Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!

My list is long but feel free to pick ur faves. 1 A variety of hats, the pirates of the caribbean films show that there a great number of Pirate hats that LEGO still haven't caught onto, they could release a tricorn hat with a white rim on it. In the LEGO pirate boardgame the artwork even included a horn peaked cap... but with ---> pattern 2 Captain's weapons, i dont think they should go gun crazy like they did with star wars or indiana jones but 1 more expensive looking cutlass or 1 more elaborate captains pistol maybe? 3 Smaller Cannons, as great as the current cannons are they are as wide and long as a man and could be smaller. 4 More Sails, They could release a set with a variety of saisl in so we (and the kids) can customise our ships. 5 Powdered wigs, Maybe two different designs - a long one for a governor and a short one for officers 6 More torsos, I personally prefer the old imperail torsos but would like to see more than just two ranks. Maybe another inbetween? 7 Compass, A hand held compass would be nice even if is just a 1x1 tile with a compass printed on it. I know there is already a working lego compass but its too bulky! with a compass pattern 8 Long Inverted Slopes, See picture, those but inverted... they would be good for hulls. agree? -
Hey, i got hold of one of these heads at last, i bought the whole minifig because it was cheaper than the head alone. i then made my retire Governor... "After many long years as Governor of Port Royal the old soldier retired to live the life he'd always dreamed of, the life of a pirate. He kept much of his wealth and has sen many batles resulting in the loss of a leg and a mysterious injury to his eye..." I got the torso from the Vampire in ht eold LEGO Studios sets and the legs from Mad Eye Moody in the Harry Potter sets. I thought he would still live the luxury life and gave him some expensive looking clothes and even a silver peg leg!

WOW, thanks for all the replies guys. the soaking didn't do anything - good or bad I think it is fade because i found 2 pieces still connected and when i separated them they were perfectly coloured underneath. I've now built the boat, there are several missing pieces and the main flag's clip is snapped. I have decided to start buying replacement parts on bricklink, i will probably end up buying the whole thing in replacements If anyone is interested i'd be happy to sell the set at a very low price.

Hey folks, I'm sure there must be a topic on this already but what is the ranking system here and on euro bricks. I've searched around but i cant find anything. Thanks in advance

Hi guys, My friend was chucking out some old LEGO and, knowing my obsession, offered his collection to me. I of course accepted expecting a few basic bricks and some tattered instructions. Instead i got a variety of sets that he had kept separated including quite a few old pirate sets. The best being a Caribbean Clipper. On closer inspection i found that nearly every brick from the Caribbean Clipper was either dirty or extremely faded. All Pieces As you can, most of the pieces are very faded. I don think you can cure fade... Hull colour Comparison This is fade, not dust which is extremely upsetting. Faded Bricks Here are some more shots of some faded parts, it brings a tear to the eye... Of course the first thing i did was soak all the pieces in warm soapy water. I will now do a piece count and build what i can of the model Watch this space... Here are my questions... 1. Is there any way to fix faded bricks? 2. Can you wash and iron sails, if so what is the best way? 3. What are the best Cleaning products to use on LEGO? If you need a closer inspection, Large High Quality photos are available on my Flickr page. Thanks in advance

legolooney replied to Zorro's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm reasonably new to this forum but i log in every day to check the blog and recent posts so i might as well apply. I have already left my mark by starting several discussions and a review. I am 18 in a couple of weeks so the age is no issue I am a member of reviewers academy so i am already on my way to becoming a regular in the reviews forum I have completed an as level ICT course on blogging and websites. I intend to go into a career of web-site design so this would be great work-experience. Thanks Thomas -

Back:</b> Unfortunately the semi-circular tab has torn away a large chunk of the box but we can still see some extra model ideas including a jeti and a camp. The backgrounds shows a map. INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions are printed both sides of one A6 sheet. It shows the 7 stages and one large picture of the set. FRONT: BACK: PIECES: With a total of just 23 pieces there aren't many that really stick out. My favorite piece is of course the pirate flag. This set does however come with one spare sword which is handy. You can never have too many swords. MINIFIGURE: This set comes with just one minifigure but he's a gooden. This scurvy sea dog has great fashion sense with matching trousers and bandanna. I also really like his head, in photos of this head i have seen on the internet it looks really basic and old but the scruffy hair and stubble wouldn't look out of place on a modern minifig. ASSEMBLY: This being the small set that it is, was very simple to assemble and took less than a minute. 'Nuff said FINAL PIECE: Well here it is, the final piece. No special features to show you and nothing you wouldn't have noticed from the Box which is fair enough, it is a small set. TOTALS: Design: 9/10 With any set this size there are very few criticisms you can make on design. Maybe they should have used brown for a wooden raft? Parts: 10/10 this may seem generous but for what it is its parts meet it perfectly and there were 2 swords. Build: 10/10 Again no criticisms for such a tiny set and its simplicity make it buildable by any LEGO fan. Minifigures: 10/10 Great minifig and the set only needs one character, he is shipwrecked after all. Playability: 9/10 Because this pirate is ship wrecked the kids can play with him as he is, he doesn't need a big boat or any imperials. Price: 8/10 I don't know the actual price of this set when it was released so i cant be too judgmental but i have found that small sets are usually overpriced. TOTAL: 56/60 and i think it deserves that score, there aren't many pieces but there don't need to be if the child has any other LEGO he could easily make an island or a rescue party and make up a whole story.
