  1. True, but the CP parchment is alot broader so you can hardly notice the blandness of the background pict.
  2. It appears everything I wanted to say has been said and solved already. The borders between the parchmet looks great now! The only thing I still don't like is the background picture. Still a bit to bland to me. My suggestion would be waves till the bottom or exactly the same as on Classic-Pirates. Ah well, it does look quite good as it is now though! Thanks! *sweet*
  3. Pirates... Never satisfied!! :-D I see you made a good use of minifigs. I like how the scarf looks. Very funny how you made those pesky pirates sneak upon their Captain. The vig is well built, my only remark would be the wall looks more like a wall of a building rather than the wall of a cabin to me. Nice!
  4. How brilliantly excecuted :-D The sinking flag is hilarious! In some way it even looks like the pirate is enjoying the sight of it. In a matter of speaking, a bignette, vignette or diorama is still a MOC. You're not gonna tell me a vignette I have built is not My own creation! :-P
  5. Col. Whipstick would be the right man to ask ;-)
  6. My hyperlinks are unbreakable!!! >:-( >:-( Whoops.. I meant.. It works fine for me Mr Phes! :-P
  7. This really shows how MOCs can go through an evolution process. Excellent example! The changes you made from version to version are quite dramatical. Any special reasons why V1 differs from V2 en V2 from V3 so much? Or did you just feel like it? :-P
  8. Vraiment fantastique TT! Wonderful job! You managed to capture the story very well in this film. Dramatic fights and sad end.. The music really helped making the fights extra dramatic. And also good use of the Avatar faces! And also congratulations on getting it on the school site!! (oh, I just said exactly what TinyPiesRus said.. sorry! :-$ )
  9. Or Horatio! I made some piratey minifigs using Non-Pirate minifig torsos and heads: From left to right: -A pretty girl with the queen Leonarda torso from the first Knight's Kingdom line, and the head from the adventurers girl. -An older pirate with the Sam Sinister (that's his name, right?) torso, from the Orient Expedition line and the head from king Leo , also from the first Knight's Kingdom line. -A pirate with the Severus Snape torso from the Harry Potter line and a bandit head from the Wild West line -A real Dutch Hero! Michiel Adrieanszoon de Ruyter, with a soldier cuirras torso from the first Knights Kingdom line, and a Rascus head. (Dutch pride on!) -Captain Red Hair, (Red Beard's son) using a Vampire torso from the Studios line and a stunt man head, also from the Studios line. -Another pretty girl with a castle torso and a queen Leonarda head, from the first Knights Kingdom line. Brings awesome variation in the pirates world! *sweet*
  10. A combination in HTML sais I. A monthly newsletter and a bulletins for important stuff during the month sounds perfectly fine to me. I'd take HTML for a loading a PDF file could take some time loading on some computers (like mine, for instance), while it's a relatively small file.
  11. I think the URL in your signature is not up to date anymore, it's probably still the one from before the server switch. All you need to do is to update the URL. :-) (I believe :-P )
  12. My entry for the History, Adventure and Pirates section is in! It's called Pirate Captain, but he's not just a pirate captain! He is the son, of Captain Red Beard, whom we met in the past Pirate sets. He is here to bring back the most holy Pirates theme!! X-D Enjoy!
  13. Very well, here's my entry for the History, Adventure and PIRATES section. I vaguely remember buying some Playmobil "set" wich is similar to impulse sets a long while ago. I very loosely based this on that set. The set itself is quite simple and doesn't contain a lot of pieces. We've had Captain Red Beard in the past already, so I chose for a new pirate captain, Captain Red Beard's son: Captain Red Hair!! (Take THAT captain Green Hair!! :-P ) A new outfit but yet with the traditional Hook, peg leg and Skull and Crossbones hat. (rubbish box art...) Another shot: 14 pieces + Captain: Including everything a starting pirate captain could wish for!
  14. No problem mate ;-) I'll move this to the General Discussion forum.
  15. My apologies for not commenting on this one yet, must have missed it in some way.. :-$ This is extroardinarily wonderful SlyOwl! You really are a master! It's great to see the wide variation in minifigs and parts. You sure made good use of alot of parts I wouldn't even think of (like the exploding soup). Almost every aspect of this MOC is very well made! Certainly deserves it's frontpaging! Excellent!
  16. This geezer's torso would make a nice conquistador. (although I'm more a fan of the seperate cuiras) And I'm pretty sure this Dumbledore robe could make something piratey too
  17. These are indeed beautiful TheBrickster, but what strikes me, is how shiny and clean those bricks are. It's confusing, are they MLCadded or are they real? *wacko* Astonashing.
  18. Sounds interesting UB, I'll try to enter this one. Can't you make a perfect torture device on a 4x4 base?? THIS 4x4 base?: Pure evil *sing*
  19. I believe only officially finished MOCs make the frontpage (although I would rather think Classic Pirates frontpage), ;-). And it's certainly not dissapointing! This is an outstanding MOC. That roof is just awesome, very handy technique. And no, I don't care those questions were directed to Phes. :-P All the SNOT must have been mind-boggling. Marvelous! I shall comment on this more when the new pictures are up.
  20. cove seamonster shipyard treasure island oh yes, this is gonna be one long list *sweet*
  21. If we have galleon, man-o-war and schooner, what about the other types? Brig Corvette Frigate Merchantman Ship of the line Sloop VOC-ship That's all I can think about for now, but there's probably more! :-)
  22. Quite so, it wouldn't make a lot of sense adding active projects for they would change continuously. :-)
  23. Awesome ship, great combination of two. But what I found even more immpressive is the looks of it in the first picture. Great graphics. Looks almost real! *y*
  24. Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day. :-)
