  5. I have finally managed to photograph my entire collection :) This excludes all the sets I have broken down to be used for pieces for MOC's. http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/p/my-lego-sets.html

  8. Maybe we could look at making it in to a challenge here on the forum?
  9. Thanks for the feedback :)
  10. I agree they are both doing an excellent job, I also do miss DLuders but I don't think we are allowed to talk about that :(
  11. Wow, that is a crazy looking build. Good luck with getting it to do everything you want.
  12. I toss all my boxes now, I never use to :(
  13. A slightly updated version of this I have been working on :) Technic Man (To the tune of Piano man by Billy Joel) Its nine o’clock on a Saturday The regular crowd shuffles in There’s an old man sitting next to me Building a Lego model with power functions and gears He says, son, can you help with the gear box I’m not really sure how it goes But I want it to have a 4 speeds and I knew it before When I was building these with my kids Build us some models you’re the Technic man Build us some models tonight Well, we are all in the mood for a big supercar And you’ve got us all building just right Now James at Toy world is a friend of mine He gets me my Technic for free And he’s quick with the parts and to get next year’s sets But there’s someplace that he’d rather be He says, Paul, I believe this is killing me. As the smile ran away from his face Well I’m sure that I could be working for LEGO If I could get out of this place Now Tim is Technic builder Who never had time for a wife And he’s talking with Davey who’s still building the Unimog And probably will be for life...... And the waitress is aligning some gears As the businessmen gets the parts sorted out Yes, they’re sharing a game they call team building But it’s better than building alone Build us some models you’re the Technic man Build us some models tonight Well, we are all in the mood for a big supercar And you’ve got us all building just right It’s a pretty good crowd for a Saturday And the manager gives me a smile cause he knows that it’s me they’ve been coming to see To get Technic built with style And the 4x4 crawler, it sounds like it is running flat And the crowd, well they shed a tear And they sit at the bar and ask why you depart? And say, man, we are going to miss you Technic skills here......
  14. I also had a few of the older sets with the flip up lids, these looked much better than what we get now. I also agree that the boxes need to be smaller, I hate opening a box and finding it is half empty :(
  15. That is a really good point. Back when I was younger I don't think I even built many of the B models. Now the quality of these is an important consideration when I purchase sets. In some cases such as 9393 and 9395 I actually purchased these sets just to build the B models.
  16. I have experienced this myself first hand, missed out on a half price 8070 by 30 seconds :(
  17. I am tossing up between 8110 and 9398. I am guessing 8110 will go EOL first?
  18. I would have to say that of the sets I have owned 8053 would have been the worst.

  21. Clearly :) I have always been a fan of rubbish trucks and recently started to MOC up my own. A write up with pictures and videos is on my blog.
  22. I always liked 8880 and lusted after that for ages. Now I wish I had of purchased more of the 1990's sets when I had the chance.
  23. You have capture this quite well, I love the surf board on the roof :)
