  1. Clicking through the "Related Posts on that sight I found this http://krisabel.ctv.ca/post/A-Preview-Of-L...-Of-Persia.aspx Interesting, if you go to the "City" page the repair truck and yellow semi both have "Confidential" stamps on the box art. Sal WFB, WI
  2. theres a lot of talk about this "truck stop" but has anyone seen/heard any concrete proof of its existance? all i remeber hearing was a post that "a source said there was "a lot of octan signage" Define "a lot" The city corner set has "octan signage" on the bus. Im not covinced it is a truck stop even though I did vote for it. weve seen alot of the objects in the concept art from the poll in sets to be released so its hard to say what it will be. I think we all need to stop speculating to the point it becomes "fact" and wait at least for some more concrete proof. Sal WFB, WI
  3. If I may, it seems a lot of the complaints in terms of power are in regards to the PF train motor. and since most AFOLs have 9v motors couldnt you merely plug the 9v motor in place of the PF train motor and then youll have the proper gearing. for those a little more technical, what about re gearing the PF train motor? i would think it might be possible Sal WFB, WI
  4. After reading your post I remembered seeing this on brickshelf http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=399263 Sal WFB, WI
  5. i just uploaded some pics to brickshelf of my winter toy shop lit up with some model railroading lights. the parts are all very inexpensive and nice and small. the lights fit within a brick or tecnic pin nicely. take a look http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=412145 any questions or comments you can email me sciofani@gmail.com Sal WFB, WI
  6. try going to your local hobby shop they will be able to tell you what you need to make the liqid smoke produce smoke. if all you need to do is put the liquit smoke in the model. you could mak a little container out of some small copper or other tubin with a cap perminantly attatched to the bottom and a screw on cap on the top. but chek with a local hobby shop they will have almost all the nswers. i would recomend bringing the model you plan to put the fake smoke in. 7. several years ago i built a rock stage complete with lights hanging from trusses. i bought model railroad lights, wire, transformer, switches and a terminal block from a local hobby shop the trans former puged into the wall connected to the switches. from the switches i used wire to the terminal blocks. i had six switches and 20 something lights. i ran wire from the terminal blocks up the towers to the lights. the likes were buil from 1x1 round plates (trans) 1x1 round bricks and 1x1 plates with upright holder. i stuck the lights in the brick with the wires coming out between the round brick and the plate with upright holder. the plate with upright holder allowed the lights to be connected to the trusses. it worked well and was inexpensive. and expandible if you plan ahead. unfourtunately i took it apart after a year or so to redesign the stage . still have the lights and all. ill make an example post a picture sometime soon.
  8. There is also a motor identical to the 9V motor ecept for the metal wheels avaliable that can be connected with the small extension wire to the IR reciever so you dont need to mess with gears. Sal WI USA
  9. nice truck. recently i ordered some stuff from LDD and noticed the price difference between LDD and PAB some parts in LDD are more expensive but some ar cheaper. i posted about it on T-n-T. it takes a while but i went through excel and figured piece by piece where it was cheaper (LDD or PAB) and ordered it from the cheapest source. it still easier than bricklink. was able to shave like $15 - $20 dollars of so you may want to try that. I wrote to LEGO to inquire about the price difference and they said it is for packaging for LDD. B>S> if you ask me.
  10. very nice, love the decals. I am trying to make some decals for some locomotives I made. How did you make your decals?
  11. ENTERED (but please resize your picture) This is a North American style EMD MP15AC. it is modeled after one of several used by the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad (WSOR). the WSOR is a reginal railroad headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Eventually I plan to build a layout representing this railroad but for now i just have this locomotive. I plan to add decals eventually, but dont have the material yet. comments and questions always welcomed sciofani@gmail.com mor pictures on Brickshelf
