-

We all now know that servo at Lego World the other week was a Lego designers own flight of fancy.....a MOC itself. I would enter a gas station contest any day of the week......but the mod's have the final word on anything like that so I say wait and see.

Thanks for the positive vibes 'gazumpty' and I believe those bricks are currently available in three colours. More tomorrow......though I do need some ideas for a Dodge truck to go in the yard there ?
-
Thanks for the positive vibes 'timmyc1983'.....nice to see you here too ! And remember things that are big in America can be big in Canada too ! Keep watching !
-
It now continues here another w-i-p....... This of course more to come.....I have left room for at least one vehicle. A roof is coming soon.....hopefully tomorrow. Comments welcome !
-
Nice idea, but only moderators and EB staff can organize contests......I suggest PM'ing 'Rick' since he's in charge of the Town Forum.....along with 'Hinckley'.

Thanks 'Faefrost' for your kind words and I could only guess at what "lubritorium" could mean these days ?
-
Well the title has also fallen out of use in modern day Australia, but every AMPOL servo back in the 1940's and 1950's carried that word across it's garage entrance.
-
Oh, dear....the gloves are off are they ? Maybe we could get another contest in this forum......I wonder what the mod's say eh ?
-
Now I was thinking that but would required a lot of rebuilding the roof with a frame work to take tiling as to also not look to thick.
-
Trust me, I have three on Cuusoo, Shell at 87. Octan at 36 and BP at 23 so I'm not sure how that one would go and mine except the Shell seem like a waste of time....like they are way off 10K. I guess less might mean more......you may not have too add too much to the roof.......you don't want to over kill it do you ? .
-
Now some one is being cheeky ! Now the pizza guy isn't a very good undercover cop.......the back of his jacket said 'Police' ! You know the tiger might have to knock up another gas station this week.
-
Look at my last Ford dealership building at the tyre rack very similar to those found at servo's. Ah, now the roof issue.....perhaps a sign similar to that on 7993 ?
-
Thanks for the great feedback 'LEGO Historian', those signs were either simply created in MS Paint or actual images of signs then touched up in Paint or convert old 50's newspaper ads also touched up in Paint. Brick On everyone......back to Canada now !
-
Take a look at my past tyre bay workshops for rack ideas 'jonwil'.
-
Roadway section fixed......added some minifigs too ! Local girl made good in Hollywood returns home to see her dad on a surprise visit to his garage. Her manager and butler joined her......look out she just saw her ex-boyfriend in the distance. Comments still welcome......Brick On everyone !
-
Going to complete it are we ? I must say it's more an early 20th century gas station than an 1970's one.
-
Glad my designs can help you 'jonwil', keep going and Brick On !
-
Not bad little gas station and yes, build a post office next.......though do you have an interior inside the gas station ? Brick On 'Electricsteam' !

[MOC] VR Class Dr16 Diesel-Electric Engine.
lightningtiger replied to Lego Junkie's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I agree.....a wonderful looking engine and excellent custom rails 'Lego Junkie' and Brick On ! -
They are all great modular designs, but the first one totally rocks with it's very original sloped outwards front design......Brick On 'Freddie' !

Nice red roadster 'SalvoBrick'......I do like a lot.....Brick On Drive On !
-
Remember how I did the air & water points in my designs 'jonwil'......they are easy. Driveway roof problem eh ? Lighting.....you need lighting at night do you ? Security cameras can be as simple as a trans-clear slope piece on a headlight brick in the wall up high or mounted on the ceiling. Oh, yeah for the pricing signage out the front why don't you copy the one from that Lego World display last week or your own version of a BP or Coles Express one. Your project is driving me further to start work on my roadhouse rebuild for Cuusoo......well anyway keep going and Brick On !
-
Ah, I found a Dodge dealer in Wynyard, SK.....the name sounds familiar to me.....perhaps it has to do with IRT on A&E ! I only need to create an office/parts counter to attach to the workshop entrance and bingo Dodge dealer done......all minus vehicles......oop's I knew I forgot something ! Any suggestions or ideas......I would be very grateful for any help.
