 4 feet three inches, you must walk like an elephant for exactly three seconds. If you walk like an elephant any more or less than three seconds, I can ‘Tic’ you again. After someone’s been ‘Tigged’ they must touch someone saying ‘Tog’. If the third person hits the first person in the order he must say ‘Tog Tic’. If he hits the second one, he must say ‘Tig Tog’. If he hits an entirely new person, he must say ‘Toc’. One is not allowed to ‘Tic’ when they ‘Toc’ nor say a ‘Tig’ after a ‘Toc’. If the ‘Tocced’ person hits the second person in the order, he must say ‘Toc Tog’ and then the person he’s ‘Toc Togged’ must go from ‘Tig’. If he hits the third person, he must say ‘Tic Tag’ and that person goes from Tic. If he hits the first or a new person, he must say ‘Tac’. If one ‘Tacs’ right after a ‘Tic’ the next person must ‘Toe’, and that person then ‘Tags’. Furthermore, if the ‘Tacced’ person is ‘Togged’ by someone with a name started with the letter ‘A’, he is ‘Atacced’ and removed from the game. ‘Tacced’ people are only allowed to hit someone while saying ‘Toc Tog’. ‘Tog Togged’ people must then hit someone while saying ‘Tic Tag’, or choose to switch it up by saying ‘Tac Tig’. ‘Tac Tigged’ people must then go back to the beginning of the order. ‘Tig Tagged’ people can only hit people who have been ‘Tic Tigged’. ‘Tic Tigged’ people can hit ‘Tig Toc’ or ‘Toc Tigged’ people. These people can only hit ‘Tocced’ people, who then go back to the beginning of the order. So, shall we play this game, or would you rather do me a favour?
  5. Krinkins examines the crossbow for several minutes. Yeah, I could probably identify this. But I don't work for free, I'm sure you understand. You guys look like decent but poor folks, so I'll give you a choice. You can do me a favour, or we can go through a game of Tic. I'll explain to you the rules if you want, to guide your choice.
  6. I observe, apparently not as fast as this as Nerwen. Like I said in Quest 64, I'm gone Thursday-Sunday. I'll try to post as often as possible, but if I can't control of Dyric is left to CM.
  7. Eyric leads them into their quarters, and the party rests. The next morning, they get up, the sun peering in the windows and glistening on the beautiful city of Duplovia. Eyric rises the heroes, and they set out to the market with Quellir. Eyric ushers the group to the man to the right. Krinkins, it's been some time. Too long, Eyric. What brings the Prefect of Duplovia to my little stand? Business. Eyric turns to the heroes. Krinkins here is the best information broker this side of the Crystalline Sea. You're too kind. I'm just a man of Bothe, after all. The men of Bothe or renowned for their ability to acquire information. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. Thalion, you mind showing Krinkins that crossbow? QM Note: On Thursday I'm gone for a band trip until Sunday. I'll try to post as often as I can, but in the meantime, feel free to RP!
  8. I've always preferred the non-magic classes. Don't ask me why, because I don't know.
  9. It's definitely a valid point, and my future quests will definitely have some expansion of both races I've created for Duplovia. I think the key difference between Heroica and most fantasy stories is the sheer number of people involved. There's at the very least a dozen or two QMs, and over 50 players, if not up to 75 or 100 (these numbers are total speculation). With that many people directly involved, there's bound to be a large influx of ideas. It's part of the reason Heroica is still going strong.
  10. ...I see. Have you any idea where we might find this contract?
  11. Would it be possible for you to tell us what the contract contained? Perhaps we could speak to Mr. Hinkwell about the situation.
  12. At the same time, though, I'd expect said far-off lands to have very different species represented, due to the fact that they're on entirely different continents.
  13. Mr. Hinckwell did not speak of anything to this regard. It would seem that the letter did not go through.
  14. I leave the investigation up to you. In earnest, it was the Prefect who suggested hiring you, not I, so I am most interested in watching your progress - we may need you in the future. In any case, the identity of who's hiring these assassins must be found, and at the moment this crossbow seems your best lead.
  15. Intriguing. We are, of course, about to sign a peace treaty. I've heard of these Hidden Skulls. They seem to be a flighty group, refusing the attack either of the kings directly. We will look into this 'Archer'. For now, if there's no other questions, I suggest you folks rest. You've had a busy day, after all! Brickington is carried away. He is revived, but he will be Weakened for the next battle.
  16. I haven't seen those markings before, but I know somebody in the marketplace who does. Why don't you start from the beginning, I would be interested in hearing all you have learned thus far.
  17. The Phibians weren't ever supposed to show up. When the crew of Quest 64 decided to head to Newharbour (something I didn't see coming) the Phibian was a character I had made long ago just for fun, and I figured I might as well throw it in. I may incorporate them into future Duplovia quests somehow, because they just amuse me from an aesthetic point of view.
  18. Alright, follow close. The group enters the throne room. Ah, Heroes! Come in, come in! King Somaril gives a brief glance to the Knocked Out Brickington. We should have plenty enough care for your friend there. Please, come in!
  19. Well, ma'am, we've been hired by Mr. Hinckwell to catch up on your fees. He is very disturbed that you have not payed your rent.
  20. After our war against a group of Magic-Users, everyone's been a bit on edge. You shouldn't get any trouble. At least from most of us. Anyways, if there's nothing else, should we head inside?
  21. I figured I might as well reward ingenuity. And then in turn 'reward' them for lack of common sense. Whatever works, I guess.
  22. This is Prefect R- Eyric Rone. If you call me 'Prefect' again I'll be obliged to show you just how much authorization the name gives me. Eyric looks over the group for several moments. He nods approvingly at Sarge. A Rogue, huh? Good to know another of us has managed to slip behind Harbrid's Walls. Rone, you know- You think I don't? Just don't tell the King I said anything, we'll be fine. Eyric turns to Thalion, a strange look on his face. What are you, a Mage?
  23. Tell me about it. Back in my homeland, we didn't go around kicking doors, but it seems to be in abundance here. Speaking of which, we were hired by Mr. Hinckwell. Is it true you have not payed your rent?
  24. Brickington, not learning from Alexander's mistake, manages to dig through the stone as well. He falls through the gap, and hits the ground hard. He is KO'd for the moment. The rest of the party laughs at him, but feels too uncomfortable on the unstable bridge to sleep. Thalion looks over the crossbow, but can't seem to determine its origin. Indeed. To the castle! The group go down the stairs back into the streets, and haul Brickington with them to the castle. At the doors to the throne room stand a cloaked man. So you're the heroes, huh?
