Minifig scale won't happen. That would be like $2,000. Well, its precisely what they did for Barad-dur. -

My guess is the Minas Tirith will be $500. Judging by the minifig count, if it is at all correlated with Barad-Dur, it will be a Minas Tirith that is downsized like Barad-Dur, which is one of the reasons for a small minifig count. My guess is the set will be a partial rip off of the following IDEAS submission: Minas Tirith | LEGO® Ideas About 4,400 parts that submission was. So $500 for 2026 is definitely on the table even though a Minas Tirith. It is possible that the Minas Tirith will be a section like Rivendell, but I think it will get the shrunken down Barad-Dur treatment. -
The whole building-blocks hobby is missing something like this. Not even LEGO's growing competitors have a Samurai/Japanese castle playset. LEGO has Ninjago, but comes nowhere near to filling the void that your Ideas submission would fill. I think your set NEEDS to be selected. I hope it gets selected. I would definitely buy. EDIT: How many pieces is it?

The 75301 was fantastic scale-wise. The problem is that the rear of the model was extremely ugly. If it was not so ugly, then I would consider it "best." -

Agree that the Slave 1 is downsized to a damaging extent. The Star Destroyer is another one. The 2014 one was a great size. I am concerned about the next playscale AT-AT. A new one may be even more disproportioned to snow speeders. Hopefully the high regarded 2020 AT-AT is proof to LEGO that a new one should not be downsized. -

We will know most of what we need when we see the cockpit being used. Would be nice to have that leaked. FYI, Ninjago sets are getting bigger. Star Wars getting smaller. LOL. Not complaining as I prefer Ninjago. Just pointing it out. We.re also getting more Ninjago per year, too. -

Regarding the MTT. if it can only rack 10 droids, it will be disappointing. I would hope we could supplement the set with our own droids for it to rack at least 16 to be a more convincing MTT. The 2007 MTT could rack 16 droids. In any case, if it racks 10 only, it will still be much better than the 2014 MTT. Regarding the Turbo Tank, it needs to be able to hold an adequate amount of troops. The 2016 CTT did not have adequate space in the interior; it was cluttered. and that was its biggest flaw and why it is a bad set. The 2006 CTT could hold a bunch of troops. This is the funny thing. LEGO Star Wars should be better than it was 20 years ago, without exception; however, this is not the case. We have two beloved vehicles coming out (MTT and CTT) and it seems like the variants of these vehicles 20 years ago will end up being vastly superior. This should not be the case. Ever. -
Words Disney has never uttered, unfortunately.

Yes, looks like we agree. There is HBO Game of Thrones and then there is Game of Thrones. There is Disney Star Wars, and then there is Star Wars. Nothing being debated. Just saying there is Star Wars and Disney Star Wars, which we seemed to agree on. The canon is what the creator says is canon. -

Episodes 1 - 6 is literally the canon. For example, you couldn't possibly proclaim "Star Wars isn't about George Lucas. That's not who we care about. It's about characters like Anakin/Vader, Luke, Leia, Qui-Gon, etc." Such a proclamation does not make sense as George, and any person he may have received input from to flesh things out (his wife?), is who birthed the characters and gave them the lives you may have enjoyed. Compare/contrast George's Luke and Disney's Luke. Such a comparison should not be needed, philosophically, but it illustrates how jarring it can be when the rights to an IP is sold. Nothing about this is controversial. To be clear, my favorite Star Wars is Knights of the Old Republic. I am OK with it not being canon. I actually considered Star Wars, on the balance, to be bad until Bioware (one of the best story tellers until about 2008) came a long and gave us a Star Wars story. -

Yes, because a court says the Fortune 500 company legally purchased the right to use the creation of the artist, while further barring that artist from ever using his/her own creation to expand his/her story (should he/she choose). You are speaking in a contract-law sense. This is why we have Star Wars and Disney Star Wars (Disney being the modifier). The problem with Disney's canon is that it will always lack the thing that matters, for better or worse, and that is George Lucas. The analysis would be the same if Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo formed a joint venture to buy Star Wars from Disney because they have always wanted to create a movie based on KotOR. Disney's Star Wars Canon = Star Wars + (Star Wars Skin)Disney Stories You can call it head canon. It's not. Episode 1 - 6 is the canon. -

Correct. EU and KotOR are not canon. Does not make sense for them to be. Just like it would not make sense to consider seasons 7 and 8 of Game of Thrones on HBO to be canon. Those seasons were written by HBO. -

Technically, the art comes from the art's artist. LotR comes from Tolkien, Star Wars from George Lucas, Harry Potter from JK Rowling. All Disney did was convince George to sell his legal right to using what he created so that Disney can put George's Star Wars skin over their own stories. In short, a Fortune 500 company bought the rights to an IP so they can place a skin over their own stories. A skin like in Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, or Overwatch. The Disney company can now use the names, the sounds, and even the lightsabers, exclusively. The skin does not make Star Wars, George does (for better or worse). I suppose a counter argument could be that Filoni is George's protege (he's not, but let's assume he is) and that whatever Filoni writes is also canon. Well, let's assume that you studied art under Picasso for your entire life up until the point he passed away. And let's say you made an art piece precisely as you believe Picasso would have created it. It's not a Picasso, it's an AD_Bricks. Of course, I am being generous with my example as Filoni has never tried to make a work of Star Wars precisely as George would have. Hence episodes 1-6 are the canon. I think two names from the franchise are appropriate: Star Wars and Disney Star Wars. -

Here's the funny thing about LEGO and tariffs. Most industries will adjust their prices up, as a result of tariffs, but they will also adjust them down. You will see this with major appliances like laundry machines and refrigerators. Also consumer electronics like TV's and phones. You will also see it in the auto industry. The prices will go down when (if) the tariffs are removed. There are a few companies though that will NOT reduce their prices. One of them is LEGO. LEGO has had a pricing issue for years, and if you're only going to be upset about pricing now, you're a little late. If you knew the budget for making models like the UCS Slave 1, you'd ask what the heck LEGO is doing trying to save 3 cents on young Boba's legs. LEGO is not a benevolent company. It knows that the Star Wars LEGO fans are almost exclusively adult now, with more disposable income than fans of other themes (on average) and will pay whatever price for a set, and then buy a second copy of the set to keep sealed. You seriously think the Desert Skiff on shelves now is priced in some way that correlates with the budget required to manufacturer the set? No. They overpriced it to a point that they believe will still sell, and this was before tariffs. Lastly, multiple countries are actually in a tariff war with China, so it is possible many countries see price increases. It is possible Australia may be the worst off since they, too are in a tariff war with China and all their LEGO stuff comes almost exclusively from China (correct me if I'm wrong). It all depends on if things escalate. I personally do not expect tariffs to hit LEGO in Australia. -

The problem with Clone Turbo Tanks is that... Well.... They are very ugly as LEGO builds. I would pass for that reason. Hopefully the new ones looks good. -

I agree. They should have used the correct name: Jango Fett's Boba Fett's Starship. I've heard a threshold of "150 dollars." I want confirmation, too. I also want to know about sales or quadruple points etc. Double points and a GWP is not enough for me to participate this May. I need sales or a huge Honey cash back offer. I think one or two years ago Honey stacked with big cash back offers. -

They are close to in scale actually. The Slave 1 is not a personal craft like Obi-Wan's starfighter. Slave 1 is actually huge. I know it's now always portrayed as such on screen. The Slave 1 may be used as a personal craft, but that's only because it was re-purposed. -

Favreau was done with Star Wars after Lucasfilm took parts of Mando Season 3 and inserted them in to Book of Boba. Reports are that Favreau never intended for Grogu to leave Luke. So to answer your question, it would appear that the creatives did not have creative freedom. So I suppose, at least Favreau, has an excuse. But apparently Favreau is just playing out his final 2 years or so of his contract and wants nothing to do with Lucasfilm any longer. I know people at the company, and it is a toxic environment. Though that should not be surprising as Disney studios have known to have a toxic environment for decades. -

Not sure how everyone else feels, but I am going to be extremely bummed out if we do not get a UT-AT. We've all wanted galactic marines/troopers, but I'm not as big of a "fiend" for minifigures as others might be. I mean, I am excited for these new clones for sure, but I have never been one to collect custom clones are get hung up on helmet holes etc (though we should have cloth kamas, 100%). The though of an official UT-AT is mind blowing. Anyone else nervous about what the set might be, or is everyone just about the minifigures? The only other build I could see myself being onboard with is a large bridge build, as LEGO Star Wars needs more location builds. Would make for a top-tier play set. I suppose a bridge with a low part count that uses large pieces is on the table. -

The people that make the decision at Disney/Lucasfilm to not use "Slave 1" is generally made by middle management. Most bad decisions are made by middle management. This is because they shoehorn their sensibilities in to projects without paying any mind to anything else since they don't have to answer to shareholders or have a boat-load of stock. -

We still don't know what kind of set it is going to be, Bad End or The Shire in general. Still early. I am GUESSING it will be Bag End, in which case it will have less pieces and be cheaper. Though was my speculation from the start, even when the initial rumor said it would be a Shire set. -

You guys think LEGO will give us a Smaug again? Would be another mold, or a very big buildable form? I was looking at the Ninjago Source Dragon build, and it's quite sturdy. Got me to thinking, LEGO may never give us a molded form of him again. Perhaps release him as a standalone $200 set with some figures?
