  1. Marvelous, I like very much the ''rough'' look of the hole blown in. The rubble is nice, but I'm a sucker for random bits of bricks strewn everywhere. This may be simple, but it's definitely effective. The only real thing I'd change would be to add a few more details. It's fine now, but I just love those little details that make you go "Oh! That's so cool!". Great job overall.
  2. Yes, yes it is. Just kidding. Too bad though, that was my favorite Vignette. It'll still look fine, it just won't have the wooden planks. I'm glad you enforce the rules though, this could turn ugly without that. So... My entry is posted. Any feedback is appreciated. I always listen, and do my best to answer.
  3. Okay, we need to vote someone out today. I'm not quite sure who to vote for yet, but I'm thinking back(looking in the old chapter topics), and I encourage you to do the same.
  4. Same here, Brickdoctor. That shot is simply beautiful, and a shoe-in for first prize. Can't wait to see who won!
  5. Hey look, another new Fellow! Congrats! Sorry I didn't see this sooner, we don't interact much on the forums.

  6. These are all great bands. I like listening to Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin as well. Pain by Three Days Grace is one of my personal favorite songs. Adam Gontier has such an amazing voice.
  7. I think you should get it. The characterization is marvelous! This has been a great one to follow, with an interesting story and great pictures. Keep it up!
  8. Cecil Saneworth Muggle Studies Teacher Ah, Cecil Saneworth. Given the job shortly after the Battle of Hogwarts, the Muggle Studies teacher has always been obsessed with Muggle inventions and how they work. Here's a photo of him in his classroom, teaching about an Ice Pick (Taken off of a strange Muggle lady named Amy Leeds... Cookie to Shadows! ). His classroom is decorated with many Muggle inventions, such as a "Jackhammer'' and a ''Buzzsaw''. He also has two of his most prized possessions hanging on the wall next to his Hogwarts Crest; two unpaid Muggle speeding tickets. Professor Saneworth also has an obsession with stripes, leading him to paint his walls with them and forced Headmistress McGonnigal to renovate his floor with alternating colored floor boards. Cecil also has an obsession with the Muggle warriors known as ''Samurai". He wears a Samurai helmet to work, along with some Samurai Pants. He'd wear a Samurai shirt too, but the dress code calls for a shirt with the Hogwarts Crest to be worn at all times by teachers. Professor Saneworth graduated from Hogwarts in 1990 a Gryffindor. His odd demeanor negated any potential employers from hiring him, and he lived as a sort of nomad until 1996, when he was hired to teach Muggle Studies after Voldemort had been destroyed. Professor Saneworth had a soft spot towards his old house, and never let any students from Gryffindor get in trouble. When confronted about this by Horace Slughorn, the Slytherin Head of House, Professor Saneworth merely laughed it off, and promptly deducted 100 points from Slytherin, and in the same breath awarded 100 points to Gryffindor. Professor Slughorn didn't like that very much, and did the same thing in reverse. This viscous cycle continued for 6 hours straight, until Headmistress McGonnigal was forced to put an end to it. This duel of House Points continued covertly until Professor Slughorn's death in 2005. The new Slytherin Head of House wasn't quite as cheeky as Professor Saneworth's old friend/enemy Horace was, so this quiet duel was sadly put to rest. Cecil was married to Luna Lovegood in 2000, despite being about 6 years older than her. Their own unique quirkiness brought them together, and they've had a happy marriage so far, ten years into it. Professor Saneworth was made Gryffindor's Head of House in 2010, when Professor Longbottom was unfortunately killed in a greenhouse explosion. Gryffindor mourned their lost Herbology professor, but welcomed Professor Saneworth with open arms. Lovingly referred to as "The Nutty Professor" by his Muggle born students, and "Professor (In)Saneworth" by his half-blood and pure blooded ones, Cecil Saneworth has become a Fixture of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. 9. Maybe, but we can't have the forum cluttered with discussion topics for every set, can we? I believe that the Staff prefer we keep the discussions in a singular discussion topic for each year.
  10. Good question- one that other members have been trying to find out in this thread.
  11. Wow, great entries all around! I believe that my favorite so far is TazManiac's Jade Rip-Snorter. I really enjoyed his backstory, and his character is very pleasing to the eye. However, Cutlass Iz's Cryil Craven is a very close second. Great vignette! I like all the curios from around the world. Geertos's Daily Prophet editor has the best backstory, IMHO. Also, there's a great vignette to back it up. I'm not too keen on the minifigure, sorry. He looks nice, and fits the part, but he just isn't the whimsical and slightly insane person I imagined as the Daily Prophet's editor. My entry will be up soon, so keep a lookout!
  12. Hmm... The Chief is looking awfully suspicious right now. Unvote: HUAC Investigator Matt Leibenston (Dragonator) That's as far as I'll go at the moment, but I have my eyes on you, and my dog is trained.
  13. I'm not sure if this is true of all Wal-Marts, but mine (Paragould, Arkansas) had 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter on sale for 50% off. That makes it less than $30 dollars! I snatched one up to keep for resale later.
  14. Watch who you're calling 'son'. We're about the same age, and I assume you served in the Great War. Might have even been in the same division. So don't get snippy with me.
  15. Okay, if we were playing the 'I've been here longer!' game, I'd have you all beat. Forty plus years, longer than most of you have been alive. So let's not play that game. I think we should stick with whomever seems to be the most suspicious, and that seems to be our esteemed 'investigator' to me. Vote: Matt Liebenston (Dragonator)
  16. *Ducks and covers, thinking back to his time in the Great War.* Harrumph. What the Hell just happened? I want some answers! I guess in the mean time... Unvote: Ted This is only temporary, just in case I find a better option. Ted, my eyes are still on you. Now, about our horrible investigator... Should we trust him? He hasn't really done anything beyond big talk, and I'm not sure if I would be willing to kill our possible investigator just yet.
  17. KielDaMan (who was shortly promoted to Star Wars Regulator), and Walter Kovacs.

  18. Ted? Why are you pointing out kids and accusing them!? They're our children for God's sakes! Why try to destroy our families? If Valerie were still here, she'd be just as appa- Realizes that he just spoke of Valerie, his murdered wife. Chokes up. *sob* Vote: Ted *sob* *Shakes head to clear it.* No stranger's just gonna barge into My town and start breaking up families! *Goes and sits down for a minute, hoping someone will come and sit with him.*
  19. Fellows are the guys (and a few gals!) in Green on the forum legend. They're very respected members who have been promoted by the staff. They have their own forum to pal around in (or so I'm told...), and they help moderate and regulate the community forum.

  20. By the way, seeing your name in Red on the 'active users' list is very disorienting. I was so used to seeing blue. I thought I might have just gotten used to the green, but then you got promoted again! It'll be in bold soon...

  21. Great contest! I do enjoy making my own characters... Actually, there kind of is. They're not really well known, but there are a few books that were mentioned in the Original 7 that were made into books for us muggles to read. Here we have Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (a textbook carried by Harry while taking his 'Care of Magical Creatures' Class), Quidditch Through the Ages (a book written by Famous Quidditch Expert Kennilworthy Whisp in the First (?) book), and The Tales of Beedle the Bard. (The Wizarding Fairy Tale book that 'Deathly Hallows' is centered around.) These are actually great companion books to the series, and I enjoy a copy of each.
  22. That was a quick transition. :P

Good luck with your Regulator-ship, well deserved!

  23. I agree, I'd like to hear from Officers Fields and Harrison before voting. Do tell, gentlemen.
  24. So, any news on the winners? It's been a few days, just thought I'd check in.
  25. Good haul, Ratshot. I've been on the fence about the helmets, would you recommend them?
