I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw this thread. I just arrived at work and I didn't realize which day it was. Really, I'm not joking. Thanks for informing me it is my birthday. Now I need to go to a shop to buy some sweets for my colleagues :-D

Genoa... great town with a rich history! Welcome here Benedetto.

This looks like the start of a very impressive ship. I'll be monitoring your progress.

Hi Jos, we are happy to have you here. If you are a ship builder, there's no better place on the internet. I didn't realize this... wooow. How long have you been working on this ship already? Here is a close up picture of a part of the hull to demonstrate it is made out of plates:

Custom Cow, Pig and Sheep figures review
Bonaparte replied to Hinckley's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can't wait to get my hands on these *wub* I wonder how long it will take before mine arrive. Strange that you've chosen the black version of the sheep and piggy (I went for the white and pink variants). I would have though you of all people would go for the pink version of the piggy :-P -
Here you guys are... Ich was following a strange noise, sounded like continuous farting... Could that be a sea monster?

Ship's Figurehead contest - Discussion thread
Bonaparte replied to El Bucanero's topic in LEGO Pirates
It should be suitable for a minifig scale ship. But the figurehead can be larger that a minifig. Maybe that was not cristal clear from the description. I re-wrote that part a bit. -

I place my first order at BrickForge Yesterday. Invoice already received and payed. One bull, a cow, a white sheep, a pink piggy, some elven helmets/swords/bows, some knight helmets and a Greek armor set. Of course I also included some udders :-D Now I'll be checking my mailbox everyday after work. I can't wait to get a close look at these custom parts. I'll post feedback as soon as they arrive.

Why not... the ceiling and floor of the galley is made out of wood. Some even find it a bit too woody X-D Lets take some wood from the floor and make a nice fire in here. We can all sit around the fire and sing songs while I prepare dinner. I'm sure Herrr cap'n knows some fire-songs :-D .

Great MOC. I wouldn't change anything to the rope bridge. But I would put the cannon at another position. The platform is a bit too small for a cannon. I know that's how Lego used to position it's cannons in the Eldorado fortress, but that was the first thing I changed after I build it.

This is a high quality post oo7 !! Two great vignettes and a nice story to glue them together. On to the next battle...

Herren, does anyone mind eating raw fish? Because of those engine problems, there is no power anymore to cook anything. We just have to imagine we are eating some kind of Japanese specialty. Ich also have some lobsters, but since Ich couldn't cook them to death Ich shot them with my Luger. Hope that's OK for you Herren. So when will you scientists have this engine fixed? It's getting very cold in diesen ship. There's no heat anymore. Brrrrrr... chilly...

I'm a bit late with replying, but I was waiting for fresh troops to arrive. Today I got another 27 imperial soldiers. I could buy them in a German BL shop. Next weekend I hope to find time to take pictures of the army as it is today. I need to do some un-dusting first. And make some flags and standards for the new troops. However, I have well over 200 French line infantry now, and I think the army is as big as I want it to be. The total number of troops of my French army is now around 300. Maybe even more. I'll provide exact figures once the new pics are ready. From now on I'll invest in MOCs in stead of minifigs. But who knows, I might change my mind next week :-D .

The "Broken Spoke" Gold Mine: A Wild West MOC
Bonaparte replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is a remarkable and very complex MOC. You don't cease to amaze me Sir Nadroj. Every MOC of you has something fresh, original. And this is one of the best I've seen from you. I can't offer any suggestions for improvement because I can't think of anything. If I had to mention one thing I like most, it's to roof. But also the color schema is perfect. Taking abstraction from all the details and looking at the whole, I must say it has an incredible look. Conclusion: I like this MOC ;-) -
I just send an email inviting the mastermind behind this ship. Let's see if he joins us...

Thanks for making my galley Brickster! I think it looks great. Not at all too wooden like some Walrus :-P suggested. I like all the details. Especially that lamp-thing hanging from the ceiling.

This is a most remarkable ship! And it has an interesting story (check the wikipedia link oo7 has provided). It sank after sailing only a mile into her maiden voyage... As oo7 indicated, I will contact the Dutch constructor of this ship in the near future. Before he arrives, share your thoughts on this remarkable work in progress.

How big is the size of that image? Isn't there a 100M restriction? Anyway, the best solution would be to upload to BS and put a deeplink.
-
Sea ghosts? Ich was hoping it were sea monsters. Ich could be to first Chef to serve sea monster should we catch one. Mmmmmmmmmm Anyway, Ich better get to my kitchen and start cleaning some fish. * walks to the kitchen *

Can I do anything to help with the attachment? Can you upload it to your BS folder?

Good job on that hair. I've never tried sculpting anything. Do you have some details on "sculprey"?
