  1. Fro you options you presented I would go with Venator. But personally I think Vader's Executor never gets old. Good luck cant wait for photos!
  2. Is this global or selected countries or selected stores?
  3. Quick question... Is there a way we can share our wanted lists with other members, say for example if they wanted to buy the same pieces, I could give them the wanted list?? If not, what is the best way to share parts lists for custom models?? Cheers folks
  4. Yeah I have the first Sith Infiltrator, from when Episode I came out. Great set. I agree the old MAul is better. Even though the new one is more detailed I think the old one looks more 'LEGO'
  5. Awesome is the word. Every photo made me notcie something brilliant about the set. I now feel I have to go out and buy some Castle stuff before this arrives!!
  6. I would like LEGO to win this. If they lose other clone brands will get cocky and have a try at LEGO. I can appreciate that parents want a cheap alternative to LEGO, so the clone brands need to exist. But this is too far.
  7. I'm with Brickmack, Use the Bricklink Wanted Lists. Once you get the hang of it they are an extremely useful tool.
  8. Just ordered 200 of these for £8. Chinese takeaway tubs. Plastic, clear, stackable and very cheap. They also do a bunch of different sizes. Check this website out for all their shapes and sizes....this is the answer!!! Here's the good stuff....
  9. Hey dudue, Heres a link to the software I use. Its free and really simple. Link Here You dont need anything more than this for stop motion with LEGO. BEWARE the website is very weird looking but dont let that put you off :) Heres a video I made using this software, Best of luck with the animating :)
  10. Anyone know the if I can get this anywhere cheaper? Or if its even worth buying? http://www.amazon.com/Stack-DS-39-Drawer-Storage-Cabinet/dp/B000HJBA1W/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_img_c
  11. Rock Raiders. No Doubt. I was 7 years old when it came out. It was the LEGO theme of my childhood. The one I asked for christmas/birthdays, the one I bought the game for, the one I even bought the books for :) and of course the one I made up my own sets for :) I know the Power Miners are just Rock Raiders 2.0 but I wish they had released more rockraiders.
  12. Wow, i'm getting so much help! I love it. All this is really helpful and mature criticism. I will get another draught up soon! Thanks again guys.
  13. This was used for filming 'on-deck' scenes in the film, hence the top of the masts is cut off. Not the actual scale of the ship.
  14. Some really slick photos on this thread!! The troops were shocked to hear there was an imposter in their ranks!
  15. That's a;right, black will do! thanks very much.
  16. I've followed SLyowl's advice, and I think it looks much better. Unfortunately solving one problem brings up another. The jumper plate now shows on the back. This is great, but what is the piece? some sort of footwear?
  17. Great! thanks Slyowl, ill try that stuff out and post back!
  18. Hi folks. I'm building some Miniland-scale figure and am struggling with capturing a tie. This is the closest I can get to. It would be easier if there was no jacket, but the jacket is needed. Any help greatly appreciated.
  19. I dont care that it's small and a bit boring looking! ITS AWSOME! I catn wait to get this. Davy Jones looked good + hammerhead 1st Mate. This could easily become my favourite lego set!!
  20. Really well written, I love Tupperware tomb and the other imagery you've used. My only issue is with the word legos. It hurts my head to read this. The plural of Lego is Lego. Once that is corrected you will have a brilliant entry.
  21. Well written and neatly structured but i'm not sure that it's in Jacks personality to get drunk on power or kill an ex-best friend in cold blood. Maybe tweak the ending! otherwise. Great job
  22. 2nd Draft When Jack first mentioned the fabled ‘First Brick’ Gibbs had just snorted in an attempt to stifle his laughter. It wasn’t that the old pirate didn’t believe in the super natural, after spending so much time with Jack he had got used to it, but the tale of the First Brick was one even Gibbs couldn’t bring himself to believe. Supposedly when the world was first built all those years ago one of the founding bricks had been lost and swapped by a block from a different world, not just a different place but an entirely different universe. The preposterous nature of the story hadn’t discouraged the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. He was convinced that he knew its location and was determined to travel to that other world, after all as Jack had put it, “What man is more free than one who is not restricted to just one world?” Although Gibbs still wasn’t convinced he was happy to humour his good Captain for the sake of a good adventure. After assembling a crew the buccaneers set off across the seas. Eventually they arrived at the most unassuming spit of sand in the Caribbean and after anchoring the Pearl, Gibbs rowed a small dingy while Jack stood heroically at its bow. The island was no more than a few metres long with one solitary palm tree at its centre, and there on its side next to the tree was a simple rectangular red block with a flattened cylinder at one end. Jack swaggered up to it and span around, “You were saying Mr. Gibbs.” The old sailor shook his head as his mutton chop facial hair creased into a reluctant smile. So now here they were, just moments after simultaneously touching the brick, still dizzy from the trip. They both stood up to find themselves below deck on some sort of vessel with a variety of weapons all pointing at them being wielded by strange yellow faced pirates. Jack paused as his eyes darted around taking in his surroundings, then smiled and lent into the barrel of a pistol being aimed at him by the toughest looking pirate, Jack’s hands parted into a half curtsey as he proposed one of the most useful words he knew, “Parley?” Have I got the speech lining right this time? I am now working on your structure idea, 2 parts rather than 3. Thanks again for the help
  23. Well i know that's what it should be, but that case doesn't look like it could fit a revolver.
  24. As far as i'm concerned the imperial Flagship is the best one, due to its size, detail and the fact it has 2 decks. it is however the most expensive ship, but you pay fro what you get.
  25. Just looking over the pictures again, has anyone noticed that the Gangster's violin case looks as though it will actually open, like a normal LEGO suitcase. What could fit in it though??
