For a whopping 10 gold? Oh my god. Skrall's going to be unstoppable.
-
I think I know what JimB's thinking. And I hope so, because that would be awesome.
-
"Nah, he's perfectly in his right mind and can handle himself, for the most part. He's just a megablock." "Aye, you've handled the tough Quests easily. I pretty much crippled us during our battle with Lyons and you still beat the shit outta him. And calm the hell down, damn..," he grumbled.
-
Atramor couldn't help but cackle into his bottle as Boomingham made his point about wanting to behead Wolfgang. "If it's anythin' like last time, ya'll be very satisfied, mate. Ah, this'll be a good time. Gonna have to make sure the weather's decent on the boat trip, though... Last time I was on one didn't end well. But, eh, that's a story for another time. I see ya've been on a lotta Quests since that warehouse too. That's good, I think we'll need all the experience we can get. They really wanted that keystone, can't imagine what's inside..." He grinned, picturing endless riches swarming with EXP enemies.
-
"I have no idea, Arthur, she said he had information about how to contain a divinity, but I doubt that means he'd be alive for long." Atramor turns to Nyx, and shakes his head in disgust. "Mate, I've had a lotta drinks over the years, but I don't know how the hell this...fruit punch can pass for booze. Spiced rum's the most flavor I'm willin' to get outta a drink...well, in any case, it's good to see you're friendly with Boomin'ham, it means he's either hardy enough to handle a serious Quest or outta his damn mind. Party leaders are generally onna the two."

...Kill the person who repeats it. No, I actually find the background of Wren and her motives quite interesting, though I often get a headache when I try to put it all together.
-
The point is we're trying to kill her, okay? Who cares why she's crazy?
-
"I think ya' guys are overthinkin' it. Wren is just a crazy zealot obsessed with chaos. Plain and simple, and she deserves her head on a plaque in the hall. As for her purpose in Dastan, she told us all right before she left: she wants to bring Zoot to the livin' world. Sacrificed Sphinx, tried to do so to Ella, and, well...I dunno. I don't make a fuss about the gods, but, well, from what I can see, it looks like she might actually be able to do it. Stole an object from Dastan, some sort of device called the Spiritus Intendere, supposed to make spirits submit to a mortal. I think in the end, she'll be destroyin' herself tryin' to use it..." Atramor shrugged casually, gulping his rum.
-
Atramor grinned as his name was called by the all-too familiar town watchman. Best part, he'd met his entire party before - Boomingham, well, it was nearly a year ago, during their first Quest, but he didn't seem to have change, judging by his intoxicated form lumbering around the saloon. Ellaria he'd also met, and apparently she was now a Druid, not to mention Rufindel was coming along again. Those two alone could handle the entire party's healing, which gave him much more opportunity to cut up some enemies. And of course, Nyx and Skrall, who'd been in Dastan as well. All in all, a highly effective sounding party.
-
Quests 38 and 40's parties are just fantastic.
-
Hell yeah. And probably Rogue. But the Thothwick-type of Rogue who just remains to himself quietly than the Atramor-type Rogue.
-
They're good for practicing your extortion. Tell him, posades.
-
Rufindel's back! Again! On a somewhat related note, when do you expect to post the chosen heroes, Scuba? I doubt it, artifacts and special weapons are completely separate. We're stuck peddling those to other heroes.
-
"...Damn. You've been asleep long enough," chuckles Atramor, nodding to Rufindel and scratching the feathers behind McCafferey's neck.
-
Atramor strides back into the hall as well, grinning as Galen's gold and Namyyra's Topaz had been left behind in exchange for his Katana and Scroll of Sealing, respectively. He scooped both into his cloak, taking one of the few remaining seats at the bar, vaguely ordering an odd-sounding beverage everyone (even Wren) seemed to enjoy - though, once served, the fruity, inhumanly sweet colors and aromas turned him off. Only a cautious sip was taken before he sputtered the brew back into its cup. "Sweet friggin' Ennoc, that's booze?! What have you people done to this stuff??" He shook his head, instead just ordering a welcoming bottle of rum.
-
Atramor stops, turns, and blinks at Arthur. With a shrug, he holds out the Crown to him. "I don't see why not. Hope you're not too superstitious, nobody that is likes weapons or artifacts with troubled pasts. I say they're just missin' out on opportunity." He handed off the Crown to Arthur - but his trip to the marketplace wasn't a total waste. He looked around briefly inside Fabian's, pulling out a pair of Counterstrike Gloves. He examined them for a moment, then pulled them on. The stark blue color contrasted terribly with his outfit, but...oh well. Handing 80 gold to Fabian, he set back off for the hall.
-
...Damn it.
-
Worth a shot. They would've decimated the Wolfgang anyway in the last battle of Quest 23. And I think I might get them just in case you try and pull that again.
-
Do the Counterstriking Gloves just cause level-based damage to the enemy after a free hit in the form of using a weapon, or just base damage? IE, would the Badly Poisoned effect of a Witch's weapons be dealt, along with any other effects the weapon might be carrying?
-
Generally jousts are just tournaments for honor, you're not really supposed to kill your opponents. But I'm just nitpicking.
-
It's not really an honorable fight if you kill him, though, is it?
-
You might've missed it in the mass of posts from the heroes returning from Dastan, Quarryman, but Atramor offered a Scroll of Sealing and 50 gold for the Topaz.
-
NAY.
-
Atramor ambled around the marketplace, and as usual vaguely browsed the wares, but stopped quite suddenly at one of the many shop alcoves. From the inside came an eye-watering array of garments. Also from there strode an odd-looking elf, who looked...well, quite pleasred at the sight of another customer. This must be the Fabian he'd heard of. With a shrug, he lifted the dusky, but nonetheless golden Ancient Crown from his head, holding it up to the tailor. "Er, hello. Any chance I could get this thing priced? Ya' won't find another like it, pried it off the skull of a twice-deceased Dastanian emperor myself. It's a nice piece of equipment, but I'm afraid that my Witchly abilities make it a bit...redundant."
-
Atramor can't help but glance at McCafferey as Arthur states his suspicions, but she merely continued to peck away at the crumbs on the counter that Scheherazade hadn't gotten to yet. "I don't think too much of those feelins', mate. They just make ya' paranoid."
