  1. Very nicely done, thanks for sharing this.
  2. Has anybody suffered "burn out" from building too much at once? I have built a custom C model of 42006, a dozer blade, road roller and 95% of a trailer for the Unimog and parted out a couple of large 1000+ piece sets in the past week, I am stuffed :( Sadly I have so many ideas I want to work on but I am just too tired :( I try and only "build" on the weekends but I find I have so many good ideas during the week to improve my previous builds or new ideas.
  3. Welcome to EB. Glad to have another builder of great models on here :)
  4. I have decided to add a new section to my blog which will be interviews with various LEGO builders. Rather than approaching people individually I have decided to instead post my question on my blog and allow anybody who wants to answer them too. I will then publish the responses on my blog. More details can be found here: http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/p/interviews-of-lego-builders.html
  5. I built over the weekend: - C model of set 42006 (Bulldozer) with a custom log grabber - Road roller attachment for 8110 - Trailer to transport 42006 - bulldozer. Goes behind 8110.
  6. That is a really good solution to a problem anybody who uses this battery box would have come across in the past. I use the lid of the battery box and this seems to work fairly well.
  7. This looks like a great tool, thanks for sharing it.
  8. I feel for you, We have had the cargo plane and all the 1H 2014 sets here for months, all the retailers who sell LEGO have them.
  9. That is very cool, thanks for sharing it.
  10. Well done, this is a great build.
  11. Well done, very realistic and a great level of detail.
  12. Following on from the previous attachments I have designed and built for the Unimog U400 I had an idea to build a road roller. Below is the result of this. It lifts using the rear PTO of the Unimog and I have also included two warning lights on top. On my blog are some photos and a video of it in use. http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/unimog-u400-road-roller-attachment.html
  13. You should warn people before posting things such as that, I almost sprayed my laptop with my mouth full of water :(
  14. It really depends on how you assess this, I suspect 42009 would also be close to the top.
  15. Following on from my building review of the custom C model bulldozer of set 42006 (http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/lego-technic-42006-custom-c-model.html) I have designed and built a log grabber, this replaces the rear plough attachment. On my blog is a series of photos of this and a video of it in use: http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/42006-c-model-bulldozer-mod-log-grabber.html
  16. Recently I posted on here asking if anybody had built or seen a C model of set 42006, I received a reply which had a link to this site http://http://buildi...b.cz/index.html which has building guides for a number of custom C models, this included a bulldozer built using the pieces from set 42006. I downloaded the building guide for this and built it today. On my blog I have posted a building review of this model: http://paulstechnic....om-c-model.html
  17. You are all that is right / wrong with this hobby :) I do the same :)
  18. Thanks, that looks very cool, I am just downloading the building guide for that now. I will build it as is and then maybe look at making some mods to it :) I am glad to be back, our recent Brixhibition got me right back in to it :)
  19. Has anybody designed or seen any C models of this set? I can get a second copy fairly cheap which might be good for this. Other than the A and B models what else could be built with this?
  20. I have cleaned out my LEGO room / office to give me enough space to actually sue it for building :)
  21. This makes no sense, it is like saying would you rather die of aids or cancer, in both cases the same result....
  22. In the past but not any more ;)
  23. I am getting back in to some of the bands I liked as a teenager in the 1990's / early 2000's. Green Day is the top of my play list at the moment. This is my number 1 song at the moment:
