REVIEW: Minifigure Torch Keyring
legolooney replied to legolooney's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Glad i could help and i agree the lights sure are powerful! -
I was surprised to find a pair of LEGO Stormtrooper Socks in my local New Look. I of course had to buy a pair and then, after showing all my friends at college, decided to share them with you! NOTE: I got these in the UK, in New Look, i'm not sure if that shop even exists anywhere else. If it does, keep an eye out! LEGO STORMTROOPER SOCKS SHOP: New Look PRICE: £3 PACKAGING Front: The front of packaging is very simple, it was actually the STAR WARS pic that attracted me at first then i noticed the LEGO logo. Back: Same again, but with more words! As you can see it is official STAR WARS merch and costs just £3 a pair. Design: Nice and plain, one stromtrooper and the LEGO logo around the ankle. Final Verdict: I really like these socks, i bought 3 pairs. They are perfect for school or work because they are black but they're fun at the same time! £3 a pair isn't bad for official merchandise The simple black and white design is effective I would like to see some more design in the future.

When i saw this little piece in my local high street i couldn't resist, and when i found no reviews or mentions of it I decided to do my, so here for you is a review of the LEGO Minifigure Torch Keyring! BOX Front: The box is pretty simple, no plastic, just acts as a very LEGO looking frame to the product. Shows the age to be 5+ Back: The back sticks with the yellow colour scheme and shows the 4 main features plus arrows to show its maneuverability. INSTRUCTIONS Front: These are fold out instructions, the front shows a diagram of the product along with all the licencing bits, copyright and Trademark etc. Back: The reverse of the intructions shows how to change the batteries. It takes 2 lots of CR2025 3V Content:The actual instructions are very small and available in 24 languages including, English, Danish, Japanese and Korean FIRST LOOK Front: As you can see a very plain minifig. The head is the new take on the classic LEGO head, with added shape to the mouth and white sparkle in the eyes. I'm glad they kept the fig simple. Back: The back is just as you would expect it but with a battery cover. Here you can also see it was made in China (what isn't?). Also notice the leg piece is slightly irregular. Bottom: The base of the minifigure is where the 2 LEDs are, one in each foot. This is good because 2 is better than 1 and its nice and symmetrical. TORCH The torch consists of two Bright White light LEDs. The lights are activated by pressing the LEGO logo on the centre of the torso. They are very powerful and easily lit up a darkened room, perfect for finding the lock on you fornt door at night! SIZE Heres a couple of photos to give you an idea of size. its actually measurements are 7cm (Head to Toe) 4.5cm (hand to hand) with a torso width of about 2.7cm FEATURES Maneuverability: All parts move in the exact same way a minifigure does. The legs move forward at 90 degrees and are limited going backweards, just like the real thing. The head can do as many spins as you like as can the arms. Keyring: The keyring is the same design as the keyrings used for ordinary minifig keyrings. (did I say keyring too much?) Also... for those who were wondering you can remove the arms and hands just as you can in and ordinary minifigure as they have the exact same joints. The legs however are firmly attached (for obvious reasons) OVERALL I really like this product, it is very useful and fun. It looks great on your keyring although it is a little bulky for your pocket. Non-LEGO-lovers will think it's cool and 'retro' Its a great conversation starter too! (is that sad) I would love to see more of these on the same scale with minifigs form other sets. "get back here little brother"

Ha ha! glad u like it and i hadn't noticed the irony! Thanks for adding to the voting topic! and nice comparison between me and apple builder zorro, made me chuckle

It had to be 16 x 16 for the community build, glad u like it :D
-
exotrator-19. Cannon Foundr Just a great build, the pallet of colours is great, the perfect amount of variety without spoiling the look, the roof of course is great and it just looks like it could fit right into the real world!!! :D

HQ photos on my Flickr Thanks for checking it out!

I very rarely remove legs, it makes them wonky when you re attach i do remove the arms on all my figs as i store arms and torso separately. It seems to have had no effect on my figures and it gives so many more possibilities to the torso! hope this helps

Hey guys, i was was watching scrubs the other day and, as every LEGO fan does with most things, thought "i wonder what that would look like in LEGO?" So i made some custom figs, using only real parts then re-enacted a famous scrubs clip using stop-motion In Order: Bob Kelso, Perry Cox, Elliot Reid, JD, Chris Turk, Carla Espinosa, The Janitor Next up my video! I've included the original as well for comparison! I made it to the exact same cuts with the same people walking around in the background.
