Or as some of us know him as Cliff Clavin. Cheers!

What is obvious by your post is you do not have children or interact with them in other than a store environment. I'm pretty sure when I watched scooby Doo as a child I knew nothing of hippies or yuppies. I do not see how knowing what they are matters in the very least. Neither does it matter to my three children who also like scooby doo. Children do love fun shows, dogs, and yes they also love mystery. My oldest daughters favorite part of scooby is the traps, And their friends like the show as well. There is of course a reason why scooby doo is still around and not because old farts like me are watching it. You of course do not need to take my word. There of course a reason TLG has a plethora of themes available because yes there a variety of people who have a variety of interests. Children are wonderful because not only do they have great imaginations, their play is not limited by a very narrow viewpoint. Nor do they confine themselves to stereotypes placed upon them by adults. Children of course are much smarter than many give them credit and they can surprise you almost every day. TLG understands children very well.

That seems unlikely as they probably save such shows for revealing more TFA sets. I expect the echo base to be given a seperate media reveal.

Is LEGO being unfair with gameplay?
Darth Punk replied to gamejutzu's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Tempest in a teapot. All of the Lego games require using a variety of characters to complete the variety of tasks. Which is hardly limited to this genre of games. -
Seems the black line is just representing the bottom curve of the real helmet. Without it the helmet would like it had a large chin. Most likely TLG couldn't create a helmet with such a sharp inverted v at the bottom so use a graphic to define the helmet. Frankly it's nothing. TLG doesn't create replicas. If you are going to be that picky about one little line possibly a alternative medium might better suit your exacting standards that TLG will never replicate.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
Darth Punk replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Unless of course the release date in the u.s. Is different. Closer to the scooby doo release which I believe is also earlier in the u.s. -
Actually PC gaming is surging back. http://www.cnet.com/news/playing-games-on-the-pc-is-making-a-comeback/ That being said, I agree dimensions will do just fine and most likely will add a pc version in the future based on sales growth.

Magical creatures movie in fall 2016.

It's highly unlikely TLG is going to release a ucs for a movie that hasn't even been released yet. There are of course plenty of sets that we hear little or nothing about until official announcement. Plus the fact that play sets would be bigger spoilers than a ship which is why we won't be seeing any in September. And the original rumor never stated the Hoth base was a ucs. That's something that speculation has added on. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-2015-set-release-dates-and-promo-details/
-
There also has been a trend for TLG to use smaller pieces for better detailing. Thus piece count shouldn't be relied on exclusively to compare sets.
-
As River Song would say, spoiler!
-
I got what you said, I just don't agree. The more apt comparison would be the imperial shuttle.
-
I suspect the portion below the fuselage folds inward while in a v shape. And folds down to act as landing gear. I also think it's the same ship. I'm not sure what red ship you are referring to since the only on I remember seeing as concept art looked more like a tie bomber.

I'm really confused, how are the names of characters which will be in sets, spoilers? Or whose picture is plastered all over the box? If these are things you don't want to know then you might want to consider avoiding this topic altogether since I'm not sure how we will be able to,talk about the sets without mention people like the main villain. We are getting a main villain set and guess what, his name will be on the box. Beyond that if you think some thing is spoiler put it in a tag. If you, don't want to read spoilers beyond what is obvious related to a set, don't read the spoiler tags.

Because at that point he was head of the naval intelligence agency. Thus reassumed his naval title from his days in the galactic republic. . He was a colonel in the galactic empire which might be more equivalent to the army. Hope that clears it up.

Why would that be weird? Jurassic World has a movie tie in plus sets and other merchandise. Where as Dimensions is a whole new system that relies solely on direct advertisement at this point.. I would also hazard a guess TLG would view dimensions as a great bit more important.

I agree, Kanan dying first seems more likely. Maybe at the end of season 2 with season 3 perhaps 4 being the training of Ezra by Ashsoka. I think it's always been apparent that Kanan was only ever going to take Ezra's training so far. As for Rogue One its really hard to say when it might begin. How much backstory is used, how long it takes to actually plan and steal the DS plans. And how ever long it takes to get them to Leia before she is eventually captured. And it's likely there is more than one group attempting to steal the plans. I do think it's very possible we will see rogue one characters appearing in rebels. Frankly, I'm waiting for Boba Fett to make an entrance. But if we do eventually see timeline overlap it will be very minimal.

Exactly, thank you. Anyone who is interested should contact Lego ideas directly for an explanation of the purpose and meaning regarding the preliminary licensing review. They have made comments in the past and is not exactly a state secret but for clarity it would be helpful for some. As for Lego Dimensions it's most unlikely that the TLG had this in mind when they first obtained the middle earth license. Also, as it involves a variety of parties an extension of the current middle earth license also seems unlikely. TLG has had ample time to make use of its current license and for unknown reasons has chosen not to do so. It's logical to conclude that TLG wouldn't extend nor obtain a new license to do what they could have already done. There isn't any evident nor precedent that I know of that would lead one to conclude that Lego Dimensions will lead to construction sets of any kind beyond the size and scope of thoses we have already seen in relation to the game. I am of course very happy for the inclusion of LoTR in dimensions but am under no illusion that the game will lead to something more. Despite 177 pages of this portion of LoTR future set discussion reality has not changed despite how positive we are now or once were. Some times it's just best to enjoy what you have than worry about what you don't.

A seperate licensing agreement would have been created for dimensions which involves a variety of parties. A license dealing directly a video game and the time period in which such a game could possibly exist. And just as skylander and infinity one buys an expansion pack and gets a figure (in this case what amounts to a polybag) and the ability to use said figure and the related world. There is nothing in there that implies other products would be produced not explicitly related to the game and it's play. The ideas clearing the license is a legal matter of ensuring that the license is not now nor will be owned by another party when the set would be created. The Dr. who license is an example of said review triggering the removed of dr. Who sets from ideas until at which point the license was freed for future use. At which point ideas made a statement allowing dr. Who related material to be included for inclusion. All the ideas licensing review means is there is not another entity owning said license that would create a licensing conflict. The licensing parties for Lego Dimension is shown on its front page: © 2015 The LEGO Group. ™ & © DC Comics. THE LEGO MOVIE © The LEGO Group & WBEI. © New Line. ™ & © SZC lic. to WBIE. ™ & © Universal Studios and U-Drive Joint Venture. ™ & © WBEI.

Yes, but what would be the point of continuing rebels beyond the beginning of ANH? They can just end it without killing anyone off. I think Disney will later be more interesting in tackling what happens before and after this next trilogy and beyond. As rebels I think is mainly about filling in gaps between pt and OT.
-
Leia wasn't a Jedi either but was considered as a hope if Luke were to fail. And if Kanan, Ezra or Ashsoka were alive during ANH they would have been known to the rebels. Leia would have asked for their help since they knew her adopted father. My guess is that they will not want to cross streams and conclude rebels before the beginning of ANH.
-
I missed that, thx. I had only heard that is was going to be double the number of season 1. The season 2 premier is this summer, maybe they'll release it then?
-
Yes, season 2 will have 30 episodes.

Most likely LoTR is being included in dimensions because the Lego LoTR game did well. Whether the individual sets were successful or not is really irrelevant. We can all agree that LoTR is a popular theme, but it still remains to be seen if that translates into toy sales. I also would add while people keep referring the dimensions LoTR as sets, they really are nothing more than one would see in a polybag. Expect you are also paying for the right to use said character in relation to the game.
