  1. There´re many ways to look at that matter indeed. Sometimes I buy a set just for some interesting parts, and sometimes just because I like the whole theme. TLC did, for me, a fantastic job lately to give us sets that (IMHO) look very appealing to kids and AFOLs as well. Next year, especially with Pirates, looks promising too. However, PowerMiners don´t do that job for me right now. It seems like TLC wants to offer these sets at a lower price point by using a lot of pretty big parts. Anyway, it´s nothing wrong with a manifold product range and different sales strategies, and my wallet´s already grateful for that. Although I slightly prefer more comprehensive critiques I do think that even simple one-liners´re fine too. As long as people won´t start to grumble about other persons opinions I sense no problems at all too. Viva la Difference!
  2. Happy Birthday and stay tough!
  3. A nice and original work with very neat details like the carrot and the barrels and some nifty features like that separate-able front. Perhaps it looks a little more like some post-apocalyptic MOC due to these tires. Some brown instead grey for the drawbridge part could also look interesting. For 'better' MOCs, all it really needs is just a little practice and to look closely at other person´s MOCs, to learn from them and to gather some additional inspiration.
  4. A smart work and very poseable indeed, well done!
  5. A very nice work in a charming size. I especially like its neat seed-like design.
  6. Simply a wonderful and intricate work, elegant and most impressive all the way from head to toe - um, or better, from propeller to fin.
  7. That´s a very funny scenery and a smooth and nice detailed work with a great interior. The little rug rat and the mother orc´s very nifty. I wish the big troll could actually sit down just to power up that rowboat, that would look pretty sweet too...
  8. That´s a fine and peaceful scenery, a neat landscaping and a very smart 'wetwork' indeed!
  9. I just feel a little ambivalent about all this... The color scheme´s a nice and even brave change, and like others already pointed out, pretty realistic for such kind of vehicles. The monsters look cute and funny by now, pretty interesting. Maybe a little more like something that crawled out from one of these chocolate surprise eggs, though. The MF characters look, from what I can see, pretty boring. And there´re a lot of big and even '<insert that tiresome argument>' parts. That´s not bad per se, and I can see that drill piece or those big wheel things used smartly in some space MOCs or whatever. I hope this line´ll be successful with the kids (it looks, a little, like some replacement for ExoForce), but to me the total of all these components I mentioned above looks in the end a bit out of balance. Somehow...
  10. Thanks for that really fine review, Skipper 24. Although I sadly missed them I always thought that they´re the most accurate looking astronauts LEGO ever did!
  11. Hmm... interesting. Looks like a garage in space, somehow. Nice for all the SJ crafts out there, I hope the service´s rather economically priced... Good land I mean spacescaping.

    City '09?

He he... the first real innovation for Town since, um, decades and you won´t buy it..? Of course, smaller bricks mean more versatility and building fun, but to me the simple design of the buildings still works pretty well. The use of the bigger pieces makes sense (well, for the price point I guess) and don´t disturbs the structure or overall look. At least it´ll work as a good starting point for some distinct MODing... And yeah, Wout, animal battle packs on!
  13. An original and funny MOC with a lot of very charming details!
  14. A very nice trip indeed. Thanks for the nice pics, especially those nice displayed MOCs.
  15. A beautiful and very creative work, full of detailed, original and accurate buildings. The concept´s fantastic and very clever and brilliantly realized indeed. The backside looks also simply wonderful and very charming. A magnificent and very authentic looking historic district, a pearl of beauty for any City layout! Thanks for that cool find, simonwillems!

A very cool looking guy... great color scheme and a fine leg and arm design, too!
  17. A nice building in a clean color scheme and in a clear design too. I like especially that sweet little cell annex, pretty charming!
  18. An interesting work with a neat head and a distinct looking body, and the incorporation of these Bionicle pieces works really well too.
  19. A nice work and a smart design indeed, well done.

    My LAAT/i

A fine and interesting work, it looks sleek and a little longer, like some advanced version built for higher velocity.
  21. Wow, your Cylons´re beautiful! A really impressive work. And that Intruder looks also pretty smooth and detailed and fits all requirements well for sure.
  22. A fine scenery, and the walls with that trans red stripe look pretty cool!

    Happy B-Day Jinzo

    Happy Birthday!
  24. A perfect Tatooine battle pack that would be indeed...
  25. That´s a cool idea with these different legs. The whole MOC´s a distinct alien-like feeling to it. That big grey wheel for the front looks also good, and the trans red works well for some color accents. A creepy work, in a good way of course!
