  1. I wounldn't be too sure of that. Disney has decided to make PoP one of it's tentpole themes and the way Lego is pushing it I think there is a possibility that it may be around for a while. I went to my local Lego store the day the sets came out and then half a week later, yesterday, I went again and about half of the PoP sets that were on the shelfs on April 1st where there now. Also they had not even gotten the proper store displays up so I think that this line is going to sell rather well.
  2. I have to say that this MOC is incredible. Great job. I really like the design on the side and the market. I also like how you used the different torsos in order to creat the different characters. Really nick MOC.
  3. I just wanted to warn everybody to not get the magnet set for minifigs. The chinese are back at it again. I got that set today and instead of using red for the scarf around his waist they used brown. Also the plastic felt and looked cheaper and the collar for the prince was supposed to be silver but, is a greenish-brown on the magnet version. Hopefully bricklink.com will list them differently for people who don't want to buy them.
  4. I wanted to wait to vote and give my final thoughts on the Prince of Persia sets until I got them myself. Well, I got the rest of them today and I have to say this is one of my favorite sets. I really like the ostriches and the gate-opening device. A great review of a great set.
  5. Nice review. This is one of my favorite sets of the series. I added my IJ Cairo ambush and made a whole complete market. Great set and great review. 10/10
  6. Totally agree. I wouldn't just base those figures on the number of parts. There are a lot of parts in this set with new colors that we have never seen before such as, the printed horse, the new minifigures, the new hair mold, the new turbans, the differently colored bush, etc... Anyway, great review. I just got this set along with the rest and I think it deserves the highest ranking. Afterall, there are a lot of new parts and this set is a great army builder. 10/10
  7. Very nice review. I like the pictures that you took. They were both good quality and they were funny. I just got this set today myself and it is a very nice set. I would give it a higher score since you really can't make a set better in this size. It may be a little over priced but, I don't think that is such a big deal considering all of the new parts, assessories, and animals.
  8. I have this set myself already and I have to say that like the other Prince of Persia sets it is awsome. I was really impressed with the blade traps and the light-up sands of time. Zolm or the snake guy is my favorite of the new Prince of Persia minifigs except for the Prince himself of course. Thanks for a Great review and some nice pictures of this set.
  9. I am wondering if the magnet sets come with regular minifigures that you can take apart or do they come with special minifigures like on the keychains where all of the parts are glued together?
  10. I put all of my sets and pieces in clear plastic storage containers and then about once a week I will take them out and build them and leave them up for another week. Remember, what is the point in buying Legos if you never get them out and play with them?
  11. I seriously doubt that there is going to be another wave and if there was they would not have battlepacks.
  12. I like the Sand-Orange name the best.
  13. Ah, you beat me to the first review. Oh, well. I will make a review later. I was too busy having fun and building it anyway. Great review. I just got this set built today and it is out of this world. By far one of the best castles/palaces ever built. Again great review of a absolutly spectacular set.
  14. I do have the say that one thing I would have liked Lego to make for this theme and the Indiana Jones theme is a cobra. I know that Lego likes to keep its parts at least somewhat generic but, an actual cobra instead of the rattlesnake would be really cool. Also, I agree that the camels could have been made more poseable and certainly Lego could come out with another horse but, we do have a camel after all and I am really excited about the Ostriches.
  15. The two biggest PoP sets should be ariving to my house tomorrow since they shipped last week. Hopefully, I will be getting them and I will be able to do some reviews. And then next week I will be buying the rest of the sets.
  16. Toy Story is new.
  17. I would call their customer service and make sure that they ship. I didn't have a problem last week when I ordered Prince of Persia sets but, I would check just in case. Oh, and I would be prepared to argue of they try to waylay your shipment.
  18. I don't know that there needs to be an actual dragon leader. I liked it when Lego left it up to your imagination on who were the bad guys and who were the good guys and who lead what. It seems that when Lego gets too caught up in developing story plots it begins sacrificing things like good set design etc...
  19. Well I have to say that badboytje88-22. Orphanage is my absolute favorite. I just love how he turned such an innocent orphanage into a sick child-trafficking operation. :pir-skull:
  20. Well, I have said it before and I will say it again. I think that Lego did a fine job for the 2009 Pirate theme. Yeah, they looked like toys because They Were Toys. If you look at the older pirate sets they look just as toyish. Take for instance the BSB, SES, RBR and all of the other sets that went with them. But, that being said the old Pirates sets are still some of my favorites and I think that the new ones are great too.
  21. How about some some of the corner pieces used on the domes for the towers. They would look really nice for corners on a stern window gallery for a ship. Also I would really like to see some ancient persian trading ships and perhapes a dock to go with them. Sorry if this is off topic for the pirate forum.
  22. Every time I look at your review I like this set more and more. I was initially just interested in the bigger sets but, I am really starting to think that this is a set that I will definitely get.
  23. I just talked to a clerk at ToysRus and she quickly brushed me off and said that they would not be available until April. Well she was just unpacking a new cart of legos and I wouldn't be suprised of some of those boxes contained Prince of Persia Legos. I also talked to a clerk at the Lego store over the phone and she said no Prince of Persia until April 1st. I guess I was lucky to have the Battle of Almut and the Quest Against Time shipped to me last week from ToysRus.com.
  24. Yeah, probably. But, who I wonder would buy the Prince minifigure on ebay $23. I can maby see somebody selling a $30 set for $60 to some rich guy but just one minifigure for $23. That truly is rediculous.
  25. I guess for me the BSB is too fancy to be a two masted ship. I would expect that level of decor for something like a big man of war not a two masted brig.
