Alasdair Ryan replied to harmacy's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think you will need to get a mindstorms of some sort and then set a time you want it to run for,i think you will need a mindstorms block any way if your cars are going round corners. -

Compressor in 8455 Backhoe
Alasdair Ryan replied to kristl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I would like to have a go my self but it is in bits at the moment. I just checked the instructions and you should be able to fit a compressor were the fake engine is,removing the pumps should leave you with enough space for the battery box you may need a valve as well but fitting this should not be to hard. -

hook lift truck
Alasdair Ryan replied to Alasdair Ryan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Is it a bird is it a plane ... no its a big white and red blob 'with a touch of black weighing in at over 2 kg .It drives slowly and the steering works ok, i hope once i add a bit of weight to the back it will be better at driving. I still need to finish the cab ,i am waiting for a order,i also ran out of red tiles at the back, then its the hock lift part its self,i think i will be spending £150 on just one skip. Thanks to Allanp for the drive and steering. I do realize it is a bit out of scale at this point am hoping that when it is done it will look better -
