I surfed wikipedia and other sites for a while, and got the confirmation that the Acheron is based on the USS Constitution, so I will do a major change these days. A recent trip to a PAB wall allowed me to build again, so stay tuned for another update!

The hats remind me of the russian fur hats, the horses look nice, but the cossacks have too short legs...

In 2004 there was this big display table where this thread is about, unfortunatly there wasn't something like that last year :-( Like I said, I forgot my camera the first time, so last year, I reminded taking my camera more but there was no pirate display last year :'-( If I get there again, I want to take my MOCs and get them on a pirate display, so pirates get the honour the deserve!!!

In part I, I added sails to see how it would look, not bad at all! But I want a more realistic material for the sails this time, and yes I'll probarly use the same sail configuration this time, although I won't add a spritsail this time...

I think you can't have A SNOT, since it is a building technique, you may think that Studs Not On Top refers to a brick with no studs on the top, but it it isn't, here is an example of a snot technique: As you can see, the studs are NOT facing the top.

Well done mate, the overal look is much better on this way! But I am curious about this image. The knob on the cannon is black, I've never seen a cannon with a black knob, is it normal or did you paint it? In case you did, why?

I have got one with black strings and one with white strings, but they both got the black belt....I think it is customized or digitaly changed...

What a nice building! The lamp on the brown row boat looks very strange, I can hardly see where it is made from, it looks like there some screw drivers in it.... His figs are nice too, although this guy doesn't remind me of Jack Sparrow at all...

It's a three master... I hope so, but it does need 1 or 2 center sections, maybe we finally get big black or gray mid pieces!

I haven't got any tall red slopes :'-( I tried to slope the back of the stern, but if I'd do that, there woul'd be no space left for the name tag, I am trying to find a solution but I still haven't got one...

Mister Phes!! SirScott made a lot of ships, and every ship has his own stern! So which one do you mean? And does that means that you like the Acheron's stern??

If you said choke, I would agree (although you don't need a shooting cannon to choke in a cone) But poke an eye out? I think the cannons used in technic, EXO Force and 4+ pirate sets can do a lot more damage, even with the soft top. Well, like the answer on ImperialScouts quote, I think the technic cannons can do a lot more damage, so you can say that I'm serious...
