LEGO Ninjago 2021
captain jari replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
There where a few times when putting gardens together and not paying attention to the instruction two carefully I ended up using larger part like a 6x1 plate instead of two 3x1 plates and then had to undo my mistake when I got to a latter instruction (still with the same bag of parts) that needed the 6x1 to work. so it seemed really strange to my that they didn't replace the two 3x1 with a 6x1 when there were multiple of the both types in the same color in the same bag. being in the same bag it would be even easier to change then if the parts where used further apart during building. -
LEGO Ninjago 2021

that caught me up a few times, it was really weird when in the same bag there were already a few of the larger plates that would work. The only reasonable explanation for this is that lego internally prices some 6x1 plates more than 2 3x1 plates. but that is kind of strange as 2 smaller parts take more plastic than one large one. -

It would be nice if they end up making a lego legacy line like ninjago legacy, redoing old sets with modern building styles. -
LEGO Ninjago 2021

I bought them when I first saw the garden rumours this last summer as I knew a third set would cause the price to skyrocket. -

I was planning on picking up gardens today but it seams the checkout function of the lego site isn't working. -

As long as the next bounty after the hydro bounty is the space bounty I'm fine with it. -
Ninjago City Expansion wishlist

A modulor with a sky train would be really cool but I am not sure how they would manage to make it interconnect with future sets. -

I would love to see either a space or underwater season. -
Love this set and I wish Lego would make more like it. I just have one issue, I can't for the life of me get the front cockpit to close fully it seams to me that the to clips (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=92280) that hold the cockpit down are sightly out of tolerances with the clip being to far from the edge. as any one else been able to fix this I see in the review that same issue.

woot more lego in space. I'm wondering is the lightning that Jupiter is holding a part? I can't seem to find it on bricklink.

Discuss LDD Extended mode here
captain jari replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I was trying to enable extended mode on my mac but I can't seem to find the preferences.ini file. I have searched my mac's (both have ldd) and neither have the Lego Company folder any were. I was wondering if any one knows why this is the case. (I am using ldd 4.1.7 and snow leopard 10.6.7) thanks -
Thanks, those pictures show the color sceme much better. I like the classic space aspects of the humans but I don't the retro ufo's as much. I will probably be getting a lot of the alien strikers to get more humans but I don't see my self geting any of the ufo sets.

well it looks like this theme will continue to demonstrate lego's xenophobia that we saw in space police III.

I really like how you made the mountain. The use of color adds a lot of depth.

Just saw on FBTB the invitation to the 2011 toy fair, and on it there is a green alien and a bule space mini fig. this looks like the new space theme for summer. look at the top right and the second down from the top left. flikr I like that hey are releasing more versions of the new space helmet, that light blue in the picture was unexpected. Hopefully more pictures come out showing us what the sets will look like.

[KEY TOPIC] LDD feature requests
captain jari replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've noticed that LDD will render all the bricks in the brick palet and stor then in the ram, as you continue to expand the brick categories this can easily exceed my ram. After your ram is filled up LDD will start using swap on my hard drive wich is much slower, this quickly crashes LDD. I thing they should have better garbage collection to clean LDD's memory usage. When I tried this on my other much slower computer but with a solid state drive it didn't crash even will all of the bricks in posible stored so it's definitely a memory management bug and not a cpu power issue. (the two computers where a 2.93GHz i7, 4GB ram, ATI 5750, 1TB HDD vs 1.83GHz Core 2 duo, 2GB ram, NIVIDIA 9400M, 128GB SSD) I would also like for there to be a way to change the center of the modle, because right now it is really hard to make large designs. -
Hi I'm recently emerged from my short dark age and am starting to look for set's I can buy to modernize my collection. I'm interested in set's that have the lots of new colours and parts ie dark red, dark blue, dark green, purple lime orange, light bley, and bark bley. I also want to get lot os slopes and pars good for space moc's I've already bought a lot of SP III set's so I'm not really interested in mini-figs except for different heads. I'm allso wondering it it may be easier for me to place large bricklink orders instead of buying sets just as a reference where are there example of three moc's I really like and wish my collection allowed me to create similar moc's rocks like this, bases like this and ships like this. thanks :)

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 2 Poll
captain jari replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
form series one I think the astronaut is the best. but in series 2 there isn't any minifigs that stands out and yells buy me so i think i'll skip that and use that as a reason to get more astronauts. I'm hoping that they have more space minifigs in the next wave. -
What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
captain jari replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would like it if TLG expanded the sets like the basic bricks but instead of the standard bricks have lots of plates, tiles slopes and other useful bricks like these. I think the most useful combination would be a set with standard and modified plates, one with lots of tiles and finally one with slopes and wedges. In terms of more standard sets I would like a new space theme that modernizes the old themes as seen with the new blacktron torso and does away with some of the larger pieces that have have limited use besides bulking up a model. -
LEGO Collectible Minfigures Series 1 Poll
captain jari replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These mini-figs are definitely looking to be above average. The best by far is the updated classic space mini-fig witch i'll be getting as many as I can get my hands on. As well I will get one nurse and robot, the other figures look awesome but looking at how it appears they will be sold I will have to use the for trading :(. the only mining that seems out of place f the ninja which could be easily recreated with a black ninja, a Sith torso and a exo-force sword.
