  1. I have recently spent some time designing and building my latest MOC, this is a tracked aerial access vehicle. This is used on building sites to lift workers up to heights, to allow them to safely work above the ground. I spent some time researching these online and after trying a few builds, I am happy with the end result. It has three features: - Knob to turn the turntable. - Knob to raise and lower the bucket - An opening access panel, to allow the inner workings to be viewed. Overall I am happy with how it has turned out and how the features work, I am planning MK2 at the moment, which will have a higher lifting range. https://paulbtechnic.blogspot.com/2024/04/moc-lego-technic-tracked-aerial-access.html
  2. I have recently completed my latest MOC, this is a C model truck and semi trailer, using the parts from two copies of LEGO Technic set 42147. The truck is partly based on the A model for set 42147, with the cabin being built as per the A model and the rear being designed for the attachment of the semi trailer. This features hand of god steering and the cabin doors open, as per the A model. The semi trailer connects via a pin, to the the connector on the back of the truck. It also features an opening tail gate and a fold down stand, to allow it to be easily connected and disconnected from the truck. https://paulbtechnic.blogspot.com/2024/04/moc-42147-c-model-truck-and-semi-trailer.html
  3. MOC - Custom Towing Attachment for LEGO Technic 42151 C Model Pick Up Truck I have recently completed my latest MOC, this is a custom towing arm, which connects in the tray of LEGO Technic 42151 C Model Pick Up truck. When I was making my changes to this C model I had a 3L beam to the front of the tray, my idea being to use this to allow me to add custom attachments easily. This towing attachment turns this from a pick up truck in to a tow truck. It has a gear on the side with a lever, which is used to wind in and lock the tow line. As can be seen in the photos below, this easily works to tow a vehicle.
  4. The 42168 C Model Lawn Tractor (Ride On Mower), ingeniously crafted by Larsagri, emerges as a delightful surprise, exceeding expectations with its size, building process, and the final aesthetic appeal. First and foremost, let's talk size. From the moment you open the box, it's evident that this isn't your average LEGO set. The sheer scale of the pieces hints at the intricate details awaiting assembly. Assembling the model, I was pleasantly surprised by its substantial dimensions; it's much bigger than anticipated, offering a more immersive and rewarding building experience. Speaking of the building process, it's an absolute joy. Larsagri's design seamlessly combines complexity with accessibility. Each step feels purposeful, gradually revealing the inner workings of the lawn tractor. The instructions are clear and concise, guiding builders through the intricate assembly without overwhelming them. Whether you're a seasoned LEGO veteran or a novice enthusiast, the building process is sure to captivate and engage. Upon completion, the finished model is nothing short of impressive. The attention to detail is remarkable, capturing the essence of a real-life lawn tractor with remarkable fidelity. The vibrant color scheme and intricate mechanisms make it a standout piece in any LEGO collection. Whether displayed on a shelf or integrated into a larger Technic landscape, the 42168 C Model Lawn Tractor demands attention and admiration. Now, let's dive into the features that truly set this model apart. The functionality is where Larsagri's ingenuity truly shines. From the driver's seat, you can lower and raise the mower with a handle, mimicking the real-life operation with remarkable accuracy. The cutters turn as the tractor moves, adding an extra layer of realism to the experience. Additionally, support wheels for the mower ensure stability during operation, while the adjustable side ejection allows for customization according to preference. But the surprises don't end there. The engine hood can be opened, revealing a meticulously crafted engine bay. The pendular suspension of the front axle adds a touch of realism to the tractor's movements, enhancing its authenticity. Steering for the front wheels provides manoeuvrability, allowing you to navigate through imaginary fields and obstacles with ease. And let's not forget the last part: the snow plow attachment. The mount frame for front attachments with a lock in the upper position allows for seamless integration of the snow plow, transforming the lawn tractor into a versatile winter companion. Whether you're clearing driveways or sculpting snow sculptures, the snow plow adds an extra dimension of playability to an already impressive model. I have plans to build some other attachments for this. In conclusion, the LEGO Technic 42168 C Model Lawn Tractor is a triumph of miniature engineering. From its unexpected size to its enjoyable building process and impressive functionality, it's a testament to Larsagri's creativity and attention to detail. Whether you're a LEGO enthusiast, a Technic aficionado, or simply someone who appreciates finely crafted models, the 42168 C Model Lawn Tractor is sure to delight and inspire. https://paulbtechnic.blogspot.com/2024/04/review-lego-technic-42168-c-model-lawn.html
  5. I really like the look of this :)
  6. I thought so too, but it has been a few years since I saw it and I could not find it in all my searching.
  7. MOD - Loading Trailer for 42151 C Model Pick Up Truck Recently I have completed my modifications of the LEGO Technic 42151 C Model pick up truck, to add my own ideas and touches to it. Following this, I decided I wanted to design and build a trailer for this to tow. I had a spare copy of set 42167, which I had recently built as a C model tilt tray truck, my plan was to use the parts from this to build my trailer. I started off loading the parts from 42167 in to Studio and using this to design a trailer. After a few hours I had a design, which I was happy with. When it came time to break down 42167, which was built as a tilt tray truck, I thought this idea might work well for a trailer. A quick redesign and I ended up pulling off the front cabin part, keeping the rear tilt tray intact and redesigning this to be a trailer. I had to move the wheels back two studs and make some modifications to the tray lifting an tilting mechanism, to allow this to work. I also built a draw bar, added a stand for when it is not in use and made some minor changes to the tray. Finally I had to add a tow bar to 42151 C model pick up truck to allow this to two the trailer, this is a 7 stud beam that connects just behind the rear wheels and to the rear bumper bar. Overall, I am very happy with how this has turned out. My next plan is to build some other trailers and attachments for 42151 C model pick up truck.
  8. Recently I have built the C model Pickup Truck of LEGO technic set 42151, this was designed by "ErikGS", the instructions for this C Model can be found on Rebrickable. After building this, I was very impressed with the model and design but I saw a few areas where it could be improved, this was mostly due to some parts only being held in by one connector, such as the doors, around the engine bay and some other areas such as the top of the roof and the dashboard not staying together very well, given was a C model and only used the parts from set 42151, this was understandable. I have spent some time recently "modding" this C model and making some changes. This uses a number of other parts, meaning it is no longer a "proper" C model. I have listed the changes below. Front End Redesign. Bonnet has been swapped around and now opens, this allows the engine to be seen in operation. I also installed a stay to keep this open. The rear of the engine bay also had a stay installed, to provide some extra support. The cabin has been redesigned and has had some extra beams installed to provide more strength. A number of parts have been swapped to yellow, to give it a set of yellow strips from the front to the back. The rear tray has been improved, with side sports bars installed and some changes to the rear of the cabin and tailgate. Finally, I swapped over the wheels to ones in black and with a different tread profile, which I feels better suits this vehicle. https://paulbtechnic.blogspot.com/2024/03/mod-lego-technic-42151-c-model-pickup.html
  9. Wow, this is amazing, such a high level of detail.
  10. Question for LEGO Builders: What's Acceptable When Modifying Others' MOCs? Hey fellow LEGO enthusiasts! We all love building and customizing our own creations, but what's the etiquette when it comes to modifying someone else's MOC (My Own Creation)? Whether it's adding a personal touch, improving functionality, or just tweaking the design, where do we draw the line between inspiration and infringement? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this topic! Have you ever modified someone else's MOC? If so, what factors did you consider before making changes? And for those who've had their creations modified, how did you feel about it? Let's discuss and learn from each other's perspectives! If you do take someone's MOC and modify it, how do you present this online?
  11. This is a photo of my building area.
  12. Wow, that is an awesome build. I love the level of detail in it.
  13. The LEGO Technic 42151 C Model Pickup Truck stands as a testament to the creativity and engineering prowess of LEGO Technic enthusiasts. As a fan of the Technic line, I was very excited to receive this set for my birthday and while my normal process is to build the official A model first and then move on to C models, in this case I wanted to build this C model first. I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in almost every aspect. One of the standout features of this model is its hand of God (HOG) steering mechanism. Controlling the truck with precision and ease, this steering system allows for seamless manoeuvrability, ensuring that navigating through any terrain is a joyous experience. The attention to detail in implementing this functionality is truly commendable, adding an extra layer of realism to the overall build. The heart of this Pickup Truck lies in its meticulously crafted V8 engine, ingeniously connected to one of the rear wheels. This engineering marvel not only adds authenticity to the design but also offers a fascinating insight into the inner workings of a real-life pickup truck. Witnessing the gears and pistons in action as the engine propels the vehicle forward is a sight to behold, highlighting LEGO technic enthusiasts commitment to providing immersive and educational building experiences, both for C models and mocs. Furthermore, the inclusion of an opening tailgate adds another dimension of realism to the model. Whether loading cargo or simply admiring the intricate interior details, this feature enhances the playability and authenticity of the Pickup Truck, making it a standout addition to any LEGO Technic collection. Beyond its functional aspects, the aesthetics of the Pickup Truck are equally impressive. From its sleek exterior design to its detailed interior cabin, every aspect of the model exudes craftsmanship and attention to detail. The colour scheme is vibrant yet realistic, capturing the essence of a classic pickup truck while incorporating modern design elements. While I was very impressed with the end result, the build process has a few minor issues, which caused me some level of frustration during the 185 step build process: - In a couple of spots the instructions were not very clear on where parts where meant to go, in one case I put a part aside and it was 22 steps later that I could see where it was meant to go. Going back to the original step, there was no way I could have told from that step where it was meant to go. - Some steps might have 6 parts, 5 go on the rear and 1 might go on the front, this makes finding where they need to go challenging at times. - A few steps require placing axels in beam holes but nothing connects / holds them in place until 2 or 3 steps later. More than once I "lost" parts as they had fallen off. - Two areas don't seem to be connected very well and they fall off easily, this the middle part of the dashboard and and top part of the roof. In conclusion, the LEGO Technic 42151 C Model Pickup Truck is a triumph of engineering and design. With its hand of God steering, V8 engine, and realistic features such as the opening tailgate, this model offers an engaging and immersive building experience for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages. Whether displayed proudly on a shelf or engaged in imaginative play, this Pickup Truck is sure to captivate and inspire builders for years to come. With the left over parts, I am planning on making some mods and changes to improve this C model. https://paulbtechnic.blogspot.com/2024/03/review-lego-technic-42151-c-model.html The Rebrickable page about this model can be found here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-166638/ErikGS/pickup-truck-42151-alternative/#details

The hand of god steering works very well and the knob on each side of the tray controls this fnction. Functionality: What sets this model apart is its functionality. Despite being a secondary creation, the flatbed truck features several moving parts that add to its playability. The flatbed itself is fully functional, equipped with a tilting mechanism that allows for easy loading and unloading of cargo. The steering mechanism, enhances the truck's manoeuvrability, making it a joy to play with. Detailing: Detailing is where this model truly shines.
