It's simple, yet effective. It does what it's supposed to be, a tire shop. I can't say anything else other than good job. It can probably put next to 7642 without problem, too.

The shape is perfect! I like the front cab. There are a couple of things I don't like, though: -yellow. RVs are usually white, sometimes beige/tan or black, but never bright yellow. -It wasn't much of a problem with your Hummer, but here it's more obvious: the back. The point of SNOT designs is to make the model look smooth and studless, but the back almost contradicts the concept, as piece bottoms are more of an eyesore than studs. Also, back needs details (like the ladder and the backlight from 7639) Still, to build an entire thing using SNOT is impressive nonetheless.

To be honest, I'd say it's definitely not much at all A few parts swapped from what I can tell, but it's 99% stock 7991 still.

I very much doubt the Camper is going to be discontinued anytime soon; it's not even a year old in the shelves. From where I live, it's stock is healthy, every store that sells LEGO has them. shop.lego.com also has it (and coast guard sets too)

That's a whole lotta trans-blue.... and grey, which makes me wish I snagged the Eiffel Tower (between that and Cafe Corner, I just had to choose Cafe Corner) The skyscraper may look a bit simple right now but once it gets some more height it's going to be a commanding presence in the city and will be a sight to behold. Build taller, higher!

Yeah, we can't get anyone on the internet to spill the beans to early, and they're doing a mighty fine job doing just that. Google just keeps bouncing me back on this thread, or Svelte's MOC.

muwahaha, look at 3 or 4 people quickly respond. I guess I'm not the only one with a knee-jerk reaction to click at this thread everytime there's a new post.

It's brilliant... everything is brilliant. Even the bus stop is simple yet quite something.

*cough10197FireBrigadecough* Looks almost exactly similar to the image you provided, too.

The 2010 Fire Boat just appeared on my local TRU, so I guess it's not too long until we see reviews of the new city sets. And on a related, wider-scope note, the new CREATOR sets sans the Apple Tree House are also stocked. Also, the basic gas station in this thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35303 is also stocked aplenty, $9.99 at TRU, as well as some basic house, also $9.99 (sorry no pics) Time to get broke! Christmas is a comin!

Thanks for the review! Looks more like a legit fire station than the last one, but I don't like the little baseplates. I miss the days where they give at least one 32x32. Lots of new pieces, too!
-
It's nice. Suggestion is to shorten the axle width---wheels are too far out. Otherwise, awesome. I like the front bumper.

Are we getting a new service station soon ?
wooootles replied to lightningtiger's topic in LEGO Town
^I think current LEGO cars still fall within 4-wide category so these 2 vehicles can fit right within the big-bad 6 wide trucks of LEGO City just fine. -
My, this is excellent The presentation is nice! Now, one needs to do the episode where they build an amphibious car!

Aww I thought 7993 successor when I clicked the link. But then, the vehicles aren't too bad. I hope its $10US like the other basic sets. -
Some say that his body parts are modular... And that he is on the run from the Space Police. All we know is, he's called The Stig. Haha, seriously this is great news. Top Gear and LEGO---what's not to like? Even though my own Stig is just an easy mismash of parts from town sets, I'd stil like an official version. Hopefully though, they sell it here in the US.

7641 must be something of a growing legend - I see quite a few classic-styled MOCs based on 7641! My suggestion - can you utilize another baseplate to make it a one-story building? Being in a rural area, I'm sure they have acres upon acres of land, thus no need of a two-story building.
-
wow, the entire thing is SNOT it seems like. The proportions are definitely impressive. Can a minifig (or 2) sit in?
-
Yeh, I'd like to see a Hospital with the budget of the current police station ($80-100). If it takes the size of the Police Station building I wouldn't have a problem with it. Also, needs -A nice ambulance that is worth $20-22ish if sold separately -helicopter that can airlift a stretcher -a civilian car -8 minifigs (civilian, ambulance driver, copter pilot, 2 doctors, 2 nurses, receptionist) -an ER entrance to the building Am I asking for too much?
-
Police 7236 is also the same case as the Fire Station. Maybe there's only so much you can do with cop car and fire engine variations that they'll probably get a makeover only after there is a new vehicle standard, or a new piece that revolutionizes LEGO vehicle building.
-
No, I don't think so. You cited yourself as someone who liked civilian sets as a kid...but do you speak for all the other kids out there? They've been cranking out newer and newer versions of Fire and Police since FOREVER... and apparently that plan works. Now, I'm with most of you guys, that I'd rather see more banks, bus stations, offices, stores and whatnot than "not another fire station!", but apparently LEGO knows something we don't, that they must milk Fire/Police. At least it's been better the past few years, as we have CREATOR and modulars (as well as awesome classic-like sets like Town Plan and Winter Toy shop) for civilian needs. As for actual CITY civilian set wish list, have they ever had a replacement for Sail N' Fly Marina? It was one set in the 90s I wish I had but didn't

I like it. Nice use of space. Fully tiled is a plus for me (since it's modular standard more or less) Nice use of Technic as well!

Sams Club has Two LEGO Sets
wooootles replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Both the sets on the OP is in here in our local Sam's in TN. I picked up 2 copies of the Beach House for $21.88+tax (less than 5 cents/piece, and as a town collector, I can NOT resist), and here, the Beach House they have on the shelf is thinning while the Agents set is still fully stocked. -
New element: Brick 1 x 1 with stud on 1 side
wooootles replied to Rick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Bought a snowman, my local TRU had a bunch. It comes with 6 of those SNOT pieces (plus quite a few good MOC pieces like jumpers), so I'll buy some more. -
New element: Brick 1 x 1 with stud on 1 side
wooootles replied to Rick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hah, about time! Now, they just need to stick these new bricks on EVERY SET EVER so they can be viable for MOCs (with high supply it would be readily available on BL or maybe S@H). As it stands, I'll probably still use the old version for my future projects.
