  1. I'll try to kill the Fields Party ASAP!
  2. Thank you, by the way. Between this and Dastan, he owes us like 3 Phoenix Essences, I swear...he's a Dragon Knight, he should have a shield or something. "I think Skrall could keep Vonnetate busy while Hoke revives Gnash. What do ya' think?"
  3. Well, that's what I say in France...
  4. Yeah...we're going to have get Gnash up, too. Why do all the important NPCs keep dying around Atramor? He saw every single person on that list get killed.
  5. Hoke is immune to Fragile, he has the Lieutenant's Helmet. Skrall should have the option to Favor Beasts now, and he should be Encouraged, and Haldor Hastened. And just to make sure, Enraged takes place after a hero's targeted Vonnetate, right? So their attack could still potentially be from the back? Atramor curses, continuing trying to heal himself, in the back row. "Haldor, ya' have four tries to get rid of Vonnetate's armor, use them."
  6. Wish there was something more I could do, but I suppose not. As they say in France, adios.
  7. .... Almost had me for a minute there. Like any of the NPCs are going to survive this...
  8. Whoops. Okay, redact that last line and the bit where I said that's exactly what happened.
  9. I have brought up almost all of this in public. I'll dig up quotes for that in a bit if you need them. Like I said, when you're so seriously convinced I'm scum, it's easy for you to take questions or statements like these and turn them around against me. I don't comment much on other cases when I'm being attacked because I know at least a few people are going to call me out for 'deflecting suspicion.' I think we talked about this in private. Everyone thinks you suspicious because you're being aggressive, but I know that's just how you play townie. I don't exactly understand this question. Are you asking why I didn't comment on the play, or in general in earlier days? Answered this above. To add to that, you're the only person that seems like you're trying to get anything done. That's an easy one: because it leads to crap like this. If I was seen targeting CM, I would be in trouble, which isn't a very good thing for a power role. Oh! Look, I was seen targeting CM. Now I'm in trouble and we've more or less lost a power role. I'm sorry my role's convenient for a scum to claim. But it's my role. I can't defend myself against that. And it's easy to confirm, you just have me track someone and see if my result matches up with the person that someone targeted. Gonna be much harder now that my role's known, though. When did I give that indication? I try to track people who don't seem like they have night actions so I can claim to them and have a trustworthy contact. I can't remember the last time I've seen an actionless scum. It's pretty rare nowadays. Know that you mention it though, maybe it wasn't a complete shot in the dark. I did want my contact to be experienced in these games. That wasn't as much a contradiction as poor wording on my part. I generally target people who aren't being suspicious Day One. Out of those people, it wasn't a very informed decision that I targeted CM. I try to find at least one person to trust to pass on any particularly useful tracking results without revealing myself. What the hell is 'Town work?' Sorry, I didn't think you'd exactly be cooperative considering I was in the middle of defending myself. I've seen in previous games how to tend to toy around and open lively discussion with suspects just to get a better feel for them. And I guess you succeeded in that partially in our PM. But how can I expect to help you get anywhere in 'Town work' when you don't trust me? You asked for information, and I was happy to help because you said it was for the town. If you want to take it and just strangle your tracker to death with it, so be it. I call complete megablocks on that you had CM watched, by the way. You're just trying to assure everyone of your theory by crafting the situation you say I was protecting myself against. If that's how convinced you are, fine, go string along every single person here to get me lynched. At least you're trying.

  11. Generally I give it time after I defend myself to bring up suspicion on anyone else, else I be accused of trying to throw suspicion off me. And sometimes that's not the best approach. Barbara claims this tracker has some sort of weird modifier, so it's not out of the realm of reason that both of us can exist and be town. And like Stacy says, I've had enough role outing for one day. There's a good chance I'm dead tomorrow, so if this other guy's identity is out in the open, then he's probably dead soon too. I'm suspicious of him too, but not to that point.
  12. The way I see it, I might have just saved you from even further suspicion in doing that. How would it look for you if I successfully defended myself in private, and then a majority of people asked for my name. What would you say? "Oh, he's defended himself well enough in private. Back to other suspects." Show of hands, how many people would find that suspicious, when considering how much people seem to think he's deflecting suspicion from Mary? It might've kept a role from being revealed, but you'd lose even more credibility for it. Not to mention, you looked to me like you were twisting my words a little in public, I wanted to defend myself against that in public. How isn't being neutral a good alternative to being a scum killer? Neutral aren't necessarily bad. Scum are. I know it was light-hearted. Here was my last message. I just elaborated on that exact reasoning in public, and people see it as a reasonable defense. Do you know how much more difficult it is to defend yourself against the accuser in private than it is in public? Easy, to the point where you still think I'm lying. I don't kid myself for a minute any defense I could've made in private would've prevented you from outing me anyway. You're reasonable, but stubborn as all hell.
  13. I'll post them now. Obviously I had good reason to be nervous, it led to you outing me in public. I considered it. Then I figured it wasn't worth bothering trying. And before people start jumping on it, yes, I was pretty amazed a lot more people weren't asking for my name. I know a lot of you find Jonathan fishy for some reason, something else I don't understand, but questions are what to lead to answers in games like these.
  14. "Phil, can ya' knock the furry bastard's teeth out? From the back row, maybe...?"
  15. Zepher, you forgot to remove Hoke's Enraged effect when he got remedied. Atramor grumbles and tries to heal himself again, from the back row. "Forget it...Haldor, can ya' seal the Warrior instead?
  16. Okay...what, you want me to add dirty stuff to the quotes? Those are straight from the PM conversation, save for where the bit where Jonathan mentions why he thought I had a role.
  17. I'm concerned about this other tracker, mostly because the modifier or whatever Barbara says he claims to have seems really odd to me. At the same time, it makes it a little less unlikely we're both town. What kind of confusion do you mean, Diane? You'll probably all end up lynching Jonathan when I come up town.
  18. You say that like my life depended on it. Confessed is the wrong word.
  19. Alright then. Let's start off with the fact that Jonathan first contacted me implying he knew I was out of my cabin. I responded saying I did not trust him with my night action. He replied admitting that he didn't actually know whether or not I was doing anything, just that he assumed I had one due to my overall quiet behavior. So I wasn't claiming to cover to my tracks. He said that he didn't actually know whether or not I had been seen by anyone, so why would I bother lying about my night action and target? He then started asking whether or not I was looking for something, bringing up the neutral jewel thief stuff. At this point I hadn't claimed yet. He's handing me a good one on a silver platter, wouldn't a scum want to go with the role Jonathan thinks he had? And this is where a lot of people seem to have the misconception I claimed because I was in trouble, or I was under suspicion, or whatever. Here's reality. And I guess that's my fault for thinking claiming would actually help the town, when instead the tracker gets outed. Whatever. Why, when given the option to either claim or say absolutely nothing, would a scum choose to lie about his role? I wasn't freaking out, I hadn't been seen, or tracked, or whatever. If I was scum, I would be completely in the clear to say nothing. But no, I'm a townie, and a townie who actually wants to get stuff done. So I went and tried and help by claiming and telling him my target. And now here I am. Later, he asked who I tracked, I said CM, for no particular reason other than that I was looking for someone to try and trust, which is what I usually the first thing I do with an informative role. Maybe he wasn't the best choice to track, I'll admit that. Maybe I'm just too bent on telling the truth in these games to know when it's a bad idea. But I know lying won't get anyone but the scum anywhere, and that compiling the information with have is our best chance to survive. Questions? Comments? Concerns? Votes? Unvotes?
  20. Could Sam Byck be used as a sort of investigator, assuming he's cooperative?
  21. He'll probably out whoever seems most suspicious to everyone so we can vote for him. How aren't we going to be helped by this? It's the first real information we have.

  23. Welcome back to the game, Jeb and Xarrzan.
  24. Atramor stumbles a few feet backwards from the force of Vonnetate's blow, wincing at the slash that had been redirected across his arm. He tried to heal himself from the back row, channeling the spell once more through the now-chipped Ratsbane. His blood may as well have been boiling at the Pongcanis' insult. "There are worse ways to die. I plan on inflictin' all of them."
  25. Edited last round's stats, I'll run the next one in a minute.
