If they are possessed, then these they arent ghosts. They are demons. TLG probably didnt want any controversy around it and they jusy calles them ghosts.

My god these look amazing!!! Love them all! Thanks LEGO for trying something new and innovative for an house theme. It seems this will be a worthy successor of Monster Fighters Hope it will last more than just 1 wave.

I think the Oz characters should have been its own set with a yellow road. Like the seasonal vignettes -

You can almost smell the plastic of all the Frozen merch that is being produced right now. I hope they will pull something better for Olaf this time around. I also expect a new ponytail hairpiece for Elsa

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Robert8 replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Honestly? It makes sense to me. People are going to buy them anyway because its Avengers Endgame merch, so they can save some money on secondary characters. Its not like Marvel LEGO fans wont buy a set from the most anticipated movie in a decade just because a minor character doesnt have leg printing. Less investment, more profit. Clever business decision -

Agree. The bike is huge and awful. A few months ago some people were complaining about that oversized spiderman bike, and there you... Its back! I wonder how accurate is that to the real bike on the film -

Yes, a baby head would work.... -
About the licensed vs in-house discussion, the issue here is clearly the licensed sets, because LEGO has 100% control over their original themes. For instance, Chris Miller and Phil Lord wanted ClockWork Orange characters/references in The LEGO Movie, but TLG said no. And that was it. In case of the licensed sources, TLG approved Terminator and Hot Tub Time Machine references because what appeared wasn't R-rated: it was taken out of context. With the Obi Wan vs Anakin fight set, you can say the same: It's taken out of context, so it works. You know what follows next, but that's because you watched the movie. There is nothing about it in the set. The Anakin minifigure has some printing depicting what happened in the scene, but it's clearly tuned down compared to the movie: he is not missing any limbs, his eyes are not red, etc... And the same applies with most of the sets mentioned here. And yeah, the issue is mostly with licensed sets because LEGO doesnt have any control over the source material But why do they choose movies that have scenes that can be considered non kid-friendly like the Anakin vs Obi Wan fight? Well because of money. TLG is a business company. They are trying to make money. And they know that scene is well-known among AFOLs which also part of the target demographic of Star Wars. I won't talk about the other issues mentioned here, but it's the same: TLG is a business company, not a NGO. Why wasn't the Grindelwald/Dumbledore relantionship openly shown in Fantastic Beasts? Well, because that would mean an instant ban on China and Russia, and that's a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$. The same applies here.

The Duplaliens saying "We are here to destroy you" thing is probably how Finn sees his sister's "invasion" About the Fabulanders, we don't know if they were actually slaves, right? They weren't shown suffering or being whipped

Hmmm But they would have to explain why Gotham City wasn't attacked by Duplo aliens over the 5 years between the first invasion and the arrival of Sweet Mayhem Considering Alfred, Batman and Harley Quinn were living in Apocalypsburg, then it's safe to assume Gotham was also destroyed. On the opposite, if TLBM2 takes place AFTER TLM2, then that means Gotham is now part of which might be odd. With Ninjago, at least you can say that story doesn't take place in the same universe, but TLBM is Finn's collection. Larry the Barista and Kebab Bob even showed up there

I agree the Queen palace should have been bigger. But it looks great anyway ... There are only 2 more sets for the second wave because I forgot the Rexcelsior is part of the second one. We are missing Sytar Benny and Sytar Metalbeard. Hmmn I think we are done with Apocalypsburg with the Triple Couch mech set. I dont think there will be more sets related to the area. The remaining ones will be Systar System themed for sure. After seeing the movie, Im even more confident Fabuland characters will return here -

Oh these look great! I wasnt expecting pics so early.... I think the other 3 sets have to be super spoilery and thats why they werent revealed here. -
The LEGO Movie 2! Loved it

We have to wait to see if they bargained with another line and maybe the fabric piece was made with another line's budget like Ninjago or something, just appearing here first
-
Ah? If there is a theme in the works, then they woudn't approve the set. They would wait and release the 4 main characters with exclusive hairpieces, like Scooby Doo.
-
And he was in TLM1 If Ninjago was big enough to get its own movie, I was expecting at least 1 cameo. Also because Finn owns sets from TLNM, as Renny pointed out

The time travel cant be real because 1. Rex would have dissapeared right after he saved Enmet from the Asteroid. Because that would have prevented Rex existance in first place 2. That would mean the Rexcelsior just appeared right in front of Finn. Or if Finn didnt see appear, at least it materialised without any explanation. Finn would have noticed if a huge spaceship appeared out of nowhere. 3. When Emmet-Rex went to change himself into this Rex Dangervest self, he took the Rex hairpiece out of Finn's inventory but that hair element is exclusive of the Rex minifigure. If Finn owns it, it means he already had the Rex minifigure 4. During the movie-before the reveal- you can hear Finn mentioning time travel while playing. That means thats a story he came up with to play with Emmet and Rex
